Friendly staff. Rooms kept impeccably clean. Location excellent. We have come here many times over the years and will come again.

We do not consider that the range of breakfast offering is value for money when compared to what is available in cafe/ restaurant around the corner. Perhaps a bit more imagination in how the pricing is structured in PCH would help make the breakfast price more competitive.

Lovely location and very pleasant hotel, clean rooms, tastefully decorated with exceptionally comfortable beds. The rooms with terraces are fantastic, and you get a great view. Had it been warmer I might have used the roof top pool, which looks ok for a dip, and is surrounded with around 15 or so sun loungers. The hotel itself is a short walk from the bus station, and within 5 mins walk to the Balcon de Europa + many cafes, bars and souvenirs. Well thought out details: a 'closet' with actual coat hangers, which rarely occurs in many hotels I have stayed, good coffee/tea making facilities and water + extra blankets and pillows, and towels for pool. everything looked brand new, perhaps it was.

The breakfast was nice, a buffet style, but not exceptional to be worth 15 euros, I think it's a bit steep to be honest. The coffee was 'ok' and a bit too sweet, I feel they have made things to suit the British food taste a bit too much, who really wants baked beans on holiday?

The Plaza Cavana Hotel is perfectly located for everything in Nerja including restaurants. In particular the reception staff were efficient, helpful and friendly. The servicing of the room was excellent and the hotel was spotlessly clean. The beds were extremely comfortable and as we had an interior room overlooking the garden area the room was very quiet and we had a very good nights sleep.

The room we had was very quiet but as the window was opposite the bed it was overlooked by everyone who used the corridors to other rooms around the garden. Therefore the shutters had to be permanently closed or the curtains pulled at all times for privacy which made the room very dark. Bathroom was a bit dated but spotlessly clean and the shower quite inadequate with no flow. Most of all the most disappointing thing about the hotel was the quality of the breakfast. Breakfast room was closed at 11.00 and despite arriving at 10.00 am items had already run out or looked like they had been sitting around for a long time. No croissants, bread was rock hard seemed stale. Admittedly we had read previous reviews and only had breakfast one day.

We love the ambience of the hotel & it's ideal location in the middle of Nerja & within easy walk to the Balcon & bars , restaurants & the many boutique shops. The rooftop bar & pool is also an oasis of calm, with a great view across the rooftops to the sea. The staff are very friendly & accommodating too. This was our second stay at Hotel Plaza Cavana & we will definately be back again.

Unfortunately the room we booked on Booking.com wasn't the room we were given & we were disappointed. However, we were able to change rooms to the correct type of room the following day. Next time, l will contact the hotel direct, in order to ensure our booking is as required.

Rooms are well appointed and the beds very comfortable. The buffet breakfast is excellent and the location of the hotel in the centre of the old town is great. The hotel’s biggest asset is its staff. Everyone, the ladies who keep everywhere so clean, the staff in the breakfast room and those on reception, are so friendly and helpful.

Taking into account that this is a 3 star hotel that already punches above its weight and the price we paid, I can’t think of anything I would want to complain about. The worst thing I experienced was having to leave.

Staff were lovely & friendly. The whole hotel was stopless. The location was perfect, just behind the church on the square. Walking distance to all shops , bars & restaurants. Reception was very kind to allowed us to keep our room for a further two hours on check out day .

I was disappointed breakfast wasn’t included with our booking. It was €15 extra pp per morning. There was 3 of us so found the room a little small. There was nothing available to put our suitcases on . It was advertised room with a balcony but you could only stand out on it not able to sit out .

We loved the location which was within walking distance of all local amenities. The staff were amazing and nothing was too much to ask for. The rooms were clean, bright & perfect for us . With French doors opening up to the square below, with a glimpse of the Sea too, but when shut the hustle & bustle if the square was not noticeable. The roof top pool and bar area were amazing and a great place for an afternoon swim after shopping or all day sunbathing if you so desired. The hotel also offered well priced trips beyond Nerja and a buffet breakfast as an extra cost. Overall a very enjoyable short break for us and definately a hotel we will return too. I find it hard to understand that this hotel is only rated a 3* as it certainly seemed a much higher rating based on our experience of 4* star hotels.

Unfortunately the pool area in the roof top is rather small and wouldn’t accommodate all guests. However on our visit there was always a sun bed to be had.

Second stay here, which should tell you something! It's the best location in Nerja- right in the middle of everything. You'd think that being based on a noisy square, you'd be awake all night but the sound proofing is exceptional. Early morning routine was to walk up to Salvadore's bakery and get coffee and croissants, then wander down to the Playa Salon to eat them and watch the sun rise.

Everything was excellent. We didn't try Breakfast here as preferred to be by the sea.

I couldn't fault this hotel. It had the best location. Very quiet, very clean, staff were soo helpful. Pool was perfect and the poolside food was gorgeous. Beds were soo comfortable. We had a wonderful time and if I was ever to go to Nerja again, I would def stay there. I'll be back someday

The only fault was the collection of the rubbish bins outside my window a couple of nights! Very noisy but not a big issue. think it was 2 out of the 7 nights for 10 mins.

Our room was beautiful, spacious with modern facilities. The hotel is spotlessly clean. Our room was at the front of the premises because we love to hear the buzz of activity in the square below our balcony. The location is perfect for everything, including the Balcon and the staff are always helpful, polite and willing to assist you with anything from taxis to local attractions.

I've been to the hotel many times and this is more about other guests, not the hotel. In the past I have always been able to visit the pool and obtain a sunbed. However, guests now seem to think it is appropriate to get to the pool early and place towels on sunbeds, which then sit empty for hours until that guest decides they want to sunbathe. This could easily be stopped by placing a sign at the pool that beds cannot be reserved and any towels on unoccupied beds will be removed. It's fair and stops this ridiculously, selfish behaviour. Incidentally, these were all UK guests!
