Everything about my stay exceeded my expectations. The value for what you get cannot be beat. Caesar and his wife are so incredibly nice and accommodating. They truly go out of their way to make your stay the best that they can. The breakfast was fantastic, the check in was seamless. They even offer after hours pickup for a reasonable cost and takes all the worry out of what transportation to take from the airport. If my travels ever take me to Quito again, I will definitely be going back to see them again. Thank you for all you did for me, I am glad to know I have a friend in Ecuador. Blessings to you both.

The friendliness and warmth of the hosts - they could be more friendly and helpful. Blue Door is an arty, warm place, nice ambience... Despite visitor numbers being down there's a nice calming, friendly vibe here. Calming, pleasant music playing all day in the sunny and plant lined inner courtyard. Well appointed, spacious kitchen.. 👍 Internet / WiFi is good when you're neat the router - around 10Mbps in most areas, sometimes as high as 60Mbps near the main router. Blue Door has many atractive thick brick walls - great for classic ambience, but if you're sitting on the other side of one, the wifi signal strength can be weak. But a good signal is always easy to find

The showers can be a little frustrating, cycling hot and cold and needing constant adjustment for that satisfying constant temperature. There's tons of hot water, - gas califonts provide endless hot water, but can be tricky when not perfectly set up. Tip: If you're wanting stunning views and luxury book/request the top floor apartment.

Brilliantly friendly and accommodating host! The location is central for all parts of the city. Facilities modern and functional while being in an authentically charming building. Very happy to have found this place!

The room I chose was great, I upgraded to the suite though (wasn't available on booking for some reason). This place is very well situated near the historical center and has a taxi station right next to it. The family that runs the place is extremely nice and helpful, they offered to provide transportation to go to a variety of places, and picked me up from the airport. The wifi downstairs is insane (200Mbps up/down) which is like very good optic fiber. In the upper rooms it's not always as good but still fairly usable. The value seemed pretty good, it's an average to low price for quito but you get your own room which is nice. Cleanliness and facilities were great. Warm water works, and tap water is drinkable. I definitely recommend this place.

The wifi repeater setup could be improved. I was amazed by the speed I saw downstairs, but upstairs I only got about 10-20 Mbps each way (which is still nice, but feel like a waste knowing 200 should be available) Hopefully this will be fixed soon. Otherwise if you need to download/upload something, spending 2-5 min downstairs should easily do the trick.

The Family who owns the guest house is so nice. They are very helpful and usually around if you need something. The place is absolutely beautiful. We booked the upstairs apartment but got put downstairs the first two nights and then moved upstairs after asking about it. The apartment is very nice. The big room downstairs is nice too, but prefer the apartment since they are the same price. The kitchen has everything you need. We did a day tour with the owner for a fair price. Everything was really really great here!

Great location with everything within relative walking distance. Room was spacious. Owner was great and very welcoming and helpful.

no heat so a bit cold. Enough blankets to stay warm. I also wish they had drinking water available.
