Like: the amazing view on the mountain with the Nil, Nil view all around the hotel, better than the old cataract hotel ! Quiet and relaxing, good facilities (swimming pool, massage etc). Dislike: frequency of the boat to access the hotel, sometimes more than 30 mins (waiting time + sailing time) - Terrible breakfast (instant coffee only, no fresh fruit, stay away from the sausages etc) Room: functional and clean

All rooms have balcony and water view. The boat to mainland is frequent and reliable. Wifi is good. The quiet ambiance is appreciated there. I recommend the hotel.

Don’t eat lunch or dinner at the hotel. Next to the hotel pickup point at the mainland “Pyramisa Isis Island Pickup Point” an excellent restaurant “Makani Restaurant” down stairs. Healthy, fresh and much cheaper than the hotel. They use fresh daily local meat and chicken, not frozen or imported.

Loud and unruly children of other guests running up and down the corridor and banging doors of their room. Totally understand it is not the hotels fault but it was very annoying when you are just wanting to relax. We did mention it to the reception staff. The hotel should be able to share with guests that children need to be supervised when in public places especially near the rooms. Our rooms were close to the lobby and reception area.

The location is fantastic and very prime. The staff is friendly and helpful. The boat from/to the mainland functions very well. A variety of options for breakfast and dinner. The beds in the room are comfortable. The wifi is in and out - good on some days and not so good on others.

The rooms are comfortable but some parts are really due for renovation. The sliding doors to the balcony, for example, are very old and dusty. The room door locks are old and do not work properly. The breakfast caters to the masses but I would expect better coffee facilities for a 5 star hotel than just Nescafé instant coffee. Even if you book halfboard then soft drinks are not included during dinner, which is quite strange. The gym is very old and the equipments needs replacing. It also appears to be never cleaned and is quite filthy with a lot of dust.

Modern spacious room with beautiful views of the Nile. Pleasurable boat ride to and from the hotel.(Free,less than 10 mins,runs 24 hours a day every 20mins. Boarded next to Makani restaurant . Easy to get on and off for staying at the island and for doing tours) Excellent value.

The hotel in general is good, I spent a nice time there. Positive comments : 1- The resort is nice and the room view is beautiful looking to the Nile. 2- I want to thank Mr.Essam HK , he is doing a very good job , very much appreciated his efforts. 3- The room was clean although it has some maintenance issues 4- the setting area of the pergola is amazing with very beautiful view to the Nile however i suggest to extend house music there and some optional extra charge drinks to be provided upon guest request. Negative comments : The hotel is very very quite , no activities at all , nothing to do after 17:00 hours. Reception : For me it's very disappointed to write a negative review on reception but I believe that reception is the heart of any hotel. * One the Arrival, no one from bell captain is available, you have to carry your bag to reception by yourself. * No welcome drink has been provided. * No information has given upon check in unless you will ask by yourself , however they made fast check in. * No guest contact at all during my 4 Nights stay , there is no courtesy calls. * Reception team called me in my last night asking for a copy from my ID. * No one from bell captain is available during my check out , you have to carry your bag from the room to the reception by yourself. Restaurant & kitchen : The restaurant is nice & clean and the food variety is good in the breakfast however the taste of some items is not good. The restaurant staff are nice too however the restaurant manager is always looking at his watch when the guest moving to the buffet and his face expression is we want to close however the time not exceeded 10:00 AM. Recreation : I went only one time to the swimming pool and guy there has ignored me while he offered towels for a nother couple , I don't know the reason but I left directly. In general I liked my stay there but my points for improving not for complaining Thank you

Very helpful staff and welcoming. Very quick check-in. It was a nice surprise to be upgraded into a room with a beautiful view, thank you so much. The hotel itself is situated on a private island, beautiful sceneries everywhere. The private boat was always available to take us to mainland. The rooms are recently renovated, very comfy and clean but would be nice to add table lamps. The bathroom is very nice. With great shower pressure and super hot water, however there were occasional clogging of the shower.

The doors of the rooms need to change to sound proof one, they said this will be adjusted with the new wave of renovations. Breakfast could improve.

The hotel is very nice and the staff is very friendly and helpful also a very clean place no complains about that and the breakfast it is really good and the locations of it make it unique because it gives you a really beautiful view of the Nile river

the hotel itself is beautiful but for the price I paid I expected a nicer room, the rooms are not bad but they look old and plain there are not many amenities in it the hotel is a 5 starts but the rooms feels more like a 3 star room also the location is an issue because is located in a island so you have to take a boat to go to the city which sometimes it took up to 30 minutes wait for the boat to take off so it took almost 1 hour to go to the city and go back to the hotel.

Awesome location. Beautiful grounds. The hotel has been renovated since our stay last year and it was a nice surprise for us. However, they used cheap materials for renovation and I'm afraid the hotel will soon fall into disrepair again. The standard of newly refurbished rooms is closer to a 3 rather than a 5 star hotel. The place has huge potential, but some of it is lost due to bad management. We highly appreciated an early check-in around 10 a.m.

Uneven level of service. Some of the waiting staff were exceptional, some lacked basic competence and didn't understand English. One day we had great lunch, the next day all the dishes ordered were mixed up. Breakfast quality could be improved. Excessive use of plastic in the hotel. No proper glasses for breakfast, only cheap plastic cups. It's below most 2* options.

The location is both a positive and a negative. The hotel is the only building on a small island in the Nile. This can be appealing. The grounds are quiet and peaceful especially early morning with many places to sit by the river. But it’s on an island so add 20-30 minutes each way to any journey! Staff friendly and helpful. Less so some of the people in the shops.

See above: being on an island can also be a drawback. For longer trips with a few days when you don’t leave the island is probably better than short stay leaving island each day. Gym looks well equipped. But the only two cardio machines are broken. I go to breakfast early so the 6 am start is good. But not all the food is put out by 6 am
