The hotel is more than excellent it looks like you stay with your family in uper egypt. Mr. SAYID is so helpful and generous . Mr . MUSTAFA unique person ,super respectful and wonderful friend. Mr.Ibrahim is so friendly and helpful...all the staff amazing... the food, fresh, healthy, and delicious . The sunshine and sunset were so nice from my room , the view gave me all the energy with green fields. The hotel makes my trip so special... I RECOMMEND 👍👍👍

I didn't like to leave the hotel and leave the friendly stuff 😕

Out of our six nights in Luxor, we spent two nights here. Sadly, this hotel cannot compete with Iberotel's substantial discount at that time in terms of value. Nonetheless, still highly recommended! The main draws for staying here are (1) the landmarks' close proximity—four of them are only a short stroll away(if you like walking like us). When we stepped outside at 5:30 a.m., we saw the balloons being inflated between the fields across the street. We then strolled to the Monuments of Memnon and discovered ourselves alone admiring the statue with the balloons—it was breathtaking. Walking on the West Bank is more pleasurable and hustle-free, in our experience. (2) The owner of this locally owned business is a fantastic host. When you need help, he's there. The nicest aspect is that you don't waste time haggling—the quoted price for the taxi is almost the same as what we were able to negotiate while we were staying on the east bank. We’ve been the other hotels and their tour price are inflated. We had trouble arranging the train to Aswan online on our final night. He tried hard to helped us obtain a ticket but was unsuccessful. He then advised us to simply arrive early enough so that we can perhaps find a seat. The following day, a packed breakfast was provided and surprised us by driving us to the boat dock himself. You can walk between Luxor temple and Karnak temple via avenue of the sphinx and there’s ticket counter and check on the way closer to Karnak.

Breakfast and dinner at the hotel are basic but filling enough. That we only stayed for 2 nights.

Gem of a hotel. Great location for the Valley of the King's. Very quiet so not great if you want nightlife and a choice of restaurants but we enjoyed having a rest and ate in the hotel every night. This was unusual for us but you have to be up so early to get to the attractions before the crowds and the heat, that some enforced rest was really appreciated. The food in the hotel was exceptional, particularly the fish tagine. The hotel owner was incredibly helpful and arranged drivers and a guide to take us to the various attractions. Again, we usually do all of this ourselves and I was a bit resistant at first but it was far easier to have a private tour. All trips were reasonably priced and the drivers and guides were excellent. The owner helped us to have a fantastic holiday.

Our stay at this hotel in Luxor was nothing short of exceptional. The owner Sayed, was absolutely wonderful, so accommodating, helpful, and incredibly patient as we figured out our plans. He went above and beyond to help us organise our days, even arranging a driver for our entire stay, which made getting from one amazing site to the next seamless and stress-free. The location of the hotel is stunning tucked away in a peaceful area that felt like a true escape. The pool area was a dream; the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. Every single staff member we interacted with was kind, polite, and eager to help. The attention to detail was on another level. The host truly set the bar high for hospitality, and we’ve never experienced such thoughtful care during our travels. What an experience, absolutely unforgettable.

Our recent stay at New Memnon Hotel was absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the hotel's cleanliness and charming atmosphere. The rooms were spotless, cozy, and well-maintained, making our stay incredibly comfortable. One of the highlights was the beautiful garden, where adorable rabbits hopped around freely, it was so peaceful. The hotel also has a great restaurant where the breakfast takes place but we've also took dinner there and it was very good. What truly set this hotel apart, however, was the owner. He was one of the most honest and kind-hearted person we've met in Egypt, genuinely valuing human connections and going above and beyond for his guests. He took care of every little detail, ensuring that everyone felt welcome and well taken care of. His warmth and dedication made the experience unforgettable. We had a wonderful stay at the New Memnon Hotel in Luxor. The location is perfect just a short distance from the Valley of the Kings and other major sites on the West Bank. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay But what truly made the experience unforgettable was Mr. Sayed, the owner. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel like family. He’s one of those rare people who genuinely cares not just about running a good hotel, but about making sure every guest feels at home. Whether it was helping, or just checking in to make sure everything was okay, he was always there. If you're visiting Luxor and want a peaceful authentic place to stay I highly recommend the New Memnon Hotel I’ll definitely return

Mr Sayed was an AMAZING host! The best! 🍀 We had incorrect flights, we had other tours schedule (no time to complete) and Mr Sayed helped us solve everything! And by everything, I mean EVERYTHING! Even our airport transfer at 4am as our shuttle was a no show, he kindly took us to the airport (no hesitation) even with a breakfast box, incredible! There are no words to describe the unconditional helped received and how the staff made our stay come to peace as we were so stressed. Even got us delicious Birell (non-alcoholic beer) while relaxing in the pool with the view of the beautiful garden and the birds chirping. Please check the rrof top, day or night for a breathtaking view.... Egypt stole our hearts ❤️

Wish I could have stayed longer

We loved staying at the New Memnon Hotel! The owner, Said, was unbelievably helpful and arranged cars and drivers for us to visit the Valley of the Kings, Karnak and Luxor temples, a spice market in Luxor and a day trip to Dendera Temple of Hathor. The staff in the hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast was terrific with fruits, breads, felafels, juices, coffee and an omelette if you wished. The restaurant for the evening meal was also excellent with breads and dips followed by shish kebab or one of their chicken, fish or beef tagines. It was lovely in the evenings watching the hoodoos on the lawn while we were eating. There is a decent sized swimming pool as well and, although we didn’t use it it looked very very clean! Honestly, we loved staying here!

We could find nothing to complain about at all.

The New Memnon hotel was a home from home, we had exceptional service, beautiful food and wonderful surroundings. We had a lovely room which overlooked the gardens where the balloons flew over head every morning. During our stay we had everything we needed, tours arranged, cars and tuk tuks to wherever we needed to go. I am a vegetarian and up until Luxor it had been quite difficult to get any variety to eat. Sayed arranged for me to have different meals every night which made a huge difference and in the end we stayed to eat at the hotel every evening because the food was great. A four course meal which was a very reasonable price. We were both made to feel incredibly special, safe and relaxed. A beautiful balance between attention and space to relax and enjoy the surroundings. There are so many birds, egrets, hoopoe’s and herons that are regular visitors and from the roof terrace you can watch the sun set over the tombs. Sayed has built an incredible team at the hotel and everyone there is welcoming and helpful. I’d highly recommend the early morning tour to the Valley of the Kings. Getting up early we were the only people in the Valley and in the tomb of SETI I and it’s an experience I will never forget. Egypt can be incredibly busy, but this was a moment to experience something special by yourself. As well as the tours, we were able to do things independently we would just explain to Sayed what we wanted to do and he would help make it happen for us. This included walking to Deir el Medina a spectacular tomb valley of the artisans who decorated the pharaoh’s tombs and catching the public ferry to the West Bank early in the morning to miss the crowds at Karnak. We were also able to do longer trips like Dendarra, with our own driver, packed up breakfast and as long as we wanted to wherever we went. Everything about our stay was incredible, I’d definitely go back and I was very sad to leave New Memnon and Luxor behind. Thank you for the most beautiful stay.

Nothing.

The hospitality, friendliness and helpfulness of the entire staff were and are unique. We really enjoyed it and all our wishes were fulfilled. The owner was always very accommodating, gave really good tips and advice and, if desired (and not at all intrusive), also organized accordingly (morning trip to the Valley of the Kings, boat tour, ....). We always enjoyed the breakfast and the evening meal. There are also small "supermarkets" around the corner. Drinks or small delicacies are also served by the pool on request. The rooms were cleaned daily. The air conditioning worked very well and the small fridge also did its job reliably. The peace and quiet that the entire beautiful complex exudes was something very special, especially as it is very busy on the other side of the Nile.
