We stayed here for two nights for our first visit to Antequera.This hotel is a perfect little gem.It has a fantastic location and right in the centre of the city with great access together around the sights of the area. The staff are friendly and welcoming and always happy to help.The rooms are clean and tidy and the beds are extremely comfortable nice and firm and you get a good nights rest after a day of walking. There are bars and cafes around the hotel and a bar right on the doorstep of the hotel so no need to walk a great deal to get some breakfast or a meal or simply a alcoholic drink while watching the people go by.This won’t be our last visit to Antequera or the hotel it was exceptional and memorable visit.

This charming little hotel was right on an old plaza. Our room looked out over the plaza and the cathedral. While the room was basic and kind of small, the view was just beautiful. Spend the extra money for a room that faces the plaza! The bathroom was nicely updated. The location was perfect for finding good places to eat and people watching.

It was hard to drop off bags before we checked in when arriving by car. it wasn't clear what the parking situation was going to be, and we ended up using a public lot called Centro Parking. With large parking spots, it was clean and professionally run. We did have about a seven minute walk.

We were so positively surprised by this hotel: perfect location on an charming square in front of an ancient church, walking distance from all monuments; practical room with a big, lovely window offering light and birds’ songs; and very kind and helpful staff. Initially I had concerns because of a restaurant and saloon nearby but in fact there was a no reason to be: no inconveniences or noise whatsoever. And a big shout out to the reception staff who was adorable, always smiling and ready to help! Highly recommended to anyone looking for a practical stop-over on the road to the Caminito del Ray or Ronda ;-)

The receptionist was very friendly and welcoming, with clever use of Google translate to help check in go smoothly. The room was an ideal size for one. I had a double bed and fridge which was better than I had booked. The place is superbly clean and you can see the pride everyone takes in keeping the place in excellent condition. The room is close to the castle and within minutes of some superb cafes and tapas bars. Would highly recommend, this hotel exceeds what you would expect from a 2 star hotel and is excellent value for money.

No additional facilities such as kettle provided automatically in the room. But this is the only thing that could be different.

Lovely staff. Good clean accommodation in a very quiet but central position. I was on a walking holiday, lots of nearby restaurants and bars to get food from. Good hot shower. There is a lounge area which I guess is for generally use, it had a microwave and some books available. I'd definitely stay again also it's a great city.

It is a basic room. Woman in room next door was noisy, not hotels fault but probably thin soundproofing, I could hear the conversations but it was during the afternoon. Very quiet at night. No kettle but that is normal in a Spanish hotel.

This hotel is on a lovely little square with a bar next door (bring ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper). We paid a few dollars more to have a room facing onto the square; it had french doors and a little balcony. This was worth every cent! There is an extra charge for private parking (very close by and secure) - also worth every cent, as street parking isn’t readily available. The staff were all charming and helpful.

The only slightly awkward thing is that there’s nowhere in front of the hotel to stop the car, pick up the key to the parking lot, and proceed to the parking lot. You must park (possibly illegally) in a side dead-end street, run into the hotel, and pick up the key. The reverse problem exists when you’re leaving. This works if there are two of you, but would be awkward for one person. This has nothing to do with the hotel itself, but with the lack of street parking.

The hotel could not be in a better location. The rooms were clean and had everything one needs, including a kettle with various teas and a fridge (which is not that common in Spain at this room price). The lady at the reception was also very helpful. Antequera is a lovely place and is definitely worth visiting. TIP: I personally recommend avoiding coming by train, as the station is located many kms away and there are no buses or other means of transport (besides expensive taxis) that take you from the station to the town. On the other hand, the bus station is at walking distance and has good connections to Malaga, etc. Of course, you are more free to move around with a rental car.

The location is beautiful, opposite a grand old church. It's easy to walk to a variety of restaurants and shops. It's great to have tea/coffee making facilities in your room in a Spanish hotel. Refreshing shower and bathroom facilities. Comfortable bed and a quiet night with good sleep.

A cup and teaspoon would have been appreciated in the room, rather than styrofoam cups and stick stirrers. The wrought iron headboards are attractive but very uncomfortable to sit on the bed to watch the TV (the pillow was stiff and difficult to manoeuvre).

The hotel is in the centre of town so easy to reach the monuments and churches. We were given good advice about free parking even though the hotel sells parking spaces in its own carpark. We were able to get into our room early.

There is a constant flow of traffic in front of the hotel - it's not noisy but the air is polluted in the centre. There are nice outdoor cafes nearby but the fumes from traffic spoil the experience. This is not the fault of the hotel but of the city planners - to make it a pleasant environment they need to re-route traffic and return the centre to pedestrians and neighbours.

Location location location 😍. Lovely friendly staff who speak excellent English if required. Very generous check in and check out times with the added bonus of a secure room in which to store your luggage after check out if required. Rooms are spacious and bright with lovely seating areas dotted throughout the hotel. Taking into account the extremely reasonable rates charged, for me, this hotel deserves eleven out of ten 😁.
