Booked a garden view room and the view was excellent. The staff were accommodating and I enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Location was perfect for walking along the paths by the river. Construction was a bit of a nuisance.

The air conditioning was very noisy. The taps in the bathroom sink did not turn on and off with ease. Hot water was very hot and hard to control. The vending machine was out of order. I would have liked a small convenience kiosk to purchase snacks.

We have stayed a few times now and love the hotel. It’s spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable and in a perfect location.

The breakfast. This is the 2nd time we haven’t had a good experience in the breakfast room but today was the worst. We waited 20 minutes for someone to come and take our order and in the end had to go and find someone then when the order came out they had forgotten to butter the toast but once again no one around so you could get their attention. We could understand if they were busy but there was maybe 10 people in there so really no excuse. Next time I shall not book the room with breakfast included and will go elsewhere to eat because the service is terrible.

It's a beautiful hotel in a terrific location. They've kept historic touches like the wooden room doors and bathroom fixtures. Most staff was friendly. I was in line early for an event in the gardens and one of the hotel managers (I believe) encouraged me to buy food and drink tickets inside before the show and when he saw me inside later, he wished me a good time at the event. The ticket sellers were kind. Front desk staff were efficient and professional if not overly friendly. A man (some kind of security?) questioned why I was on the grounds about 2 hours prior to gates, making me feel uncomfortable. I was clearly not homeless (wearing a dress) and I was near the gate for the GA event so that should have been obvious. The lobby is large and comfortable with lots of seating. I greatly appreciated the text message advising me that my room was ready prior to expected check-in time!

It's expensive. I stayed there specifically to have a room to freshen up in for the event (I live in Saskatoon). It's a lovely, historic hotel overall but the room was fairly standard. The bathroom taps had very low water pressure and there is very little self space in the bathroom to unpack toiletries.

The view was amazing and the hotel is a great historic location, which was very neat to walk through and explore. The staff sent us a dessert and fruit plate for our anniversary, free of charge, which was very nice gesture and added to our guest experience. The pool area was clean and the hot tub was actually hot, which we enjoyed.

There was no complaint about our stay. It exceeded expectations and we highly recommend booking this historic hotel.

Central location,close to all amenities and family who live close by.Suited us because although visiting family we wanted comfort and independence.A place we’ve wanted to stay at on previous visits and so it was good to live a little dream.

Poor wi fi and staff unable to sort or offer help , paying for parking,and thought better use of the lovely garden - tables chairs afternoon tea opportunities missed to enhance the business here as well as enticing outsiders to look in.excellent but

We had planned on using the hot tub but sadly it was closed. I booked a river view room and got a city room. The extra hundred dollars held on my credit card was not explained when I checked in either so I would've appreciated that

Paid for parking and there was none so they kindly removed it from our bill. Also we got an extended check out until 1230 at no additional cost. Also the food in the lounge and restaurant were 5 stars! Will stay again

A corner room was small but it also was a last minute booking. This is the only thing. Everything else was great!

This is one of the great railway hotels and should not be missed. We were lucky enough to be up graded to a king room with river view and wet so grateful as it was lovely. Very comfortable room , large and well appointed with great river views. Easy walking distance to all down town and great walks along the river.

The hotel is an architectural marvel. Excellent location. Great breakfast. Magnificent river views from the rooms.

They didn't tell me I had to let them know in advance to clean my room.

The hotel itself is beautiful, the rooms are old and usual, the beds were comfy but it was very basic. The option for breakfast was not to the level of Marriott, very primitive and expensive choices. The company should invest more if they want to keep this hotel
