The hostal was located in a really convenient location to the Gothic Quarter. Everything was easy to navigate and walk to and felt very safe. My room was very quiet and had everything I needed and I appreciated having a shower in the room.

There's a rusty exposed nail or screw that is sticking out of the ground beside the tub. I appreciate the convenience of the key system, but being able to grab anyone's room key when you come in made me feel a little uncomfortable. Nothing happened, but I worried about the risk of someone seeing which room I stayed in and being able to just take the key and get access to my room.

Excellent location. Very clean. Comfy bed. Strong air-con. Water in shower heats up quickly and with high pressure. They also provide hair dryer, shampoo and shower gel. A fridge in the common area for everybody to use.

It gets a little bit noisy in the morning due to traffic as this place located on the big street. I am ok with it considering convenience and safety. Minor problem: Water comes out from the bath tub easily because it’s quite small and low. Got to be careful stepping out.

Place was absolutely amazing. We had family unit with 3 balconies, kitchen and 1 separate bedroom. First of all- location is perfect, everything is here affordable grocery store, parks, transportation and walk to all landmarks under 1 hour- yes even to Guell park was like 45 minutes for us, national museum of Catalonia- 30sh minutes, beach about 10 minutes. Place itself has a lot of charm especially ceramic ceilings with exposed beams and antique windows with shatters. Beds were comfy, large and nice pillows, large shower and metal door lol. Stove with oven- yes you can have your pizza there or whatever you want.

I like everything about that place consider advantages

Convenient to every possible necessity, a tourists dream! From sidewalk cafés to 5 star restaurants, from fresh made Gelato to small and large grocery stores, hop on/off busses, historic sites everywhere you go, fabulous architecture, and the friendliest, most helpful and accommodating staff, my stay here is one of my best ever!😁

No private refrigerator. I had a bottle of alcohol (alcohol does not freeze) in the freezer. I believe someone (?) 'borrowed' some and replaced with water. The next night, I went to make a drink & the 'water' inside was frozen solid. Except for this incident, I had an extremely enjoyable 5 night stay at Hotel Orleans!😁

This place is right across from the big train station, Estación de Francia. It was nice to roll right in after taking the train in from the airport. The room was very small but clean, and we had our own bathroom and a tiny balcony. The rooms are cleaned everyday which was really nice. There is a shared living room with a fridge, vending machine, coffee machine and kettle. But if you want to have coffee you need to buy pods in the vending machine and they’re quite expensive. There’s no sink in the main area near the kettle, so you need to go to the bathroom a bit down the hall to fill it up. Also there are only paper cups (though the rooms have glass cups provided). The toilet in our room was also a bit fussy about flushing. Also it was definitely noisy at night since we were right on a huge street in front of the station. We did use the metro quite a bit as we didn’t really want to explore that immediate area. On our way out we stopped by a neighbouring cafe called Lulu & Flynn - though a tad expensive it was a really good coffee and breakfast sandwich - definitely a good nearby option!

- en suite toilet were sluggish - kitchen not designed for DIY coffee - security seemed a little bit lax for those who are particular about that sort of thing, but it didn't bother us much, ( ie your labelled room key is stored at the front desk)

First of all, I want to thank the Booking company for the discount on accommodation and free transfer from the airport to the hostel! This is great! The hostel creates a feeling of home comfort. It is felt that the staff is very caring and every detail is thought out so that guests feel comfortable. Hostel's location is super! There are beaches, bus stops, museums, shops and French Rail Station nearby. Towels were changed daily, bed linen in three days. There are refrigerator, coffee maker in the Hall for all. Air conditioner (very important in high temperature outside.)

We have one bed for two adult females. high audibility: we were often woken up in the middle of the night by the noise from the street and conversations in the hallway. The safety of food in the refrigerator is not guaranteed - our reusable plastic box with fruits was stolen.

The location was perfect for getting to the beach front ( 20 mins walk) and the historic quarter was right behind us with all the quaint little alleys. There is a tremendous park and also a zoo right at the end of the road. Plenty of places to eat and drink in short walking distance. The staff at the hostel were very accommodating and friendly ( 24 hr reception). Lovely communal lounge area with fridge, microwave and kettle.

No facility to be able to wash dishes. No cooking facilities other than the microwave. A kettle in the room would be great but perhaps not enough room. The place could be noisy at times but generally quiet.

Everything exceeded our expectations. The room is beautiful, spacious and clean. Bathroom too. The beds are very comfortable and the room is equipped with enough storage space and is nicely lit. The location of the hotel is perfect and the staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a safe in the room, but even without it, we were completely sure that our things were safe because the reception is open 24 hours a day. The beach is a 15-minute walk from the accommodation.

The only thing I would like to see added to the accommodation is a little more storage space in the bathroom and in the shower cabin for personal cosmetics because the space around the sink is too small to fit everything, and in the shower it is a little inconvenient to keep personal hygiene products on the floor.

Great location within walking distance to the Gothic Quarter and many museums – perfect for exploring the city on foot. The room was clean and well-equipped, shared area with a fridge and microwave, which was convenient for storing and heating food. Comfortable beds, and the staff were friendly and available 24/7.

The pillows weren’t very comfortable, and the room was quite small – better suited for those who only need a place to sleep. The Wi-Fi was very slow, only good for basic messaging, and the soundproofing was weak – noise from the street and neighboring rooms was noticeable. No dishes, even knife.

Great location, room being cleaned everyday which make you feel nice when you just get back to sleep after a long day going out. My son and I had a great time in Barcelona and would stay again in Hostal Orleans . We didn’t mind the steps like others mentioned as only had small suitcases. We found our favourite breakfast, brunch place right near the hostal. I didn’t pay attention that you had options to choose between private bathroom or shared one and luckily we got the private bathroom. I’m glad I chose this area rather than Gothic Quarter. It got a cool,lively enough vibe around there. Lots of nice bars and restaurants around, easy and near enough to get to all the attractions. The train station is right opposite which make it convenient for some further locations.
