Ubication

I asked some questions about where is the bus stop from Levi to Tromsø, but the receptionists don't know. Actually the bus stop is right in front of the hotel 30m ( the bus stop is hullu poro). I think this is the basic touristic information that they should know and guide to their clients.

This was a great price for 2 nights at short notice - the rooms are very spacious and the hotel has free parking. The breakfast was one of the best I have had recently - loads of choice, both hot and cold options, and it was included in the room price. Lovely staff, very friendly and helpful. There was a handy lift pass machine in the hotel lobby and we were able to order online at a discount and then print out our data passes loaded with the lift passes a few minutes later. Location wise, it is at the top part of the small ski resort of Levi - easy walking back into town to the restaurants (most of which are owned by this hotel) or to Zero Point for access to the Front Slopes (and into the rest of the ski area). We found it to be quiet at night, even with a very full hotel, and had a relaxing stay here. I would stay again if back in Levi.

The rooms are a bit dated (especially the bathroom), but they were clean and so that's more important. There was nowhere to dry out clothing, which could be a problem after skiing if the weather was bad (no radiators or hooks of any sort, not even in the bathroom as the heated towel rail wasn't hot).

I recently stayed at Hotel Hullu Poro and had an absolutely amazing experience. The hotel’s location is ideal for skiers, with the ski buses coming straight to the property for convenient pick-up and drop-off, which made our daily journeys incredibly smooth. The bus frequency was excellent, so we never had to wait long, and the added bonus of the hotel holding our bags for free after checkout was a thoughtful touch. As broke students on a budget, we often walked to a nearby supermarket to pick up microwaveable meals, and the staff were always more than happy to help us heat them up. Each room comes with a little warmer/dryer box specifically designed to quickly dry out potentially soaked ski gear, which turned out to be a lifesaver after long days on the slopes. The room itself was spotlessly clean and beautifully picturesque, adding to the charm of our stay. The hotel also featured very nice sauna rooms for relaxing after a day on the mountain. Additionally, there were multiple restaurants on the premises—while we didn't try any, it’s a great option for those looking to dine on-site. Overall, Hotel Hullu Poro truly exceeded our expectations by combining excellent amenities, welcoming staff, and genuine budget-friendly appeal. It’s a truly great ski resort experience that I can’t recommend enough.

The hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and adequately appointed. I appreciated having a refrigerator, and we had plenty of room. The balcony was nice to have and the room temperature was not too warm. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the concierge services were really nice. We used it only for an airport taxi the morning we departed. It was centrally located and we were able to walk all around the shopping and dining district easily. Enjoyed it very much

The beds were ok. We had stayed at another hotel the night before and by comparison, the beds weren't nearly as soft and cushy. Still, there really wasn't anything wrong with the beds at Hullu Poro.

The location was fantastic. Bus stop right outside. Airport bus drops there. Bus for Rovaniemi picks up there. 5min walk to everywhere. The rooms are very spacious and cosy. We had a family room. It was lovely having the mezzanine floor for the children. Nice to have fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. The balcony views were like a Winter Wonderland. The hotel building was cosy. Staff were helpful.

The furniture and bathrooms could do with updating. The hotel policy of not cleaning for 3 days. It would be nice to even get the bins emptied. It would be nice to have the option of a small takeaway breakfast if you've paid for breakfast and you have to leave very early. Signs up in breakfast room say takeaway breakfast is €19 .

Before getting there we read reviews about noise in the hotel, I really cannot say anything around that, if not that the room as well as the full floor (3rd) was very quiet and it was pleasant to sleep there. Location is great close to the center as well as to the slopes. The staff is helpful and ready to help. Breakfast was good. Moreover, the hotel owns various restaurants close by where you can go to have dinner. I very much recommend this hotel, it was the cheapest in our trip to Lapland and still one of the best, and definitely the one with the best staff.

I cannot think of anything that didn't work well. Just an obvious consideration, in Lapland you find various accommodation offers which are unique, smaller and mountain-style small houses, this hotel is instead a typical hotel close to the slopes, it's very nice but it's still just a big hotel. For us that worked just fine in this stop of our trip!

Friendly and helpful reception and restaurant staff. The room was great with a balcony, plus some useful cutlery and crockery. There is a luggage storage room, for that awkward in-between time from checking out of the hotel before being able to check in at the next. Plenty of comfortable seating options downstairs. Good location: the shuttle bus to and from the airport stops just outside reception; a very short walk to cafes and bars but still quiet at night. The price is very reasonable for what you get.

Breakfast was ok but some labelled hot vegetarian options would have been good. Its a minor issue though and there were plenty of cold options.

Nice, warm, well equipped rooms. Great location within easy walking distance of most things in town.

Sweets/dessert table at breakfast buffet - what parent wants to have a fight every morning with their children over this? Children, understandably, will gravitate towards a table filled with chocolates, cakes and jellies at the expense of a proper, healthy breakfast. Please get rid of this, or move it to a less conspicuous, less child-accessible area.

Great location, very clean and cozy place to stay. Yes, furniture is a bit old and can do with upgrade. But honestly you only spend few hours there, main things that this property ticked are clean and comfy. Good price for money rather keep it cheaper than paying for luxury.

It has few near by restaurants that are advertised as part of the complex. They are all walking distance and really good food! However, no discount is provided if you are their guests. Also , breakfast doesn’t change so if staying more than 3/4 nights gets boring.

It’s close to the ski slopes. The buses stop right in front of it. We were there at a particularly cold time of -30 for almost week and it was always very warm even with the radiator halfway. Sauna is an amazing thing to have in your room when it’s that cold outside and you need warming up later. Shower pressure really good. Breakfast was included and a really big choice from buffet! All in all you can tell that they have figured out how to give people what they need. Everything is thought through. Plenty of storage, even a cupboard in the bathroom that dries your wet clothes.

The shower floor is incredibly bad, the water flows everywhere. Microwave smelled a bit bad. Should give an option to have a double bed, instead of two singles together that move very easily.
