Facility is good. Few shops inside which was good as the sellers are not pushy and they just let you in their stores and look around and buy when you like. Food is also good. But as with other high end resorts in Egypt the workers tend to entertain/care more for caucasians which is sad as we (asians) pay the same price as them but they dont really tend much to our needs.

The view from the rooms in the main building to the Nile river is impressive, the restaurant and the terrace have the same view.

It is not exactly in the center of. The city, so you need to take a cab 10 min to the center (Luxor temple&museum), every time you have to call a cab (we used Indrive), it is very cheap: 1$ USD, but the taxi drivers outside of the hotel are not happy with us ordering Indrive, so share your taxi number to the reception to let him in to the hotel’s territory.

The Nile view from the balcony is the most wonderful experience, beautiful sights plus the special comfort in the room takes it to another level. I certainly did the best choice selecting this hotel to enjoy all the beauty from Luxor.

At the beginning my room didn’t exactly met my expectations but thank you to Mustafa Elganzory who was so so very kind and helpful; he listened to anything I need and he was the one of the main reasons to change my mind for this trip …if I will come back again next time it will be because of him…thanks to him I could get the best stay in Luxor; absolutely everything was in place and ready to enjoy at best my stay

I liked how Ahmed the Receptionist was kind and fast, to my request even though I arrived a bit earlier he manage to have a room available for me. And made all my stay very informed and comfortable. The place is actually really nice and the restaurant was what I was expecting and even more because food was really good. They also have tourist packages available, I already had mine ready before arriving but is good to have that option available. It was clean and not noisy.

We loved everything about our stay at the Steigenberger Achti. The staff were all super friendly and helpful, from the lovely Magda on reception, to the restaurant and bar staff, pool staff and our room attendant Osama, whose wide-ranging repertoire of towel sculptures was adorable 😊 We booked all our excursions in and around Luxor through Nasco Tours, who have their own desk near reception. They were superb and we were fortunate to have a top notch tour guide, Nana, for all of our trips. Her depth of knowledge of Egyptology was astounding and she made everything interesting, fun and safe. Absolutely sensational. We booked half board at the hotel and I'd been a little worried by a few reviews here saying there wasn't much selection at the buffet (which is the only choice for half board as the pizzeria and middle eastern restaurants are not included). I don't understand these reviews at all. There was an incredible amount of choice, for all tastes, at breakfast and dinner. A special shout out to whoever the pastry chef is. Incredible range of desserts of exquisite quality. The location of the hotel on the Nile front was perfect and watching the sunsets at dinner with the feluccas sailing by and a live band playing Egyptian music on the lawn in front ... how can you not like this? Excellent value for money and a memorable experience all round.

The aircon in the room was a little noisy. We had to get assistance to get a decent download speed on the wifi (we were getting less than 2MB/s but they were very understanding and helped us to get 80MB/s on one device). As others have noted, whilst free bottled water in our room was plentiful, it felt a bit mean having to pay for just a glass of water with dinner when you're paying half board. But I guess you can always take a bottle down with you from your room!

We absolutely loved our stay at Steigenberger Resort Achti. The hotel is beautiful, well-maintained, and located in a perfect spot right along the Nile. Our room was spacious, clean, and incredibly comfortable. A special shoutout to our housekeeper, Mamdouh, who went above and beyond every day with his creative towel art. After long days of sightseeing and enduring the heat, coming back to those little surprises brought us so much joy and laughter. It’s the kind of thoughtful detail that makes a stay truly memorable. The serene ambiance of the resort was enhanced by live traditional Egyptian music by the Nile—such a peaceful way to end the evening. The entire staff was friendly and attentive, always making sure we had what we needed. As we checked out, we were even given little gift bags with breakfast inside—a thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture. If I had to offer one piece of feedback, it would be that the staff check-ins were a bit too frequent, though clearly well-intentioned and rooted in genuine care for guests’ comfort. Overall, this is a GREAT hotel—peaceful, comfortable, and full of character. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Luxor!

The pool area overlooking the Nile is so peaceful. All the staff were very helpful and polite. Everyone gave us a service with a smile, in particular the pool staff and Ashraf at the restaurant who provided me delicious gluten free bread.

It is not walking distance to Luxor museum, nonetheless there are a lot of taxis and carriages ready to drive you there with reasonable fees. The buffet dinner had a limited choice in dishes on offer.

It´s one of the best hotels I ever stayed at. The rooms are perfectly designed, luxuriously furnished, with nice balcony from which you can enjoy views of the two swimming pools and lovely park. Beds are great, light in the bathroom perfect.. Another side of the hotel is even better; another swimming pool with drink service and lovely view over sailing boats and river Nil, which is very clean here in the city of Luxor. This hotels gives you great, double security entrance. But all staffs are exceptionally polite , waiters, cleaning ladies , receptionists... and give you always smile. The breakfast is something you have to taste by yourself, otherwise it would be take too much time to describe it. With so many facilities this hotel was great experience for me. It's really pity that Luxor is so far away from my country, otherwise I would come here every few month. And for these money?? it's really great value!! I don't want sound like publicity from tourist agency, but with Karnak temple and Walley of the kings, it's one of the greatest place I ever seen... In the city is a good restaurant names Jewel of the Nile, quiet place of European style and music.

The property was very clean, the staff competent and they offered multiple services for the customers, like tv, wifi, swimming pool facing the Nile river. The view of the room was stunning and the facility very comfortable.

I really liked everything, nothing I disliked.
