We had a pleasant stay here. The room was comfortable and well-maintained. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made our experience even better. We especially enjoyed the breakfast—it was delicious and a great way to start the day. A special thanks to Mr. Tayyib, who was incredibly helpful during our time in Luxor. He assisted us in organizing our local tours and arranged transportation at a very reasonable rate. He’s a straightforward and trustworthy gentleman, and we really appreciated his support. While the place isn’t luxurious, it’s definitely priceworthy. It’s a great choice for families and young travelers looking for a budget-friendly stay with a calm, peaceful atmosphere.

We are so happy for choosing gold ibis for our one-week stay at Luxor. From the first moment we enter the hotel, we felt at home. All the staff is more than nice, friendly, familiar and you can feel a really nice atmosphere there. A super big thanks to all of you, Mahmoud and his brother are the best person ever. They spend a lot of time taking care of us, especially with our little son, they always had a big smile to him, and we really appreciate this. We also had dinner there, and the food was amazing. The room was super big, and even Mahmoud asked us to change for a bigger one without charges. They helped us with the laundry and more things. Room with a lot of space, huge balcony, comfy bed, fan and AC very useful. Nice bathroom. Very quiet location, close to the public ferry and local water taxies. Plenty of restaurants around. Swimming pool available. Terrace upstairs with nice view on the Nile River and East Bank. Very competent, professional and helpful staff, ready to help 24/7. Felt very safe.

Wonderful owner and staff bending over backward to make sure one has a memorable stay. The owner helped me with getting a SIM card and booking tours. The room is huge with a queen size bed. You can see wonderful sunsets up on the rooftop dining area. I had two delicious dinners staying three nights. The portions were huge! Was served traditional Egyptian food for breakfasts. Enjoyed sitting outside by the bon fire at night (bring marshmallows). January is a good time to visit. Not hot! Also it is in a quiet location away from traffic noise.

The staff was communicative, helpful and open to negotiate. The room was clean and spacious, close to the ferry. Value for the money.

Nothing bad particularly about the hotel except for the fact that they use the name of international Ibis Hotel. They don’t have any connections with Ibis international. The neighbourhood is insecure, dirty and too much hassle by taxi drivers, shopkeepers and kids. The city itself is troublesome in this sense. people are not decent or respectful.

The host and his family are wonderful. Helpful, friendly, everything you could ask for. El Gezira is a wonderful old style Nile village - safe to walk around in at night. The West Bank is much quieter (except for the roosters) than the upmarket East Bank. It is an authentic experience, not just another superficial hydrogenized plastic tourist stopover.

There were little things here and there, but the help and friendliness of the host and his family made them insignificant.

Location is near the ferry for East Side of Luxor, an easy to get to Kings Valley, Queens Valley. Breakfast was excellent, the hotel very clean, the rooms looks better than in pictures, the terrace is wonderful to relax, take dinner, you can see the Nile from it. The hotel has a pool, that is clean and intimate. The beds are comfortable, the location is quiet and perfect to rest. If wanted, they can arrange a dinner with a chef just for you, fresh food and at a good price. Also he can a arrange for hot air ballooning at a good price and the experience will be great, don't miss it! Altayeb the administrator of the place is very dedicated, gives all the informations that are needed, the prices that should be payed for some services and also necessary advises. He is a very nice guy and deserves all the appreciation for the hard work he does, for the guest to feel good at the hotel and have a good experience outside the also. We are lucky to have meet him and stayed at Gold Ibis Hotel.

The location of the hotel is the best thing! we loved being on the west bank of Luxor,far from the crowds of the city. The hotel itself is very nice and clean, and it has amazing views from the roof top! We arrived very early in the morning and they offered to prepare breakfast for us, which was a very nice detail. We could also make the laundry and they didn’t want to charge us extra money. It has been, probably, the best hotel in Egypt we’ve been. Unbeatable quality-price.

Sometimes, there was no water, but they fixed it directly in seconds.

The owner Mr Mahmoud was welcoming and friendly. The room is clean, spacious and bed comfy. The food was delicious, value for money because its a big portion for 1 meal and more than enough for the 2 of us. The activity was arranged by Mr Mahmoud and it was an awesome experience. Will definitely visit luxor again.
