The place is huge and has everything. We had access to a large, clean and really cozy shared kitchen area which we were very happy to use. We didn’t try the dinner option but it was definitely nice to have. Breakfast was lovely. The space is beautiful and had a really nice spread of regular and Finnish breakfast options. We booked the place very last minute but had no issues with check in or booking an extra night. Hosts were friendly and gave us good advice. Having access to a lake and a row boat was definitely a plus.

I would’ve just liked to have gotten a better idea of the facilities offered and their location since the space was big. For example we weren’t quite sure where the sauna was though we didn’t look very hard. And beware of the mosquitoes by the lake. They’re persistent.

The B&B is well out of town, so it is no wonder they provide an evening meal if desired. We had one on our second night, and it was magnificent, and the cost was very reasonable. Highly recommend that option. The propery is quite large, and there is a pleasant walk through the forest and down to the lake. We had a couple of insect bites though.

A rule of the place is that you have to remove your footwear before you enter a building (your room, the common kitchen are, main building for breakfast and dinner). This becomes a real chore. Bare feet or socks are not an option between buildings because of the grass/gravel/puddles. The bedroom curtains were ineffective at keeping out the light. No power point at desk height.

Superfriendly staff. Beautiful location with great sauna at the lake and option to use the rowing boat (rowing between the water lillies). Very clean room and great food. Free parking

Nothing about the B&B but take anti-mosquito spray with you when you go to the lake.

The grounds, environment, staff and room were all exceptional. It was such a relaxing stay and the ambience can’t be beat. They have rowboats to take on the nearby lake and it’s an amazing little experience.

I wavered a bit on the “location” rating. The location isn’t exactly convenient, it’s certainly not walkable to any amenities. But the grounds and actual surround of the b&b are incredible. Just something to note. Also, the only toiletries provided was shampoo, which is fine just another thing to keep in mind

Cozy, family like atmosphere. Most of the guests had common topic for discussion on breakfast: Savonlinna Opera Festival and its performance in the previous evening. The breakfast had a local touch with currant juice, home made rolls and owen baked porridge. There is also a living room kitchen for guests to share if one needs to cook of warm up food. In the courtyard, there is a tennis court with basketball basket, too, and some frisbee golf baskets. Beautiful, well kept courtyard! The pictures are accurate but the place is even more picturesque than in the pics.

Breakfast is fantastic. It offers homemade bread, jams, porridge and seasonal products. Something you can not buy directly from groceries (=positive experience). Really a tasty breakfast ! The room was spacy enough, comfortable beds, quiet location made sure a good night sleep. There is also combined kitchen/living room in all guests use. This is a perfect location if you like outdoors and plan to go on daily hikes. Exceptionally experience is a true Finnish landscape. Unfortunately we did not have time to enjoy the sauna by the lake (you must experience this!) but next time for sure! The airport is 10mins away, but have no fear, there are like 2 daily flights from Helsinki.

Everything was considered well, keeping the traveller in mind. However, one has to know that when travelling in the Lake Saimaa area, having a car is a must, public transport is pretty much limited to city center. Just an idea for the hosts, perhaps a shuttle transportation to/from city center 2-3 times per day, might (?) be a good idea and bring you travellers without a car as well?

Cozy atmosphere and beautiful location in the middle of nature with a lake nearby. However not far away from the city centre. Very friendly and helpful staff. Tasty breakfast with local food. Clean rooms. I would definitely recommend it, also for families.

Extremely clean, really quaint with lots of trees green pastures and lake nearby. Bnb also provided lots of entertainment including darts, a basketball court, volleyball court, sauna, boats and bikes.

Breakfast pulla was a little hard and overcooked.

A beautiful location, very friendly owners, super clean bathroom and room, and the food was superb. Dinner is served at 6 for those who wish to partake, and the food is home-cooked and excellent. Breakfast the same, with a lovely selection of delicious food.

The owners could consider putting up some dark blinds on the windows to block out some light for those of us who are not accustomed to the light so late at night in summer.

A perfect place to stay. Adorable and helpful hosts, lots of outdoor activities, great sauna and really striking barbeque facilities (an old Finnish kitchen and a cozy place near the lake), very tasty homemade food for breakfast and dinner. Recommended!
