The garden and pool area are beautiful and great for kids. Good size rooms with small kitchen. Everything was very clean. Very friendly staff across all areas of the hotel.

The food lacks quality ingredients, which is the biggest downside of the hotel. They mainly use frozen vegetables and fish, which is a shame because the Huelva area is known for it´s seafood and agriculture. The meat is limited to chicken and stews, but in no occasion there were quality base products used. The chefs do their best to put tasteful meals on the table, which often worked out ok. However, their cutting costs on the food is the only reason why I won´t repeat my visit to this hotel.

The food was brilliant and a great selection. The hotel was clean, even the public toilets. The setup for kids was excellent. The location for beach and shops was very handy.

Some of the older staff members could be more friendly and helpful. The younger ones were very helpful and cheerful. I didnt like the hidden cost of the indoor pool especially cost for toddlers. Plus there was no one to monitor the pool so older kids where doing what they wanted around families with babies and small kids, even thou the rules state a quite and relaxing pool with no jumping diving running etc etc.

Super clean, excellent food, different types of pools (that was a must for us with small kids - it would have been really perfect if the water was a bit warmer), super nice staff. The hotel is beautiful especially outside with the palm trees, the swimming pools, the lights at night and the direct access to the beautiful sandy beach is a must for long walks. Great activities for kids : Kids Club, Mini Disco, night show.

Bedroom was in need of a bit of maintenance : the door to the balcony could not close properly so we could not let our kids sleep in the sofa bed as we were afraid they could open the door + when it was windy, it made a lot of noise. The switch to switch off the light on the balcony was not working so the light was always on. The swimming pools are too cold. Our kids were literally freezing after 15min in the pool.

Great place to stay, few little things to improve for a better experience.. beautiful place, relaxing full of facilities.

I didn’t like the €15 deposit for pool towels per person, annoying, even worst they only accepted cash for deposit. The buffet is great but a bit slow when they run out of eggs on breakfast you have to wait quite a lot to be served.The buffet food get cold sometimes and you have to microwave to eat you food hot.

Really cold water in the outdoor swimming pools. At least the one for babies could have been a bit warmer. Of course we've been there at the beginning of the season and in the middle of the summer might be OK. Also the access to the indoor swimming pool was surprisingly expensive even for kids (7 euros for 90 minutes). Beside the fact that in the offer was not written that we don't have access to the indoor swimming pool and I thought that is part of the deal. I recommend dropping by 50% the access for the kids, at least for May, June &September when the water outside might be cold.

Everything was so clean and the pool having a middle island was perfect. As someone who gets sunburnt easily I'm used to not getting to enjoy much but since the pool had many places with some shade I was able to use it the whole day.

During meals (not breakfast) the drinks weren't included in the half pension or full pension, instead being part of the all included package. This wasn't mentioned anywhere and feels a bit predatory, limiting to one free drink per person would be better, as the all included is usually for those eating/drinking outside of meals

The food, the suite with two rooms, the pools, the snacks available during the day, the beach, the animation in the main pool,...

The noise from the animation after lunch and dinner and the lack of sound proof of both rooms, specially the children's. The hour at which the lunch started, which was quite late for a family with children. And the lack of effective window sun blocks. But overall, even with shorter nights of sleep, the experience was very very positive. A pleasant surprise.

Los Tios y Primos Family from Portugal has to say that everything was exceptional! As soon as we arrived we were very well received, they even took a photo of our group of 16 people in the lobby! Our request to stay close to each other was granted, extremely attentive and ready to help in any situation (best hotel staff I have ever come across)! The buffet food for the three meals of the day was excellent with a huge variety, and at night there was always a "theme": Italian, Asian, UK, American, etc... very interesting indeed! The entire exterior (and even interior) space of the hotel is beautiful... there are three swimming pools, one with slides for everyone, another for babies with an awning to protect them from the sun, and another huge one with various depths and where there are several activities... there is more than enough space for all the sun loungers, there are shaded and sunny areas, and many grass areas... an auditorium for shows and entertainment, restaurants and bars (with a cocktail of the day at half price) , and also a direct passage to the beach (the sea in Spain is incredible!)... the rooms have some of the best sound insulation I've ever been to, the only thing is the windows aren't 100% perfect, but it was never a problem for anyone, we all slept the nights in a row (the beds were huge and very confy)! Evene the corridors to the rooms... very greenery, iluminated and spacious! Everything was perfect! Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, to all the staff at Estival Islantilla for providing us with a memorable week! Los Tios y Primos are eternally grateful!

This is a warning to all tourists who choose this area for their holidays. There is extensive, open and free parking near the hotel and the beach where we parked a car for practical reasons (where we kept parasols and beach rackets). Don't do it. There are stupid people who go around breaking windows and searching cars thinking that people leave something valuable in cars (stupid therefore). If possible, leave your car in front of the hotel, or even in the private parking lot (this is paid separately). Our car had a broken window, but it has now been repaired and we have a cement brick as a souvenir.

The resort is very well designed and organized, with several pools, lots of green areas, many water attractions for children, and a direct access to the beach. The reception, restaurant and cleaning staff was, as always, extremely nice and welcoming.

Our mattress was very uncomfortable (we could feel the springs while sleeping). The bed structure was also squeaking a lot and would wake up our daughter in the night. The cleaning was also not as good as in our previous stays. Overall, we spent a great week but left with the feeling that the room we were into could use a bit of maintenance and refurbishement.

We love all the variety of Food. Especially the dinners were Amazing quality with lots of options. Very well presented and organized. We also like the fact that the buffet seating was organized and never too crowded.

I think the rooms could have been cleaner and it would have been nice to pay less for the inside pool.
