Wow, what value for the cost! This hotel is in a beautiful historic home (partially designed by a German artist, according to the host) and feels like it should cost much more than it does. Beautiful rooms, lovely common spaces, gorgeous old windows, and a claw foot tub! Very safe & secure with extremely friendly 24 hour staff. If we ever go back to Quito, we’ll definitely stay here.

The staff advised us that the neighbourhood isn’t safe at night, which was fine with us cause we just wanted to relax in-house after dinner, but might not suit everyone. The tub was perfectly clean but definitely in need of reglazing.

I have stayed at the Art Plaza several times. To be very honest its the service that causes me to return. There are 2 Venezuelanos that work there. They are plesant and helpful and always greet with a smile and the desire to be of service. Additionally, they speak wonderful English. Personally, customer serevice in a primary focus when I am away from home. They make the cost worthwile. Thank you for your service.

My 2 issues are the breakfast and the size of the showers. For the cost of breakfast more food should be served. Before, the breakfast was at least sufficient for you to feel like you have eaten. Now the portions are so ridiculously small that I had to leave and take my kids to eat immediatley after. The other challenge for me is that the shower in the room we stayed was so small that I could barely turn around. I am a thin woman thats neither more than average in height or weight, yet I could barely turn around in the shower. Like I have stated, this is not my first time at the Art Plaza, its just that in this room, the shower was too small to be comfortable.

The staff is amazing, always willing to help, they even arranged our taxi to airport at 3.50 am. The bed was super comfortable, the room size is perfect for two. The breakfast was delicious. The location is really good, near to a metro and in a quiet neighborhood

The staff were very friendly and helpful. I could always put my questions to them. In the morning, I was able to enjoy a super tasty breakfast to my own liking. The showers were clean. And it was also nicely decorated. You can also easily arrange a taxi through the hostel.

This place is nice - lots of wood and art-deco vibe, good size rooms, comfortable beds, friendly staff. The value for money is very good. The building is an older one and the rooms themselves are more on the basic side. It is about a 7-8 minute walk to the market and to the Plaza Foch where the dinner restaurants are. For what we paid, we were very happy with this place. The foosball table in the cafe was nice bonus for our teens.

The breakfasts were basic (eggs, very small cheese sandwich, small pineapple/banana fruit bowl)- a little more variety in fruit and/or more generous cheese sandwich serving would help make this a better breakfast. The curtains were very thin, so the room is very light in the early mornings.

Very friendly English speaking staff, nice breakfast, cozy terrace with loads of plants overlooking the area. We stayed for 2 nights and felt very much at home here. Wifi on the terrace is excellent for Zoom calls, however in our room it didn't work well. So if you work whilst traveling you can do this from the terrace or the breakfast room. Easy walking to the nicer part of Quito with loads of restaurants. However, only recommended until sunset just as everywhere in town.

Wonderful breakfast buffet, nice heating system in the clean bedroom & bathroom. Great location, from hotel walks to Metro Station "OF-Ledermuseum" is only about less 200 meters, 9 minutes walk. Across metro station, there is a small shopping mall with LiDL & Rossmann supermarket on 1st Floor. Few restaurants are around the hotel as well. This hotel is located in a Quiet & Safe Neighborhood area. Hotel Airport Pick up & Drop Off, prices are the same as Uber, (Good Service.) I hope you'll enjoy your stay as well!

good amenities overall ok neighbourhood (walking distance to most things within 30 mins walk, but not super central) friendly guy on reception upon arrival in the late evening who spoke perfect English

no hot water in the shower upon payment at check out I was told that I need to pay extra 12 usd if I want to pay by card. clearly it was not communicated anywhere and after us discussing for five mins they dropped the so called ‘charge’. unacceptable to even try

The breakfast was good. The room was okay. They had filtered water for the guests. The terrace was nice and the staff was great.

In the room there was a kitchenette but there were no kitchen utensils. Every restaurants nearby were closed at 7.00 pm, but you can order food from Rappi to the hotel.

The staff is exceptional! Carolina went out of her way to help us organizing tours for the very short time we had in Quito. Without her we wouldn't have managed so much in such a short time, on such a short notice. The setting and decoration of the hotel beatiful. The location is wonderful. The breakfast is excellent! The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The value for money was unbeatable. Would definately stay there again

If you want to pay with a credit card - 12% credit card fees apply. On one of the 3 nights there was no hot water at night - the other days were fine. Don't know if it was a one time glitch...
