We stayed in the older (Basma Club?) part of the hotel which is located a short distance from the main larger hotel. Our hotel room was a nice size with a comfortable bed. The bonus for our room was the fact that we had a door which led directly to the outdoor terrace. The view over the city is amazing! There are tables and chairs where you can sit and relax and watch the city below. The location is very quiet. There is a pool with lounge chairs where you can relax and enjoy the serenity of the views! We can't say enough good things about the staff! We arrived early afternoon and wanted to relax on the terrace, so ordered room service. They not only brought our order, but included fruit and cookies! We had breakfast the next morning in the small breakfast room. The chef made us omelets to order and also brought us sausages and a cheese plate! We were going on a Dahabiya Boat tour the next day and found we didn't have a bottle opener. The front desk staff went out of their way to find us an opener, which was a life-saver!! We wish we could have been able to spend more time in Aswan as the Basma Club is in a good location. Special call-out to Merna, Mariam, Hany and Mohammed - you are the best and made our stay at the Basma Club special!

Excellent location with a great staff. Friendly environment, with good food, and reasonable prices. The pool is open 24/7. It was perfect! We enjoyed the pool at the end of the day after we were done exploring different archeological sites.

This property was perfect for my husband and my kids. I have no dislikes. I strongly recommend this hotel.

Wonderful and breathtaking view of the Nile, a nice green territory with a pool, a spacious clean room, good breakfast, buffet or a la carte lunch is also available (for extra price), very friendly stuff at the reception. Not far from the Nubian Museum, Unfinished Obelisk and 15 min walk to the Corniche of Aswan, where you can experience an amazing felucca ride. The hotel kindly arranged for us 2 trips to Abu Simbel and to Luxor with three stops at Kom Ombo, Edfu and Esna temples with the private driver Mario. Mario is a super nice, English speaking, professional, confident and careful driver, he had a new, clean and comfortable car. Mario made our trips perfect, unforgettable and memorable. We had an interesting chat with him about Egypt, history and sights during our trip. We would recommend Mario and Basma Hotel to our friends!

There are 2 mosques nearby, which woke up us early in the morning at dawn (we are light sleepers)), apart from that everything was perfect during our stay.

The Basma Executive and Basma Hotel share almost all facilities. You can book both. The personnel was very friendly and very helpful. The Basma Executive room was a bit older, however very clean and excellent view.

The location is a bit uphill from the city and next to the Nubian museum. This makes no difference for when you want to visit Abou Simbel though. And it is a very short ride per taxi. The announcement to prayer makes a lot of sound, but this is not influenceable by the hotel.

Merna is the one who goes the extra mile to help and assist guests. Even when she is off-duty, she communicates with guests and helps them. I have traveled all over the world and have never seen anyone like her. I wouldn’t say that was right. If I knew she was off, I wouldn't have bothered her. She handled my request without ignoring it and later I realized she was off that time. Thanks again Merna. We also had a friendly and helpful hotel driver. His name is Mario. We enjoyed the city tour with his complete knowledge of history.

The shower cubicle with the curtain was uncomfortable and the water came out and flooded the bathroom.

I will forever be grateful and thankful for how the management and staff of this hotel treated my wife and her mother. My 8 month pregnant wife and her mother fled gun fire on a 25+ hour bus ride from Khartoum to aswan . They were held at the border for several hours . The hotel pushed our dates and checked them in late . They were very hospitable. I recommend this hotel for families, their attention to details for your needs is very professional.

I liked everything about the facilities and staff. There nothing not to like honestly.

Basma sits at the top of the hill and can boast the best views in Aswan. The little pool area is nice and the terrace is lovely for relaxation. The room was spacious and clean, with comfortable beds. Reception was friendly and helpful and staff were super responsive on the booking.com messenger app in helping us access a tour to Abu Simbel. As others mentioned, the Club sits right above the Basma Hotel which you have full access to as well as a guest at the Club. Highly recommended to have breakfast at the Hotel where the spread is great and staff were also very attentive.

The room does not have a balcony. We were quite surprised to realize other guests were walking in front of our room windows (not great from a privacy perspective), and we could access this shared terrace as well, but only when exiting the room and walking through the lobby. While we enjoyed the short walk up and downhill to reach the hotel, when you need a taxi they are hard to find - drivers don't appreciate the pot-holed, dirt road that leads here. Best not to rely on Careem/Uber here, but ask reception to call a driver they know.

We stayed at the Basma Executive Club for 5 days. It is a lovely hotel on the hill with a great view on the City, the Nile and the sandy hills. The drive up to the hotel is not far, our room on the first floor was spacious and the view was breathtaking. We ate several times at the Restaurant both at the Basma Hotel and at the Basma Executive Club. Good and varied food! The personnel at the Reception is exceptionally nice and helpful. My thanks go to Mirna who helped with fluent English when a medical problem occurred. The waiters speak English, are unobtrusive and well trained. We would definitely choose the Basma Executive Club again for another stay.

The location is beautiful, with a gorgeous view on the Nile from the private terrace, where you can cool in the pool by day and enjoy a stroll in the warm evening breeze by night. The breakfast and dinner bar are delicious and the staff is super friendly, especially Hani, who was kind enough to practise Arabic with us (students of the language)
