We really appreciated the cleaning crew that kept our room clean during our stay. The location is great, the métro is barely 5min away walking, and the line is very convenient. You can also access the beach, walkable distance. The AC makes our stay way more comfortable, as it was a very hot week.

Because the location is very central, and the isolation is the room does not seems very good, we could hear a lot of the outside sounds. Anyone looking for a quieter stay may want to look for a different location. Would have been nice to also have an extra towel for face/hair on top of the big one given.

Wonderful, friendly staff on every shift. Made us feel like home. A very clean and cozy, yet small, room in an old apartment house in the old town of Barcelona. We loved the ancient elevator that rooms two at best. Very good breakfast served at Hotel Anna Marta a few doors down the street. The Lyon is worth every cent.

Everything is hunky dory from the hotel side, but the city could and should do something about the sewer smell right in front of the entrance. But hey, something like that is part of the big city experience 🙂

Location was great. Room was smaller, but really clean, housekeeping was done everyday. For me the most important thing in any accomodation is cleanliness. For this money in Barselona this is great value. Staff was really helpful and nice. Breakfast was served in another hotel 50m away from Lyon, this was fine for us. Good choices for breakfast.

We stayed for 5 days. Hotel Lyon is on second floor. 2 days in a road there was noise from 3rd floor - somebody was running in apartment above and you could sometimes hear people from next room speaking.

My partner and I are very easygoing. We looked for a simple room with our own bathroom, in a good location. And this is exactly what we got. We were really happy with our choice. Staff was lovely and helpful. Location was perfect as it was close to literally everything you may need. We didn't find it noisy at all. The room was clean and tidy, bathroom was also good - shower pressure and temperature of water was perfect as well. The hotel is located very close to the port and to a metro station if you need it, but if you are like us and like to walk everywhere, then this is perfect for you as it's very close to the old part of town, which absolutely beautiful. Plenty of restaurants and bars within 5-10 min walk. Overall, we were fully satisfied with our stay and we would recommend this to anyone like-minded. :)

As I mentioned in my other comments - my partner and I are very easygoing, and we wanted a room on a budget. This ticked our boxes perfectly. If you are after anything luxurious or looking to stay in your room all day and watch TV(?!) I would probably recommend looking elsewhere. For someone who is there on a budget and wants to purely explore the beauty of Barcelona all day and only go back to the room for a quick shower or a nap, that was the perfect place. :)

I was absolutely delighted with my stay! Despite being a simple hotel, it had everything I needed for my trip to Barcelona. The cleanliness was impeccable, the location was excellent, and the bed linens and towels were fresh and good -quality. The shower was great, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and the staff was friendly and helpful. I couldn’t have asked for more — everything exceeded my expectations!

Room no bigger than it needed to be. I requested a twin room upon booking and got it. We were regularly offered fresh towels throughout our stay and the property kept our bags after checkout until we got our taxi which the property also booked for us. Never waited longer than 5 seconds to be let in the front ground floor door, even at 3:00AM. Air conditioning in the room was lovely and cold, and the shower water pressure was fantastic. Location was perfect for getting to the Marina and surrounding areas. Also, the Mr Robinson bar on the corner of the street was a great added bonus, good food and drink.

Don’t inspect the rooms too closely as you will find imperfections, but for the price paid, these were easily overlooked. Very small bath with an overhead shower, a walk in shower might have been more appropriate.

The Hotel is located very close to the Barceloneta metro station and has everything you need around it. The rooms are small, but PERFECT for a couple on holiday. We didn't need more. We got clean, fresh towels every day (even tho we didn't necessarily need it) and the rooms were always tidied up when we came back. Staff were very helpful and welcoming!

Walls are thin and you can sometimes hear other guests.

Location was great. Breakfast was great. Balcony was great.

Room was pretty tight & uncomfortable. No room for luggage. Closet pretty small. No where to put your things in the bathroom. And the number of floors to get to your room, just aweful. Two floors was more like 6 floors. Elevator doesn't fit but 2 people without luggage. More than one trip to get your things up unless you climb the stairs.

Location is great, there is a metro station nearby - easy commute from and to the airport. It was quiet so a good sleep guaranteed. We checked-in in the middle of the night, around 1:30 with no problem, the receptionist was there and was very helpful.

Mattress is a bit hard, but it's a matter of preference.

Breakfast was in a sister hotel just down the street. It was excellent! The hotel is in a beautiful old building. Great location, staff were terrific and helpful. Many restaurants and bars nearby. Two great restaurants to try- Oaxaca Cuina Mexicana and 7 Portes. Both 2 minutes away.

Room was a little small but the great location and staff more than made up for it.
