The staff really make this place. What a beautiful, friendly, welcoming group of people! Comfortable accommodation and very clean. We loved the extensive grounds and gardens and having a choice of 2 pools which were well maintained. The dining room offers an extensive menu and the drinks list caters for all tastes. Exceptional value for money and a big shout out to Mary and Katalina - we miss you already xx

WiFi was not always reliable and depended on frequent recharge vouchers. Some general maintenance needed on the property but for the price we have no complaints.

Quiet and unpretentious resort, the kids loved the two pools and were often the only ones in there. Rooms were large, clean, and quiet - we had interconnecting rooms (travelling with 4 kids age 4months - 7years) and loads of space. Each room had its own bathroom, aircon and a fan provided as well. Beds are comfortable, rooms are very clean. No fancy trimming but to a decent standard and didn't feel dated. Our rooms had a little courtyard outside and a middle lawn for the kids to run around and hunt frogs and geckos. Staff are friendly and accomodating. Grounds were nice with a fish pond just by the restaurant. The outer grounds feel a little unfinished but doesnt really matter. There is a small playground with monkey bars and a slide - enough to entertain children! Breakfast doesn't open until 8am which was a bit inconvenient with kids so we brought our own. We had dinner here once - was quite expensive and the food was fine but not amazing. There is a cultural and fire show on three times a week which was entertaining. Location was ok. There is not much in the immediate area. We had our own car which we would highly recommend and parking was plentiful. The closest beaches for snorkelling are Natadola and the sunset strip, both about 15-20min drive. There is a little village (Cuvu) nearby (probably 30-40min walk but we drove) with a small supermarket and a couple of restaurants (busy bees and flying fin). Across the road from the resort is a great restaurant - The Junction - with excellently priced and delicious food! The Shangri La is also across the road - we didnt attempt to go but it might be possible to get day passes if you wanted. Sigatoka is approx 10min drive and is a great little town for a local experience with a municipal market on daily for fruits/veges and handicrafts. The kids got their hair braided in town for less than half of the standard resort prices!

Location is fine with your own car but would be not ideal without transport. There is no nearby snorkelling beach but there are loads of places to explore within a 20-30min drive - sunset strip, sigatoka sand dunes, Sigatoka town itself, Natadola beach, and local villages. Breakfast started a bit late for us with small children. Restaurant was pricey and average food for dinner. Don't expect a fancy resort with white sand beaches and lagoon style pools but this is good value for money, unpretentious and suited our travelling style well!

Easy parking- the resort has a nice, large parking area. The Geckos Resort staff were friendly and very responsive throughout our stay. We were very grateful to find that the Resort was disability friendly-in our case, for our wheelchair user. The rooms were clean and spacious. There are 2 pools, one more suitable for younger children because of the steps and depth. The pools close at 7 pm, which was great for us to have time in the afternoon to enjoy the swim. The restaurant and shops are all, of course, hotel prices and mainly in AUD- but it's a pretty good area if you're thinking of finding a local restaurant. There are a few in the area. We had to have in-room dining as we had an elderly family member and the staff were always happy to comply. Overall- a good experience

Nothing that I can think of

We loved the staff all such beautiful people, knew our names after the first day and made us feel so welcome, and they couldn't do enough for us. The resort was beautiful, beautiful gardens and dining area, 2 pools that were immaculate. It was very quiet and felt leisurely and very relaxing. The massages were amazing!!

One thing that I can say I didn't like was the beds, they were too small, only a double and too hard, just couldn't get comfortable. And one other thing was it was hard to get extra towels, they wanted to swap our dirty towels but we wanted one for the pool and one for the shower. The food was a bit hit and miss, the fruit platter was average and could be sensational with all the amazing fruit there and where is all the fresh coconut water!

It's a place that I have been to several times before with my family. Good place to stay with friendly staff and close to local shops and food outlets. It is located only 40 minutes from Nadi airport.

The thing that I didn't like was that it cost $15 to do a load of washing at the property. It should've been offered as part of the service. Apart from the washing price, Gecko's is a home away from home when on holiday.

Really friendly staff, great meals, nice quiet family feel to the place. The groundskeepers and cleaning staff are always working hard to keep everything neat and there is always a staff member on hand to answer any question or help out with anything. Pool was very clean and the perfect temperature. For stormy days there is a great selection of DVDs to watch; and the children liked playing pool or watching TV in the TV room.

Not a big deal to me, but if I had to pick anything, the pillows were uncomfortable and whatever they cleaned the room with smelt like urine cakes. Pillow problem was easily solved by asking for another and the smell was clearly a cleaning product so I looked past it.

Most of the staff were very friendly. Food was a little hit and miss but generally quite good, and good portion sizes. Room and facilities were clean and seemed well-maintained. Overall, you get what you pay for 😊

We asked for a cot when booking, however when we checked-in there was no cot in the room. After we asked for a cot, it took an hour, as well as us asking again for them to bring it to us. Staff are generally very friendly, however can be a little hot and cold.

Staff were friendly and accommodating as always.

There were no hand towels in the bathroom, only 2 bath towels per room. We had 2 rooms with a total of 2 adults and 6 kids. Thankfully we had packed towels. Have been coming here for years and noticed how the prices have gone up but facilities still the same. Lights in the room weren't all working. TV in the rooms are puny, that being said we didn't come to watch TV but would be nice to enjoy the DVDs on a bigger TV.

It is pretty here. With the palm trees, gardens, 2 pools, bure. Is quiet and away from the road. Also is a massage spa here. Great restaurant. Yummy food. Cultural nights 3 nights a week. Staff are amazing. Know u by name which is cool. They make your stay here. Helpful and friendly. They all need a pay rise :) One of the best places stayed in cos of the staff. Rooms spacious and clean. Serviced every day. Close to Sigatoka. Lots of buses and cars that pick u up etc. The Fiji way. 1 hour from Nadi. There are 2 other restaurants close by - a 5 min walk across the road. I ended up staying an extra 3 nights as the other place fell thru.

best thing about the property is the staff managing the place. i interacted with almost everyone on site and they are always happy to talk or offer best of their assistance. the property has good spread out with two mini pools. well maintained and clean fauna. restaurant is onsite along with a cafe. food is good quality although has a few vegetarian options.

the menu could benefit from more vegetarian mains varieties. also location wise not many eateries nearby, but being on Queen’s road, its easy to arrange transport so manageable.
