I have stayed in many renowned hotels, but this time, I wanted to have a unique experience — a journey back in time in a hotel inspired by Om Kalthoum. And I must say, this was truly an unforgettable stay! Moataz and Saad were absolutely amazing! Their kindness, friendliness, and the way they treated me made me feel not only welcome but truly at home. At the same time, their attentiveness and dedication to ensuring my comfort made me feel like a valued guest in a hotel. This is something that many other hotels could learn from. The rooms were incredibly spacious and cozy. Normally, I have trouble sleeping in new environments, but here, I felt at ease right away. Words cannot describe how comfortable and well cared for I felt during my stay. The reception staff was also exceptionally kind and went above and beyond by granting me a huge upgrade. I was given a room with a breathtaking view of the Nile — an experience like no other! It felt as if the river was flowing right beneath my feet. I can wholeheartedly recommend staying here, and if possible, booking a room with a Nile view. It will make your stay even more magical :)

I had a truly wonderful experience at the Om Kolthoom Hotel in Cairo. My room was on the 15th floor and offered an absolutely perfect view of the Nile — it was breathtaking to wake up to every morning! The room itself was spotless and very comfortable. The hotel staff were incredibly kind and supportive throughout my stay. Their friendliness made me feel right at home. I also really enjoyed the breakfast — it was varied, flavorful, and gave me a great start to each day. The hotel’s central location made it easy to explore Cairo, with many attractions and amenities close by. I highly recommend Om Kolthoom Hotel to anyone visiting the city. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I had a wonderful stay at Om Kalthoom Hotel. Before booking, I did extensive research and was initially hesitant due to some negative reviews. To be cautious, I only booked half of my stay at first—but after such a pleasant experience, we decided to extend it. The hotel’s location is perfect for tourists. It’s in a prestigious area, yet very close to downtown, making it easy to visit key attractions. Despite being a vibrant area, traffic was never an issue, and we always got an Uber within 2 to 5 minutes. The Om Kalthoom theme adds a unique and interesting touch to the hotel’s atmosphere. The staff were mostly very welcoming, especially Mutaz and his shift colleagues at the front desk, who were always helpful. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a good variety every day. The service was impressive, and Nadia, one of the waitresses, stood out—she was like a butterfly, moving swiftly between tables to ensure everyone was well taken care of. The management seems to run the hotel efficiently, as the staff were well-coordinated and professional. Another plus is their prompt responses to online booking inquiries. If you have any questions before booking, I highly recommend reaching out to them directly.

The only minor downside was that some rooms could use renovation, but it looks like they are actively working on this. The rooms on the higher floors have already been updated, so I’d recommend requesting one of those.

everything was just on point i felt the warmth of cairo city while being there, It was a wonderful 4 stars hotel, everyone was so friendly from the reception, the security, the restaurant and the room service, and i think i will come back again to this vintage hotel, i was able to see the sunset from my room view as well that was a great surprise and i enjoyed it so much.. i made sure to return to the hotel most of the days to witness that beauty, the last thing i want to say that i liked the hotel’s lobby scent please tell me what it was 😅

My second stay at Om Kolthoom, and even better than the first. All the staff are lovely and so helpful with everything. There's also an amazing rooftop pool area now open in the summer plus a fully equipped gym and a Finnish and Turkish sauna. This with the location right in Zamalek (5 - 10 min walk away from a whole host of great restaurants and 10 min drive from downtown if you're travelling for business) makes Om Kolthoom probably the best value you can find anywhere in the area. I'll be back again!

Nothing, I really enjoyed my stay!

We enjoyed our stay at Om Kohltoom. The two restaurants located immediately outside the hotel were delicious and open late which was very convenient for us. They also were able to connect us with a driver when we needed it. There are convenient corner store type markets for buying water and snacks etc. They have very nice and welcoming staff (thanks, Omar for your big help at the end of our stay!) and we really enjoyed our room with a balcony!!

This is just my preference, but I'm not found of hotels with carpet. I would probably stay again because it was affordable and convenient but just fyi. I wasn't paying attention when I booked but I imagine many of the hotels have carpet because they are older...

The view from the 16th floor was Amazing , The staff was really friendly and the receptionist was helpful and took care of everything

The location, facilities, staff and their hospitality is amazing. Hotel is old but renovated nicely. Zamalek is such a nice, clean and upscale neighborhood and the hotel was so close to the markets, cafes, restaurants and main attractions. We checked-in around 20pm and they gave us a free room upgrade! Rooms where well equipped, we had a comfortable stay. the staff actively did their best to make our stay perfect, I really appreciated their efforts to find solutions to our problems and attentiveness to our needs. For example, the AC was not heating and we were a bit cold, they immediately provided an extra heater for our room. Or when we asked about some tips for daily tours to the front desk, they recommended a Giza tour which we enjoyed very much. Felt truly welcomed.

Walls are a bit thin and has no sound-proof so you can hear the noises (especially the bathroom noises) from other rooms.
