I stayed with family here for a couple of days. This hotel is located on the shore of nile River. View from the hotel was wonderful, and we enjoyed a lot from the little balcony in our room. As this hotel is located in the nubian village, we got to know more details about them and absolutely they are very lovely people. Their languages (several languages of nubian people), attire, food, and daily life are very distinct from others. Owner of the hotel, Mr. Hameidhi was such a humble and modest person. No boasting or bragging about themselves, though they deserve well to do so 😀 Mr. Mohammed, who is a relative of Mr. Hameidhi has explained about the nubian culture well. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and had a tasty food. Obviously, it is a great option in Aswan.

it was bright and so peaceful there right by the Nile river staff were very friendly food was good and they even recognized that it was my birthday and surprised me with a whole cake that made my day it’s situated right in the Nubian village where you can just walk out and walk around the village they also helped me arrange some activities to do in the area def a 10/10

it was just a lot of flies which is a given being that you are in a village and everything is outdoors but over all an amazing experience

It was an unforgettable experience during our stay in the Nubian village at Kato Waidi’s Nubian Resort. There was only one hiccup, which was the radio silence five days before our arrival. I was told that they would arrange for pick-up from the airport and reached out twice to confirm, but there was no reply. Thankfully, we were able to find a taxi, but had to pay double the price the resort offered. One might experience A LOT of overcharging in Aswan (except for the food), so be prepared and do your research. It got so bad to the point where I felt like I had to pay to breathe. Almost everything is transactional. Nevertheless, Kato Waidi’s staff take care of their guests. They went out of their way to offer us free early check-in after our flights from MIA —> CAI —> ASW, answered all of our questions and gave travel recommendations. Everything is just as advertised--the room, the views. Breakfast along the Nile was exceptional. I’d definitely stay here again and would recommend this place to anyone looking to immerse themselves in the culture of the Nubas. The city offers a variety of restaurants with some of the best food I’ve ever had in my life, as well as a lot of touristy shops with aggressive hagglers. I was able to purchase some seasoning to take home and can’t wait to put them to use. The location of this resort is about a 15 mins Felucca ride to Elephantine island and the ride was so worth it! I can’t wait to come back for a second tour.

Lovely stay in the heart of the nubian village. We especially loved the food at the restaurant, so delicious!!! The staff are so helpful, organized transport to Abu Simbel & a traditional felucca ride on the nile at sunset.

The most friendly and helpful staff I have seen! Whatever you ask for, they will do teir utmost to fulfill your wishes. Something went wrong with our airport pick-up but the manager really made up for it. Very much appreciated, thank you so much, Ahmed They helped to arrange all our trips which I could very much recommend. A guest is in very good hands here and cared for! The location is wonderful, directly situated at the river Nile. Many places to sit outside in sun or shade. A place to relax and enjoy

We loved our stay at this hotel. Really relaxing, staff friendly and food amazing. In fact this was one of our favourite meals while in Egypt. You can just total up a bill when there and pay at the end. You can also organise trips via the hotel. We paid $40 for airport pick up and a trip to Philae which included a private boat. Would recommend the room we stayed in as we had 2 terraces. Could sit out the front in the main part of the hotel. Or look out over the back of the hotel.

The windows doors didn’t close perfectly which meant there wasn’t a great seal to keep the room a comfortable temperature. It was really hot in the room without air con, but too chilly with the air con constantly on Also not many work surfaces to put your possessions on. But these are my only grumbles and we loved our stay despite this.

My favorite stay in Egypt and one of my favorite stays ever. Perfect location right where the boats come in. Property is beautiful. Such a lovely staff. Excellent food with nice river views. Had an adorable room with a cozy bed and a balcony overlooking the Nile River so I slept like a baby. They offer tours, help with boat bookings, and even have a spa so I didn’t have to go far for a massage. Perfect place to relax and chill, which is all I wanted to do. When I wanted to venture into the village and explore Nubian life, I didn’t have to go more than a few steps outside of the hotel.

This place is a gem. It's located in the heart of the Nubian Village, a short boat, car, or motorcycle ride from Downtown Aswan. The hotel buildings are beautiful, the rooms are spacious, the food and drinks are excellent, and the staff is fantatic. Everybody is absolutely lovely. It's the perfect place to stay with kids. Ahmed Gamal, the concierge, is an exceptional professional. He made our experience smooth from booking to checkout: he arranged our pick up from the train station, boat and car rides, and taylored everything according to our needs. He also arranged our transport from Aswan to Luxor and surprised my son by getting us exactly the type of van he loves to takes there! Ahmed knows his trade, as I overheard other guest saying, and I second that!

There's absolutely nothing we didn't like about Kato Waidi. We loved everything!

The hotel is located in a lovely little Nubian village which has a very authentic feel. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were uniquely decorated and very clean. We were given a traditional Nubian breakfast which was tasty (huge portions). The staff were the nicest and most kind hearted people you will ever meet. Always ready to help with anything we needed including calling a taxi, laundry and their general friendliness. I loved my stay at this hotel. The sunrise views overlooking The Nile are unmatched.
