I absolutely loved everything about this hotel! It has everything you need, casino, club, good food, cafe, pool and the friendliest staff that I have ever encountered.The decor throughout the hotel is stunning...it was my kind of style! At check in (I believe his name was Raphael) the receptionist was kind enough to upgrade us from the Garden Tower to the main one, which I really appreciated! The pool area was nice to hang out at while soaking up the sun, and be able to order drinks from the outside bar. If anyone ever visits Santo Domingo, I would definitely recommend this hotel! You will not be disappointed! I wish I could've stayed longer. : (

Excellent service from the moment we arrived. The room was very nice, amazing view. Breakfast was delicious and the staff really friendly and attentive. It was a really nice experience, definitely coming back and would recommend to anyone.

I loved every single thing during my stay. This is my second home. It's the place I go to every time I'm in the country. A special shout out to the guys in the pool area Cristian, Castro Joaquin, pablo, and Jonathan, always making sure my time at the pool is always great. The staff at the restaurant are amazing, always attentive. What can I say, everyone at the hotel, including the casino are very attentive, and they always try to make sure we are having a good time. I feel at home every time I'm there and very welcomed.

There is nothing I can say bad about this hotel.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Keila and Mariam are awesome staff workers. Mileny, who works in the gift shop, was a great help as well. The food was great, and the staff were welcoming. Overall, excellent stay, no complaints. I will recommend it to anyone who visits Santo Domingo. Fitness area, swimming pool very nice as well as a casino if you're a gambler.

The only thing I didn't like was that I had to check out. This hotel is amazing.

The pool is huge! My room was big. Plenty of room. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful! There is a casino, I did not go in since I do not gamble. From the photos display in a section of the lobby, the hotel has been in that area for many years. Good area, not too far from Zona Colonial.

There were minor power outages. TV keep losing signal. Those were the only two minor details that I did not like.

Spacious hotel with a lot of character, located in beautifully maintained grounds. The 3 'pods' by the pool are lovely. Reception staff were very friendly making recommendations for places to visit. Breakfast was amazing. So much to choose from and served till 11a.m. Included a detox drink which I've never seen before. Hermes was very helpful. Thank you

We found it hard to access the tennis courts. Initially we were told it wasn't available till 6pm. Later when we arrived to play we were told there is a strict footwear protocol therefore we couldn't play. Bar service could have been better. Staff did not pay attention when we were ordering, as a result 2 out of 3 drinks were not what we asked for. Double beds seemed too small for 2 adults. They were more like large singles.

The hotel was nice, modern, and clean. Plenty of space for cars to pull in front for check in. The room was huge, well laid out, modern, comfortable, and clean. Loved the comfort of the huge bed too. The staff was super friendly. The TV had a lot of English language channels to watch too. The breakfast was very good with a lot of different items to satisfy anyone's taste. The main restaurant had a good menu that was reasonably priced with good service. The hotel staff / housekeeping do perform periodic health & welfare checks of guests in the rooms, especially if you seem rather too quiet and dismiss housekeeping services. I did not mind and appreciated them checking up on me. I was at the end of a high paced couple weeks of travel and just wanted to sleep in a nice bed and not be disturbed. I felt very safe there.

The breakfast cost about 50% more than the price quoted to me on my reservation (before taxes and service charges). The restaurant and room prices are good, but the added 18% tax, 10% service charge, + any tips you give quickly add up. But that is not the fault of the hotel, that is just a nationwide thing. Plan for that when visiting the DR.

The Renaissance Jaragua is a second home to us where we come conduct business and also enjoy quality time amongst family. The hotel and it's ground are always kept clean and beautiful. The ocean view from the hotel is breathtaking. All the staff are amazing as is all the food, beverages and entertainment! The Jarauga is perfectly situated in the heart of Santo Domingo directly across from the Malecon with beautiful ocean views. The location of the Jaragua makes it easier for us to get around the busy city. The hotel always has a car service available to guests for safe travel. There are several restaurants in the neighborhood, and parks including the Plaza Juan Barron, a small amusement park in walking distance. The hotel has several eating options both indoor and outdoors, a fully equipped gym that my family enjoys using to keep their workout on and the beautiful Zui Spa where they offer many different wonderful services. In addition to having conducted our own business meetings, we have celebrated birthdays and have also witnessed several big conferences and many beautiful weddings hosted on the lovely hotel grounds and banquet halls. A special thank you to some key people that make your day extra special like Argellis & Alfredo who are always ready to welcome you with a smile and Orlando at check in with his awesome customer service ready to assist. The delicious food and wonderful staff at the Luna restaurant Brenda, Ivan, Omar, LLoby, Milcy, Gisel, Hermes, Alex, Mona, Yolbis, Ludy, Avanny & Chef Vianta. Let's talk about my pool crew, the Dream team at the Sol Bar with the best of the best ready to provide service with lots of love, food & drinks Castro, Cristian, Joaquin, Fidel, Jonathan, and the best Chef's in town Pablo And Russo! They always make our stay extra special! Our Sol Bar family surprised me with a beautiful celebration for my birthday!

This is probably the best hotel along the Malecon (waterfront) in Santo Domingo. It's within walking distance of all of Gascue. However, it is a bit of a hike from the Colonial Zone. Clean, modern, and well run.

This hotel is a bit removed from most of the tourist attractions. The price is a bit high, considering the location and that it is only a slight improvement over several of the other hotels along the Malecon.

Great location. Clean, we’ll furnished rooms. Very good buffet breakfast. Lovely and helpful staff everywhere. First rate service.

Some little things need attending: some trash on the grounds, loose railing, broken bathroom soap dispenser, wading pools around the grounds empty and dirty. Didn’t really affect our stay, but there needs to be more attention to detail.
