The hotel is centrally located and walking distance to most attractions. The beds are comfortable and the breakfast is good. The building and rooms have an understated charm with a fridge, kettle and TV. The bathroom was nice as well. This is a good local, family hotel that provides solid service. The front of house staff are friendly and helpful. For the price, this is a good value hotel. The hotel also has its own off-licence/bottle shop with beer, wine and spirits.

Staff attitude was exceptional They were very helpful and welcoming Location is centralized in the heart of portsaid Hotel style is kept within the historical value and style with the old wooden floors and high ceiling of the rooms and old doors but kept in excellent condition Overall, the vipes of the hotel are very warm and comfortable and makes you feel you live in the 1800s era with modern facilities

The fridge was not working in our room although they replaced it on the same day AC with not working although they repaired it in the same day and offered a replacement room

Loved this historic hotel. We paid extra for a triple room 207 which had two balconies. Worth it for the extra space too. We even spotted a tanker one morning through the window. Staff were lovely and we managed with translator. Yes the floor boards are creaky but it has character. Nice place to sit downstairs or outside and have coffee and breakfast of falafel, bread, cheeses, beans Nice little takeaway falafel place down the road and a 3 min walk to the sea. I was able to get hot water for my coffee downstairs.

the wifi didn’t work

I want to express my gratitude to the receptionist, Ibrahem, who heroically defended me on my first night of Port Said. I arrived at night at the bus station. The taxi driver took several detours and demanded me to pay him 5 times the normal price. It was really scary because at one point he stoped the car in the middle of nowhere and it was dark and almost no one nearby. I was seriously concerned of my safety, so I call the hotel using the number listed in my booking. Ibrahem picked up and after figuring out the situation he talked to the driver and guided us to the hotel. However the taxi driver refused to let me go, so Ibrahem came to face to face with him and guarded me safely inside. I dare not to think what would happen if he did not intervene. Throughout the incident, Ibrahem has demonstrated great communication skills, courage, and resourcefulness. As for the hotel itself: Like I said above, the staffs are extremely helpful. The location of the hotel is great. Located next to numerous restaurants and cafés, the hotel is only a few mins away from the seashore and port ferry. The AC worked fine and I had good WiFi connection in my room.

The elevator's buttons are a bit unresponsive

very affordable yet very decent and cute hotel right in the city center and within walking distance to everything. The staff were super friendly and helpful, especially Abraham and Mohamed.

This hotel is very well located in Port Said. It is very charming and the staff is very helpful.

Hygine is great, location super and has great vintage style. You will feel like you've gone through a time machine
