They treated us so nicely. We arrived and the hotel checked us in so smoothly. After checking in they will bring us a pair of cookies as a welcome snack which is very thoughtful. Because of the altitude I felt sick so I wanted hot water and they brought up a tea cup with water. I had my own tea but you can buy tea from them if you want. They provide water bottles as well. At night it gets cold and they don't have a heater in the room but is tolerable but every night they will bring a hot water pouch for you to sleep with. The room was really spacious and bathroom was too.

The neighborhood is not the safest from what we heard some recommending not to be out late. The altitude is very serious so when you come take it easy on your first few days.

Every single staff member was very helpful and attentive from start to finish. I had an early departure for a tour and they arranged an early breakfast for that day. The wifi was fast and reliable, and the beds were super comfortable.

Although it's not the fault of the hotel, the neighborhood (La Mariscal) wasn't exactly what I expected. I read that it was popular for tourists and full of nightlife, but that ended up being a lot of budget backpacker hostels/pubs and mediocre restaurants. The restaurant options are much better in the adjacent neighborhoods (La Floresta and La Carolina). It was still a convenient location for exploring the city, though.

Great room, excellent service, always cleaned whenever we went out and loved having water dropped off to the room because I always forget to buy water. Wonderful reception, Anna is amazing.

Only complaint was the screws on the bottom of the chair were too long and poked me so I had to unscrew it a bit. And there was a couple down the hall having wild but very loud sex a few times. Internet wasn't the strongest, worked okay on our phones but my computer (which always receives a stronger signal and 3-5x the speed) was getting almost no internet speed which is weird.

The staff were very helpful and kind. On our first evening in the hotel room, we were given a hot water bottle and two cookies , a very thoughtful and sweet gesture. The room was also spotlessly clean and very comfortable.

The hotel is located a bit further from the historic center (but still very easy to reach) and the shower only had strong pressure when the water was very hot.

Great value for money. After two nights we went back for a night on our way back. Staff was very friendly, always happy to help. Room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great ($4) with toast, eggs, coffee, juice, granola and chocolate bread! WiFi worked very well.

The hotel was a little noisy, for example from other guests or the dogs outside, but that’s not necessarily the hotel’s fault.

The personnel is the highlight of this hotel. Very courteous, helpful, accommodating. Make fantastic breakfast on order, fruits always fresh, eggs in many ways, very tasty. The location is ok. Midway between Carolina park and old town, walking distance to the bar touristy square (forgot the name). On a small street, ample parking space if you drive. Lovely terrace. They offer hot bottles for the night to keep you warm (for colder nights is very welcom). A nice touch.

The only thing we were surprised is that the junior suite is actually just a simple room, no separate sleeping room and sitting room. It's just a room with a double bed and a sofa, serving as a spare. I got a very different impression from the room description. It was lovely but a bit tight for a family. So if you plan to book a junior suite, be advised to rather book two doubles. But otherwise all lovely, clean, overall a very positive stay.

Really good value. Breakfast was good and cheap. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Bed was comfortable and shower was good quality.

Location isn’t great, near a lot of nightlife which isn’t bothersome when in the property but is off putting when travelling at night time - however similar goes for all around Quito.

The staff are exceptionally friendly and available to answer questions and accommodate your schedule with breakfast service and calling taxis on your behalf. Our room was very clean and the bed the very comfortable. The side street is quiet and close to a quiet part of a main street that leads to the artisanal market and Plaza Foch (a center for dance clubs and Friday and Saturday night revelry). Aside from Friday and Saturday, the neighborhood seems pretty quiet at night.

If you are a very light sleeper, note there are some dogs in the neighborhood (not strays) that might bark occasionally. One dog lives next door to hotel and barks at passersby from behind a solid fence...it might startle you when you pass, but is harmless.

- A good sized room and ensuite. - A lot of restaurants around the area. - The staff were really helpful. - I was cold during the first night. The following day I asked for a duvet and I found one in my room that evening.

- The walls are thin. If you're a light sleeper it might be a problem.
