The hotel was very clean and in a perfect location — we were able to walk to all the main attractions in town. The staff were friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better.

One suggestion for improvement: during breakfast, it would be great to ensure that food is consistently available. When we arrived, we had to ask for eggs and bread, and ended up waiting about 15 minutes for the eggs to be ready. Making sure items are restocked throughout breakfast time would really enhance the guest experience.

After initially thinking the location was poor, we realised we could walk into town in 10/15 minutes and the choice of food outlets, albeit chains, around the hotel, were plentiful. The small burrito takeaway five minutes from the hotel was a very pleasant surprise as far as food quality was concerned. And you could buy a beer!

Convenient. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Because the TV in the reserved room was not functioning properly, the staff kindly upgraded us to the jacuzzi room (larger). The breakfast was standard fare and fresh.

The motel was tired, walls needed fixing up, baseboards needed attention and drapes need cleaning. Grouting in the bathroom could use a good scrubbing and the grouting around the toilet needs attention.

The breakfast was great, lots of things to choose from and the woman monitoring the serving area was very friendly and kind. We appreciated the attention to the visitor's needs and the choices of options available. The staff were all very accommodating and helpful.

The water did take a long time to warm up in the shower. Also, not the fault of the hotel, but there were kids above us and they were jumping off the bed and running around all hours of the night and early morning. So I would recommend that the hotel keep some lower-level rooms for families with kids so other patrons of the hotel don't have to hear or feel the vibrations of heavy feet.

Loved the friendly staff, beautiful little hotel, spacious rooms, big beds, and lots of storage space.

Only complaint I really had was the AC. We tried to turn it off/ down but unfortunately it never really did that. I had my 9 month old son and his hands were absolutely freezing in the morning. Although he was okay that was the only small thing.

Unfortunately the hair dryer is extremely disgusting. It’s never been clean from the looks of it and handle was all sticky and had leftover glitter from the past guest. I even took some Kleenex to wrap around the handle and it stuck to it.

Breakfast was quick, hot and perfectly adequate. The associate on at night when we arrived was Glenda and she was friendly, funny and accommodating (and she has her name on her vacuum and I respect that). When a friend decided last minute to visit for the night she changed our room and recommended a great pub downtown. She was awesome.

I found the price ($192) for one night was a bit much for Smiths Falls. Not exactly the tourist capitol of the world.

It was the exceptional staff that made our stay top notch! Reception was very friendly and accommodating to some special needs we had. The very pleasant lady welcoming us was able to move us from the second floor to the ground floor without any problem as unfortunately, there is not an elevator. Also, the breakfast was very delicious and had something for everyone's taste. Our breakfast host was also very personable and helpful for our special needs. We enjoyed our stay so much that we returned for another night on our way home.

The outdoor pool closed a bit too early! We would've liked it to be open until 9 or 10 PM. Other than that we had no other suggestions. We recommend this Best Western as a great choice to stay if you are near Ottawa or staying in Smiths Falls for all reasons.

The room was very comfortable and clean.

The breakfast wasn’t that bad but what I didn’t like was that I had to use a paper plate for my breakfast and the plastic forks and knives were very cheap and difficult to eat with. The rate for the room wasn’t cheap it was fair but I think plates and proper cutlery is a must.
