Fabulous location in the old town with friendly and helpful staff on reception. Our room was small but nicely appointed, with excellent mattress and sound-proofing. So we had a great night's sleep. Be advised the 'pool' is too small to swim, and you need to book a slot. You may not be able to use it (we did, but not until next morning).

The breakfast was disappointing. With tables close together, we shared the dramas of a tour party. The food from the buffet was good quality, but selection not great. Coffee is self-service from an industrial nespresso machine with warm milk on the side. One member of staff had to work tirelessly to keep the room going, but it was just a disappointing experience overall. Particularly at the price point of the hotel. I've had breakfasts twice as good in hotels half the price.

Excellent boutique hotel right in the heart of the old town. Beware - despite Google do not try to drive there! It is better to park in the underground parking station Paseo de Canalejas and take a 6 minute walk. (20Euros/24 hrs). Beautiful decor, warm reception and a pleasant room. Only one chair despite it being a double room. Good quiet air-conditioning, well-appointed modern bathroom. Excellent buffet breakfast in a delightful breakfast-room on the ground floor.

I had not noticed that this hotel does not have a bar or restaurant, only bed and breakfast available. Information re parking is lacking on the Booking.com website. Not the hotel's responsibility of course, but unfortunately our stay was marred by the hordes of tourists who descended off three visiting cruise ships.

One of the most stylish places we ever stayed at. Former 18th century British Embassy converted to a absolutely wonderful little boutique hotel. Hardly ever seen so much attention to detail. We could escalate , but best experience it yourself. Fine breakfast and nice spa. We assume this is the best hotel in town.

First floor room close to pub around the corner which was busy until early morning hours. We had to shut the windows. Thanks to triple glazing total noise cancellation. Narrow streets mean no light, sunshine or view, but that will apply to most hotels in the old part of Cadiz. No access for cars !

The hotel itself IS stunning, ideally located, well appointed and with some unique and luxurious features. The Tower Room is surprisingly spacious and the terrace offers incredible views. The Spa area is very nice, the gym is small but modern and reasonably well equipped.

It was bemusing that having booked the one and only Tower Room (a much higher price point than the Junior Suite or Double Rooms) we were assigned a standard room on check in and had to go back to correct it. Having made special requests on the booking and with it being the only such room you'd think they'd be prepared for you. And then although we booked Junior Suites for the other couples in our group, the rooms they ended up with were of completely different qualities; one was on the 4th floor and had a terrace and a separate living room; the other was on the 1st floor, had much less space and no terrace yet they both cost the same. Hotel seemed to be understaffed; long waits at reception.

Very well furnished and a perfect location right in the centre of the old town. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. There was free cava and white wine with snacks in reception every day

We got free use of the spa with pool, sauna, steam room as we stayed for a week. Unfortunately the waterfall at the end of the pool wasn't working, the steam room didn't work and the sauna wasn't warm so we only spent about 20 minutes down there. It would have been great if everything had worked

Beautiful hotel, spotlessly clean and perfectly located in the heart of the old town. Really large bedroom with super comfy bed, separate sitting area and great bathroom with magnificent shower. Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety to suit all tastes including several gluten free options. I have to give a special mention to all the staff we met and in particular to Bea (Beatrice) on reception who was most welcoming, professional and helpful especially when we needed to change our plans at short notice. She really made our stay very special.

Beautiful building within easy walking distance to main attractions. Large rooms with plenty of storage and good sized bathroom. Breakfast was good - plenty of choice and eggs made to order. Complimentary white wine or cava in reception as well as fruit, pastries and sweets.

We didn’t use the spa but at €25 per person for 50 minutes, that’s very expensive. I would have expected to be able to use these facilities as part of our stay, even if we had to book a time slot to accommodate other guests.

The location was perfect! Also the ambiance of the hotel, with it's open palatial feel. This was my second time to stay in this hotel and I extended to another day. The hotel gives you enough privacy without really seeing other guests walking around, aside from breakfast. The AC was perfect, the rooms sound proof, and the size just right with a partition only made 3/4 of the wall giving you the feeling that it's big. I have a double room and it has its own separate sitting room with additional TV, and a table where I can work a bit during my stay and a balcony. Breakfast was included in my booking you get more than enough choices at the buffet.

We enjoyed the location, the silence both upon entering the beautiful palace hall and in the corridors and room, the big bed with an awesome mattress, the amenities. The shower glass door is not well sealed and some drops remain outside but you don't care too much when all the rest is great. The property offered a free room upgrade upon entering so we went from a standard with balcony to a premium with balcony in the upper floors.

Reading other people's comments you hear about parking problems or breakfast. This was not our case so we give them a 10. It was hard to find a hotel without noise in the area. This one is perfect.

This hotel is situated in an old restored building with beautiful period features such as the grand staircase and glass atrium .The location is central situated in the old town .The bedroom was fitted out to the highest standard with a great spacious bathroom and excellent shower .The breakfast is first class with a huge choice of fruit cheese bread etc and eggs cooked to order .At reception there is always available fruit drinks and small pastries .All the staff were so helpful and friendly with plenty of good advice on places to visit restaurants and how to get there etc Highly recommend this hotel .

A small point - the hotel mugs are too big for the coffee machine in the bedroom ( I understand smaller cups are on order)so need to be used with care as the water gets very hot
