Everything was nice

on booking.com i booked the room for 2 people including breakfast, when i reached the hotel they said you will pay for second person for breakfast , not as per my reservation ??? also why the booming.com when i booked ot says the price includes fees and taxes and when i reached the hotel they charged me extra $45 daily for facilities , still not making sense to me , i think this is cheating and trapping people. am not happy for hidden fees not mentioned clearly when i made the booking .

When we arrived, the room we originally requested was fully booked. We were instead given a room upgrade and restaurant credit for the inconvenience. Staff has always been accommodating, which is one of the many reasons we come back to this hotel. Breakfast, location, facilities, everything exceptional.

All staff were so helpful and friendly. We had a flat tire, from a nail, checking out of the hotel and the valet staff did not hesitate to help us fill it with their machine so we could smoothly leave. They went above and beyond!! The rooms were also so clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable, can’t forget the incredible views too. TV has chrome cast so we could enjoy our hulu/netflix/etc. Would stay here again for sure!!

While the rooftop, Spire73, is listed as a $$$$ bar/restaurant, their policy is $60 minimum per person so be prepared for that. Other than that, truly no complaints about my stay here.

Customer services are great! The view is the best in LA. Having your breakfast in club lounge is one of the best things, the view is amazing. Also the bar on the top, you would love it and come back again to this hotel.

The club lounge has to book both breakfast and dinner together. Can’t just book breakfast only (only exception is the day you leave they can let you book for breakfast only). There are so many restaurants in LA, we usually find other nice restaurants during dinner instead of having those light food that club lounge provides. But paying for both breakfast and dinner we have to have dinner in the club lounge, otherwise we waste the money paying for both breakfast and dinner. By the way, the breakfast is great and the view is amazing! The dinner has some light food(more like snack), it’s nice, and drinks are free. But we prefer some more delicious food as our dinner.

- the location. And it was Christmas night of 2025, the tree and decorations were amazing! From our room on 40 something floor we saw the whole LA was sparkling with fireworks!~ But I would recommend one to see it from the lobby on 70th floor for the best possible view. The idea to make the lobby on the highest floor is great! Otherwise, it is just a regular 5-star hotel.

- mandatory deposit for the stay was canceled in one month after exchanging several emails; - don’t move things in the self-counting minibar. I did and ~70$ were charged and refunded in a month; - lobby bar coupon doesn’t cover cakes, only drinks; - breakfast included in our rate didn’t cover coffee and tea, only food. They charged me for coffee and tea at breakfast. - the receptionists were polite but kind of cold. Maybe they explained the rules about the minibar, breakfast and lobby bar but I didn’t understand them clearly.

This 'upside down' hotel was great choice for LA visit. Location is great, next to metro station. Not far from Crypto.com arena if you plan to visit NBA/NHL. As it is maybe 2nd highest building in LA, the views are stunning. Staff was very friendly and room was always cleaned faster than we came back from breakfast (probably not everyone has this experience).

I would not recommend to book with breakfast, they were quite bad also some of the waiters weren't really nice behaving. I can't understand how such great hotel have this bad kitchen, or serving pastry that feels like 2 days old. This experience can't be saved by hostess which was great, sadly.

Nice clean room with a good view. The gym is excellent too.

The Breakfast situation is unacceptable. There is no bouffe. Your are only allowed to get something from a limited menu up to 39$ which is equal to one small plate. Then you also need to pay 10% taxes plus 18% gratuity fee on top of this price, and all these for a breakfast that you already paid for during booking, as I paid for a room with breakfast included. The waiting time until you get served was almost an hour.

Our room was nearly perfect – modern, spacious, and very comfortable. It offered a highly enjoyable and relaxing environment for our stay.

There was a noticeable and persistent odor in the room, which seemed to be the lingering smell of the vacuum cleaner used after cleaning the floors. It was quite unpleasant and detracted from the overall comfort. Additionally, our experience at the hotel's restaurant was disastrous. It was neither clean nor did the food taste good, making it a highly disappointing dining experience.

The elevator system and all the xtra fee’s especially parking was outrageous!!!

The intercontinental is equivalent to a high rise resort in DTLA. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. The views from the lobby was breathtaking. The gym facility was state of the art. The breakfast at la boucherie was delicious. The food in the lobby was also good. I would recommend anybody that love upscale hotels to stay at the intercontinental

A few of the hotel restaurants that I planned on attending were close. Spire93 and Niku. They were close because of protests in the area.
