Homemade breakfast was nice. One of the rooms was upgraded to a bigger one with AC. The villa owner recommended a nice local restaurant.

The house owner seemed to be friendly. He tried to arrange transportation to the city with $5 per one-way, but the car condition was really bad. The first 8 seater bus had no AC, then on return, one of the 2 cars was really scary as nothing was working in the car. My parents were so worried that the car would stop in the middle of the street. The worst part was when we were done with the boat tour, which he arranged. He told us the restaurant would take us back to the port, but we were sent by the public boat that we had to pay(which was different from what he said earlier). I realized that It was not a good idea to ask him to arrange the tour from the experience.

The staff were friendly and helpful and helped to direct the taxi to the location (Google doesn't pick up). The location is beautiful, on the river with view of the island temple. Drinks were available in the shared kitchen area. The shower was large and had good pressure. The room was spacious (even with 2 beds). The patio area was beautiful to sit out and look over the river, very relaxing. Comfy seating was available. The owner helped us to book a taxi when ours had let us down.

The room had no aircon but had fans. It was very hot during our visit so aircon would have been nice. We ordered food when we arrived (we had not eaten all day). We were told the food would take an hour but it was longer. It was nice food when it arrived and wouldn't have been so bad if we weren't so hungry. The rooftop terrace was closed for renovations which was a shame as this was the main reason we had booked.

Our stay at Villa Misk was absolutely wonderful! Despite our late arrival at midnight, the owner and his son warmly welcomed us and ensured we had everything we needed. They were incredibly helpful, even assisting us in booking a transfer from Aswan Airport to the villa, which made our journey seamless. The villa itself is stunning—peaceful, beautifully designed, and offering breathtaking views that feel like something out of a fairytale. It was the perfect place to relax and take in the beauty of the surroundings. We highly recommend Villa Misk to anyone visiting the area. A truly unforgettable stay with such kind and hospitable hosts!

I liked that they provided a taxi service between the airport and the town, also the owner was very helpful on some of our needs, as an example he helped us to buy a sim card.

breakfast included is served until 9am, if you want it earlier it is not available. The owner looks a little bit rude but maybe it is something about Egypt culture.

I loved our short stay of two days there. Mr. Ahmed arranged my pick up from Luxor and also our visit to Edfu and Kom Ombo temple. He arranged a nice Guide too. She was a nice knowledgeable lady also. He also arranged a boat for our visit to Philae Light and sound show. The internet connection was really good in the house, and I didn't mind paying a dollar for that (because our Internet connection was horrible in Cairo and Luxor stays). Location wise Villa Misk is right beside Nile. People were cordial and helpful there. And I honestly enjoyed our chat with Mr. Ahmed.

There is a power cut in that area of Aswan every night for 1-2 hrs. The hotel is definitely not responsible for that. But summer could be bad during power cuts.

The location next to the Aswan Low Damn and to boats to Philae is perfect. Friendly owner that was always willing to help. Food prices were a bit high but their food quality was very good. Very nice views over the Nile and you can see Philae temple from the property.

Not a lot of services in the village where the villa is located. So it could be inconvenient depending on your needs. The village is all dirt roads so you do get a bit dirty walking around.

I already reviewed this accommodation yesterday. We had two seperate bookings, therefore two seperate reviews. I realized after I sent the review, that I didn't highlight the WiFi. This is important these days of hand held devices. Everywhere we have stayed, including even now, which is a 5 Start Nile cruise, they promote their Wifi. Villa Misk, was the first wifi in the country that we chose to use. Everyone elses Wifi, worked like Camel. I'm not saying that the Wifi is blazingly fast, at Villa Misk, but it is more than adequate for today's needs, and by far the fastest since we have arrived. So, that being said my suggestion for anyone expecting to use data services, please pick up a Good Sim Card at the airport. It is fast and easy, and cheap. ,$20 for 30 GB, good for 28 days. I Chose Vodophone, by baggage carousel 4. Or if you choose not to get a good Sim Card, you had better make sure you stay at Villa Misk, if you want to use Data!

If you want to have breakfast or dinner here, bring a lot of time.

We came here from a few days in Cairo, a couple of days in Luxor and a Nile boat trip with lots of early mornings and wanted somewhere to crash before our early flights the following morning. Villa Misk was the perfect tonic. A quiet veranda with a perfect view over the Nile and the Temple Philae. I let the owners know our lunch and dinner requirements in the morning then spent the whole day catching up on sleep and reading overlooking the Nile. The owner is a fantastic bloke, knowledgable about Egypt and I would have liked to have asked him to give us a locals tour of Aswan but we didn't have the time. He arranged our early morning taxi to the airport for us (10 minutes door to door).

Honestly, this place met all the requirments we had.

The family that runs this guesthouse is delightful and so helpful. They kindly arranged a tour to Abu Simbel and a very early morning taxi to the airport. we had one issue upon arrival which the staff helped with immediately. We also let Ahmed know about the issue when we saw him. He was very appreciative to be informed and made sure the rest of the stay was as comfortable as possible. We also were upgraded to a larger room upon check-in which was great. Yet our favorite thing about this guesthouse was talking with the other guests and Ahmed. There are shared terrace and dining spaces which are small enough that you get to meet other travelers and share stories. The atmosphere at Villa Misk makes that possible. Thank you!

That the guesthouse is located a ways out of town we actually found to be a good thing. We experienced an authentic Aswan neighborhood and the boat ride to Philae Temple was steps out our door.
