The location of the Philae Hotel was fantastic. It is near to restaurants, money exchange companies, the Aswan Souk market, glosery stores, the boulevard and transportations. My room was comfortable, I had a fridge, kettle, TV, air conditioning, etc. I had the opportunity to eat beadfast one time and really enjoyed the food. I loved the omelet with chocolate, bananas, coffee, egges, and fresh falafel. I always had the breakfast box avaible when I was needed to leave the hotel very early to attend some tours. Mohamed was very friendly and supported me by contacting transportation, restaurants, and also by recoveri three items that I left behind in one Luxor hotel. Thank you so much for all the support that you provided to me that made a big different in my stay in Aswan.

Great Location, I had a balcony with view of the Nile and in the afternoon especially the felucas is a sight to watch! The room was ok, really clean, I could not say it was so old . The bteakfast box they prepare for abu simbel is a nice touch Friendly and helpful stuff. The hotel is in front of a busy street, nut had no issue to sleep and a was in the second floor Great price

The main issue is the internet, no wifi inside the rooms. I think they need to consider fixing thus issue because is there number one complaint. Internet only in the lobby. The non existence of elevator could be an issue for older people.

Amazing Views of the Nile (caught an epic sunset) place was well appointed (kettle fridge etc) comfy bed, walking distance to many eateries or the ferries over to Elaphanteen Island. We were on a lot of tours and they gladly packed up a breakfast box for us, it was greatly appreciated.

No lift / Elevator- we were on the fourth floor, not the end of the world - but be aware if you are not stair friendly.

Everyone was very friendly and they even offered to prepare snack bags for us since we were leaving at 04:00. We had booked a cruise to Aswan. The people were accustomed to the process and as soon as the transfer arrived they called to let us know. We even left our luggage to them so the personal from the cruise can pick them up.

Our room was located on the back area of the building. Watching the road behind the hotel. The road was busy even late in the night and there were noise. The problem was that there is a fan in the toilet leading to an open hole on the wall to refresh the air. From there, the sounds of the street were coming inside the room even with the sliding door closed.

The staff was extremely helpful, polite, and kind. They provided us with an unexpected room upgrade, which was a pleasant surprise. The manager who handled our check-in was very considerate; knowing we had an early morning check-out, he prepared a breakfast basket for us, which was greatly appreciated. We stored our luggage at the reception area after check-out. Initially, we were a bit concerned as the hotel doesn’t have a dedicated luggage storage room, and bags are left to the side of the reception desk. However, everything went smoothly, and our luggage was safe. When we retrieved our bags, the receptionist, a very kind and polite lady, made us feel welcome. She allowed us to stay in the lobby for as long as we needed, even after we had checked out. We were also able to use the restroom on the upper floor, which added to our comfort while waiting for our next journey. The rooms were very clean, and the furniture had a charming antique style that brought back fond memories. I found the furniture both beautiful and unique, adding a warm and nostalgic touch to the room.

we got something like an apartment , with hall and large sofa, kitchen area, some welcome cookies and snacks, 2 rooms very spacious and both have balkony overlooking the nile river with fellucas and cruise ships . we are able to view the breathtaking sunset from our own balkony . It was a unforgettable adventure for us. we reached the hotel at 11 am and the staff are very welcoming and able to check-in since room is available. the room was clean. Room404

Location and service. Manager incharge Ma Sandi’s Angad was excellent and very supportive in making all arrangements even days in advance before we arrived. Breakfast was also delicious served well on the table. We left early at 6.30, our breakfast boxes were ready with hot tea and coffee, good care.

Absence of lift in hotel and WiFi in room

Given the location, the rooms on the front of the hotel are noisy - but, they have beautiful views over the Nile. We had a triple room which was huge. It consisted of a living room/kitchen (large refrigerator, stove etc), one bedroom with a queen sized bed (and attached bathroom with shower), and a second bedroom with two single beds and attached bathroom with shower.

The noise from the street was a lot to try to sleep through, but I had ear plugs. There is no elevator, so be prepared to walk up a lot of stairs (they will help with luggage). Wifi only in the lobby.

Staff at the hotel was very serviceminded. They were very professional in their approach. Also they were extra serviceminded preparing breakfast boxes when leaving early. They also offer additional packages like all other hotels here in Egypt but I experienced that they were not pushy and they continued to be just as serviceminded after a no, where I experienced in other hotels that they became a bit disinterested if they could not sell more. I ended up buying a tour on my own request at the hotel for Abu Simbel later and it functioned well Room was nice like a European hotel room with a view on the Nile

The hotel location is excellent, across the street from the Nile River, near boat launches and restaurants. Staff were excellent and very helpful, going out of their way. Breakfast was very good, with set food coming to your table that included a boiled egg, muffin, fruit salad, yogurt, honey, jam, butter, fresh hot falafel and fresh hot sweet crepes, coffee and tea. They will pack you a breakfast box if needed.
