We had a great stay overall at Hotel Gaillon Opéra. The room was surprisingly spacious and gave off a lovely French feel with its elegant curtains and charming little balcony, exactly what you'd hope for in a Paris hotel. The beds were extremely comfortable (hard to leave in the morning, honestly!) and the bathroom had all the necessary amenities for a fuss-free stay. Location-wise, it couldn’t be better. Right near the Louvre, making it a solid base to come back to after a day of sightseeing. It's also conveniently close to metro stations, so getting around the city was quick and easy. One of the unexpected highlights of our trip was meeting Jeff, who works at reception. He really went above and beyond, checking in on us during our two-night stay and even giving us a wake-up call the morning we were due to leave, just to make sure we didn’t oversleep. He’s honestly the best, full of great food and drink recommendations and plenty of laughs. Thanks for the conversation and care, Jeff, you made our stay that much more special!

Chocolat Foucher , Pierre Hermé , and Cedric Grolet within 2 minute stroll Garnier and Lafayette Haussmann within 5 minute stroll (Northward) Louvre , Monoprix (lol) and Palais-Royal within 10 minute stroll (Southward) Rue Quatre-Septembre is so close (Japanese food >< ) Reasonable price for the room and its facility. Staff is very friendly. Major Metro Station is Opéra (Line-8 is easy to use to both Eiffel and Opera Bastille)

Rue Gaillon can sometimes feel a bit scruffy and messy, especially on weekends

Very good location. Market, starbucks, metro, so close. We walked everywhere in max 30 minutes, no need to use train if you like walking. Hotel room was small but actually enough space, because you only sleep at the hotel. Shower and hot water excellent. TV was ok to watch some french programmes. Our room was at 5th floor. Elevator was fine. We had good time. Thanks to Jeff and Laurent, for welcoming us at the desk day&night.

Narrow rooms, but ok. All paris hotels are same :) we took our slippers with us, it can be given by hotel.

Nice hotel with great location. Staff are very nice. The room small but cozy, the only missing thing is small fridge (it would be excellent if you can add it to the room in the future), Cleaning of the room - every day, bed is totally ok for 2 people, not loud street, sometimes door of neighbors could be hear, but in general it not noisy. Location is cool, very close to the center and a lot of Asian restaurants around and bubble tea:)

Location was excellent, staff at reception were great. My first floor room was a good size (and was told it was recently refurbished), shower pressure was very good, sound insulation with street was excellent although noise between rooms was not so great. Many good restaurants, cafes and breakfast joints are located within 10mins walk; a large supermarket is just around the corner; the Lourvre, Jardins du Tuileries, Musee D'Orsay all within 20 mins walk.

Lift was out of use on one night though it was fixed by next morning.

Excellent value for money. Staff friendly and helpful. Clean, comfortable room, that contains a TV, security box and fridge. Good towels. Contains two man elevator. Perhaps not huge but more than adequate. Generally quiet street. Adequate breakfast that included three hot egg based dishes, that we enjoyed three days running. Whilst we walked everywhere there is a metro station close by.

The shower over the bath was very good but with a sloping ceiling, it can be a minor inconvenience for tall people.

Really cute property. Front desk was super helpful. Room was big and bathroom big. Pillows a little flat but was comfortable slept well. But overall very cute hotel in a great location. They held our luggage all day while we were out

The only thing that was not great was the shower/our shower head. It seemed the pressure was not good and I’m sure people have struggled in the having the water stay down into the tub cause there were some bits of mold on the ceiling.

The room was more spacious and overall nicer than how it seemed from the photos. The room was clean and tidy. The location was excellent.

There was no minibar in the superior queen room even though it said so on the Booking website. The view from the window was not great since you only saw the other room’s window and some renovation gear. There was a bit of noise from the ongoing renovations from time to time but luckily it did not disturb us too much.

It's central location. Cosy and Homely. Best sleep I have ever had staying in a hotel. Laurent at the reception was amazing. Very polite. Guided us during our trip . Everything was walking distance. Opera house, Metro, Lafayette shopping centre. Surrounded by little beautiful cafes. We took Metro to everywhere.
