It exceeded my expectations!! Franco station is literally opposite. You have a kitchen and dining area where there is a fridge, kettle with free supplies of herbal teas + tea, coffee, sugar, milk and water at your disposal and they even give you free muffins!! Wonderful! The room was spacious, bed was super comfy and the balcony was a perk!! Had no problem having the outside private bathroom - was always clean (as was the room and areas - cleaner cleans every day) and the water was perfect for the shower! Loved the extra blanket and the air conditioning /heater to keep me warm at night. Staff were exceptional!! Muchas gracias!!!

The walls are paper thin and for both nights, I had noisy people next door who would be talking until 3am!! 😭😭😭 It’s not the property’s fault though. Wifi was intermittent but no problem.

I liked the work of the staff. Even before our arrival, we were sent several times instructions on how to get to the hotel. They were waiting for us. We were greeted warmly and shown our room. The room had everything we needed for our stay. The windows overlook one of the busy streets of Barcelona, ​​but the room was quiet and the noise from the street did not interfere. A comfortable common room with everything you need for a snack. There is tea, coffee, water and muffins.

Unfortunately, the central heating battery did not work stably. We used the air conditioner to heat the room, it was quite comfortable. But at night it turned off and had to be turned on. This is perhaps the only significant remark.

We're completely satisfied with our stay at the Pension Ciudadela. We reached the location by R2N and R2S from the BCN airport, as it was recommended by the hosts. The building has an elevator to the rooms and a terrace. The facilities are new and clean. The shared kitchen is equipped with crockery and cutlery, as well as an electric kettle, coffee machine, and microwave oven. Our room was quiet, with windows facing Carrer de Comerç. We admired the pension's location. It's close to a bus stop, the metro, Barceloneta beach, supermarkets, the beautiful Ciutadella Park, and has a lot of cafes in the area. We communicated with the staff in English or using Google Translate. On the day of check-in and check-out, we left our luggage at the pension free of charge.

I stayed at this hostel on May 9, 2025 for nights. I was in room #1 which is an inside room with a well window. There is no noise & it’s dark which allowed me to sleep like a baby. I really appreciated free water out of a water dispenser, free coffee and fruit everyday. It’s only 2 blocks from the metro which is super easy to understand and use. I got the 72 hour ticket and saw all of Barcelona during my 3 day visit. Building is secure and many good restaurants within blocks, however I walked to the gothic district everyday, I couldn’t resist. It’s also close to the beach which was unexpected. They offer free WiFi and a code to the building which has a lift to the 3rd floor and rooftop sitting area. Lovely property!

- Very friendly stuff, who will kindly answer all your questions and will stay in touch when necessary - Nice location with cafes and shops nearby - Clean room with all necessary supplies and bath accessories (even toothbrush). Cleaning was done everyday. - Common kitchen with water, coffee, tea and small snacks available - Terrace on the 4th floor to spend you free time (for example during breakfast)

- I would say that bed is quite small for two people :( - Lighting in the bathroom is a bit poor, but it is an advantage when you are waking up to use bathroom in the night ;)) - Sound insulation is not of high level, but it is understandable, as this is like large apartment with small rooms inside and each room is rented for different guests. You never know, who will get up earlier, who will behave louder and etc. - Lack of sink in common kitchen might be uncomfortable for someone

The location was amazing, very well connected with public transport, nice little places to eat near by. Furthermore, the accomodation itself was very nice, the room and space clean and cosy and the hostess very welcoming and available to help us navigate the city. If we visit again we will stay here again!

The accessibility can be a bit challenging with a bigger stroller, we had a compact one so we were fine. This is common for older buildings so this more informative than a negative point.

The room was small but spotless and it had everything I needed. The staff is super friendly and helpful, communicated well and were there for me whenever I needed them. The location was perfect, right in front of the Francia station, in the Born neighbourhood, but it was quite, with no sound from the street. There are many excellent restaurants around and most of the main attractions are within a walking distance. Free coffee/tea/fruit/cakes all day long.

Simply everything is perfect. Room, cleanliness, staff ready to help. Location is great. Easy to reach from airport by train. Though on a big bulevard, it is not loud at all (slept with open windows). Supermarket in 1 minute. Bars restaurants all around. You may walk to almost any point of interest. You may leave your luggage after check out. We felt very safe. Very pleased with kitchen facilities offered, and thankful for coffee, tea and muffins which were always available. Terrace on the roof is beautiful (for their guests only). For sincere recomendation, and would gladly repeat the experience

Pension Cuidadela is a wonderful place to stay. This was our second visit and it was as good as the first. The rooms are large and welcoming with lovely ensuite bathrooms. The beds are very comfortable. The rooms have use of a small kitchen which is well equipped and very helpful. The value for money is amazing. The location is perfect for exploring the city. We'll be coming back again.

As before, nothing the property did wrong but some of the fellow guests were not as considerate as we felt we were. There was some shouting and door banging in the early hours on a couple of nights and we had some our provisions taken from the fridge and used.

Excellent location, near train and bus stations. Beautiful Ciudadela Park behind the corner. A lot of restaurants around the pension. Clean bathroom and fresh towels. Very good looking accomodation, spacious room with comfortable beds, clean and fresh bedding. The common kitchen was nice as well, with coffe machine, tea, water and small snaks and all necessary cutlery, microwave and fridge. Lovely sunny roof terrace, the nicest with coffe in the morning. Building with elavator. Nice and helpful service. The whole staying was perfect. Access to the guesthouse and rooms using a code at any time. You can store your luggage if the room is not ready or after you leave. It was perfect staying for our family.
