The location and comfortable accommodation, well appointed and very clean

The restaurant offered a good choice of dishes but were cooked just ok and the food didnt feel too exciting. The restaurant atmosphere felt rather cold in spite of the good job on the part of the waiter and waitress, who were very professional throughout the dinner service. The breakfast buffet was good, but the coffee machines are tiny for such a big room and took quite a while to work out how to operate, with the coffee capsules getting jammed or the machines blocked as a result of different issues with the trays or empy- capsule container.

A modern Parador, well situated just on outside of main town. Plenty of parking. Great pool and sun terrace. The snack bar / cafe is a great place for a pre-dinner drink. Amazing views of surrounding country. Friendly staff with good local knowledge. Rooms are very bright, spacious and well equipped. About 10 minutes walk into town where there are loads of eating options and bars - a very local scene with lots of families. Well worth exploring the old town. Easy access to main roads to get out and about.

Service at both dinner and breakfast was slow and disorganised at times. They have tour groups using the place and I think sometimes they get swamped! Dinner is okay but lots of better places in town.

The hotel is nice and has been simply but beautifully renovated. The pool is perfect for the Andalusian weather. Food at the restaurant is very good and is a good value for money, same for the wines. We had the chance to be served by an amazing waiter and I hate that I do not remember his name. Very clean and the room we had was of rather good size. Excellent value for money and the landscape is very typical. Parking is free, which is a nice surprise.

We did not feel welcome at the check-in, like we were bothering with our presence as the front desk clerk barely looked at us. Amenities in the room were basic minimum, but okay for 1 night. The breakfast is mainly made of industrial products, which is a pity for a Parador.

The room was spacious, clean and modern. The mattress was good and with right firmness, My room on the first floor had a view of the pool and the valley beyond. The hotel has free parking which is quite useful. The hotel is located within walking distance to the city. The staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant has a limited choice for dinner but very local recipes.

The restaurant opens for dinner at 8.30pm for dinner. For people from out of Spain, this is quite late for dinner.

Nice clean property. Easy walk into town. Comfortable room. Smart interior. Nice pool although didn't use. Easy to find. Nice lounge areas.

Slightly hard to navigate between floors. Floor zero and floor 1 virtually the same floor (building is on a slope). Breakfast was uninspiringly average although it was cheap. . Coffee was self help coffee pods that i don't like as I can't get them to work. Took an age to sort some alternative. Came without milk. Cooked breakfast was a theoretical possibility on menu but proved impossible to order from the restaurant staff.

The air con worked very well, a bonus, given the high July temperatures. Our room had a view of the pool, was spacious and the bed very comfortable. Great lighting from ceiling and table lamps and ample storage space. Beautiful views of the grounds and sunsets from the bar. All staff very helpful and friendly.

Was pleased we had a kettle and would have liked some coffee sachets rather than flavoured teabags.

Large and comfortable room. Fresh bottled water provided every day. Good choice at breakfast with some options to have food cooked to order. Nice bar area and reasonably priced drinks. Only tried the restaurant once but was very happy with the quality of food and the service. Excellent location, just up the hill from the main area of the city with plenty of restaurants and bars. Large car park.

Unfortunate that the swimming pool wasn't open during our stay.

Great staff, beautiful room, amazing breakfast.

Dining room was always cold. The biggest issue is the bar; it’s tucked away downstairs, very small, not at all comfortable or welcoming. We went down and there were no staff there so after waiting 10 minutes we left and went out for a drink. Guests should not have to hunt around for a member of staff, particularly in a prestigious hotel like a Parador.

Really great hotel. It’s the only luxury option in the town and it does it really well. Beautiful views over the valley and mountains and a really peaceful retreat from the town. Art work around the hotel is lovely, hotel kept immaculately. Super easy to get into Malaga for either a trip to town or for flights. - there’s a bus / coach that leaves early and is a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. Antiquera itself is one of my favourite towns in southern spain. Really beautiful old town.

One minor moan from an early riser- the bistro by the pool doesn’t open early so if you want a coffee with a vista you have to walk down into town (about 5 mins)

Really enjoyed our stay- good size rooms, even for a standard, very comfortable beds. The car park is big and parking was free. The views from the hotel across the countryside are amazing. It was a short 10 minute walk to the town centre. We really liked Antequera and to be there for the Easter processions was a fantastic experience.
