Basma Hotel is in excellent location for Aswan trip . It is very central for city trip . The facility is huge with Swimming pool and other facilities . The Rooms have excellent view of the Nile and the mountain . The view is simply awesome ! The breakfast was great with Egyptian and international food . Room service was excellent . The room service food was reasonable compared to other hotels . The lobby was nice with some Great Wall art . My room had a balcony with Nile and mountain view which also had view of the pool ! I needed so Doctor , they arranged an excellent Doctor with good bedside manner and experience . I am great full to the hotel staff for taking care of me . Mr Ahmed in front desk , Ms Reham in guest relations provided excellent service . I am also thankful to the concierge , room service and the cleaners they did provide great service . I would definitely recommend Basma Hotel to fellow travellers !

The Hotel needs some renovation and change of furnitures .

Staff at Basma are so welcoming and so helpful. Location is fabulous with just a few minutes walk to the Cataract Hotel, the Nubian Museum and to the Nile. Food was quite good. The restaurant staff as well as the reception staff were almost like family and would do anything to accommodate our requests. View from the roof exceptional. Did I mention the lovely garden at the back where vegetables are grown and occasionally the produce is used to prepare meals? Herbs as well. Affectionately tended to by local gardeners. The only reservation is the noise from some of the guests on the floor, the barking of the dogs and of course other factors which are not of your control.

We really renjoyed spending 3 days in this hotel. We appreciated very much the professionalism and hospitality of all the staff we interacted with especially at the reception and the restaurant. A special thanks for the kindness and high reactivity of Mrs Rehma, the guest relationships manager who excellently facilitated a private trip to go to spend an overnight day at Abu Simbel. The food at the breakfast and the one we ordered for lunch or diner was fresh and excellent. We just missed for our very early morning breakfast the delicious egyptien bread which is freshly delivered every day at around 9 am:)

The rooms were very comfortable with everything you need. Comfortable beds, pillows and a large space to relax. The pool was absolutely terrific. It was so enticing after a day exploring Aswan. We enjoyed a very extensive breakfast with such a wide selection of food in the buffet. Dinner at the restaurant on most nights was delicious. And to top it off The Guests Relations officer was so obliging and so helpful. Any request was welcomed and we got treated with respect and kindness. The location was ideal. So close to everything and especially close to the ferry to Elephantine island and the feluccas. Top notch area. We would definitely choose Basma again.

The property still uses single use bathroom products which I think should be changed. But I noticed many renovations are happening so maybe this will happen in the renovated rooms. The restaurant is a little dated but again it is being renovated so I look forward to the newer style decor. I also thought there would be a gym. Again this maybe planned for the newer hotel.

We were thrilled with our stay at the Basma Hotel, Aswan. From the moment I made the booking, Reham, one of the concierges, went out of her way to take care of our needs, and booked tours and taxis for us at a very fair price. She was flexible, conscientious and kept in close contact via WhatsApp to ensure everything was going smoothly. She was the best concierge I’ve ever come across, and gave a much better service than I’ve experienced in more expensive hotels! The hotel was very comfortable, clean , well located with a large pool and tasty food. The restaurant manager was friendly and accommodating, although the service was a little slow, so order ahead of feeling really hungry! We were able to take breakfast to go as our trip to Abu Simbel was an early start. All the staff were friendly and prompt to turn around laundry and ironing, which was also good value.

The property is lovely and located close to all city activities like boating, camel riding, souvenir shopping, etc. I had a spacious room with a king size bed, that is so hard to find outside of the United States. The room had a large terrace with a beautiful view of the Nile and the city surroundings. The room came fully outfitted with coffee maker, coffee, tea, bottled water, and a number of toiletries in the bathroom. There was also a room safe to secure your valuables. The onsite restaurant had delicious food ranging from American/ European food, to Middle Eastern food, to Egyptian food. The food was fresh and tasty, and the waiters were efficient and friendly in their service. The buffet breakfast had so many options I could not try them all over a week’s stay. The very large pool was a welcomed spot to spend early evening with juices, teas, and cocktails. The hotel also offered excellent tour packages that could be combined for savings with your hotel stay.

I cannot think of anything I did not like about the hotel. I was fully satisfied with all offerings.

Great view of the pool. Great free breakfast. Convenient to downtown, within walking distance. I had an old email address for this hotel. I didn't receive a reply about airport pickup for weeks. In fact, I had started looking for another hotel due to this. My niece found the correct email address, which I used and was immediately was replied to. I give Reham Ezz, the Guest Relation Manager and her staff an A+ rating. The staff upgraded our room and gave us a special price in being picked up from the airport due to my frustration. If I ended up in that area again, this is where I would stay again.

True by all means, it is a resort amidst natural beauty of Aswan. Basma Hotel, despite being our first experience, was an amazing choice and true reward. The place is centrally situated in aswan with proximity to all attractions, city and wonderful activities that tourist and peace seekers would think of. The resort occupies a hill top enabling magestic view of the Nile, the port and great mountains of Aswan. The panorama there is mesmerizing and captures the soul. So romantic, elegant and simple. The resort packs full services within and beyond expectations ( massage, gift shop, business center and wonderful catering). We were lucky to witness a Nubian Wedding ceremony at the luxurious activity area if the resort. Was stylish, amazing and simple- just a true representation of the Aswan culture. Basma Hotel offered guided tours to historic attractions in and around Aswan, leaving you with opportunity to explore and learn more about Egyptology and a 7000 years’ civilization. The unique touch about Basma Hotel is the care and attention they embrace you with even before your arrival. Thanks to dedication and customer centricity of Reham Ezz (guest relations Mgr.) and Hamdi Abdulaziz (deputy GM). I was amazed to the welcoming scene at my room which left me speechless ( a nice welcome message written with flowers on bed). The place was a true destination for comfy stay and a relaxation after busy months of work. The scenic view of the pool from the rooms is a reminder of heavenly delights. Sitting by the pool morning or night time is a definite feel of joy, company and romance. I did find it a reward beyond expectation. And for sure Basma Hotel Aswan will be a number 1 choice for any visit to this magical city.

Our one night stay after a Nile Cruise with many tours was a super comfortable.I loved the location and spaciousness of the hotel with comfortable lounges, restaurant, terrace bar, huge pool with well spaced chaise lounges. We were upgraded to a huge room with Nile view. The staff is incredible and I thank Reham for the extra mile she went in accommodating our late check out. We needed to recuperate after an impacted schedule of all the Egyptian wonders and the Basma checked all the boxes! (Masseuse was EXCELLENT!)

Shower floor needs more traction.

The view from the room is amazing, hotel and facilities were clean, staff is also very professional as they messaged to ask our arrival and ensure we had someone to pick us up and be comfortable. Overall great. The breakfast could be better, there is variety but taste is fine and bread was old / hard. But the kitchen staff is also very kind and asked for feedback. Overall would recommend.

The breakfast is just fine. Nothing great but the manager asked for feedback and we gave it to him which was nice of him to do.
