nicely landscaped, easy access to everything.

the fitness center is not free for resort guests - they charge $7 per day, which is very mean considering the amount of money we spent to stay there. Parking $10/day, extra $25 for amenities, whatever that is.

We loved the spacious layout of the condo. Also we really appreciated the complimentary upgrade. The proximity to the water was great, showers had great pressure, the kitchen was accommodating for cooking, and parking was easy. We did expect a better ocean view as requested and per the pictures advertised. We had a view of the ocean from the side of the property.

We only had two memorable slightly annoying experiences that called for a lowered rating of staff. First disappointing encounter was the towel person that stated we needed an addt'l towel coupon card just for the addt'l towel, politely requested, for use on the chairs. The towel person let th gentleman behind us take multiple towels without handing her anything. Also he did not stay in the pool area. And lastly, the front desk person could have been a little nicer when we requested an hour later check out. The option to use come down and shower in the lobby did not seem adequate of an offer. We are very tidy, the room did not need much time to be prepared for the next guests.

The room was big, and the best part is having a full functional kitchen, washer and dryer, which worked for a family of four. The resort is well maintained. Nice garden and swimming pools. Beautiful oceanfront. Perfect destination for chasing sunrise and sunset. It’s close to everything: food truck, restaurants and ABC store is a short walk, gas station nearby, snorkeling and other swimming gear rental services inside and in front of the hotel.

They will not clean your room until you check out

Fantastic views; lovely staff. Kids loved the grounds and the pool. Rooms and bathrooms nice. Easy access to grocery store across street. Amenities were convenient. A few miles from fantastic snorkeling and you can rent gear at property. We liked that there wasn’t a boardwalk with constant people in front of it. It gave a more peaceful vibe than in southern Kaanapali resorts.

There isn’t easy access to swimming on the beach from the hotel. There’s a small beach area nearby but it became deep and had a little too much pull for the kids. But again, the easy snorkeling and swimming was a few minutes drive south at Airport Beach with some public parking so that wasn’t a problem. And we rented gear at our hotel.

The room had everything we needed and was very comfortable; the common areas are great and there’s a lot to choose from: two swimming pools, a restaurant (where the food and cocktails were delicious and the prices were reasonable), all kinds of shops inside the resort and outside, nearby and within a walking distance, making the location of the resort great, even though if it’s an hour drive from the airport. The staff was very friendly, especially Vange, who checked us in and informed us we had been given a complimentary room upgrade as well as a bottle of champagne to celebrate our honeymoon, who also checked us out, explaining everything about the property to us; Christopher, who booked put amazing helicopter tour for us; and Linda, who booked our Luau to celebrate my husband’s birthday and the manta ray snorkelling, which we both did on the Big Island after we checkout out from this resort.

Nothing, we liked everything!

Extremely friendly and helpful staff! It was our first time to Hawaii and Kaanapali Shores was perfect..pools were nice, right on the ocean, near stores and restaurants. It's kind of a trek from the airport and all the "tourist" activities on Maui that people will suggest, but well worth it for what you get.

We only had 2 "issues", if you would even call them that... but it does feel a bit dated but nothing too bad, still worth the money! The other was that when we checked in, there were 3 receptionists checking people in, but only one was handing out the lei's at check in.

Absolutely lovely hotel! If I am to come back to Maui, I will stay there again. The territory on the hotel is what I loved the most. Easy access to the ocean right from the pool area. One pool was mainly occupied by families with kids, the other one by people drinking cocktails and reading books. I got an upgrade for a studio room. It was enormous. Everything was clean and neat. I could only hear my neighbors’ door opening and closed, no other noises.

Reception staff wasn’t the friendliest one and they looked tired and annoyed. The only exception was the lady with brackets. She was the warmest and the sweetest one of all

The premises are wonderful, nice pools and beach, 1 bedroom studio apartment is nice, clean and confrontable (except for the sofa bed in the living room that is very UNCORFOTABLE) the kitchen is fully equipped

The sofa bed in the 1 bedroom studio is not comfortable at all, my adult kids slept on it and woke up with back pain and aches everywhere, they said the mattresses really think and they felt the springs poking on all parts of their bodies. it may be good for a small child but not good for two adults. We will not go back as 4 adults in the 1 bedroom studio.

We were immediately upgraded to a one bedroom when we arrived!!! The room was the best room I have ever stayed in. We adored the large living area with the comfortable couch and the movie rentals. I was pleasantly surprised there was a washer and dryer in the unit. That made my day! The restaurant on site was amazing with extremely friendly staff as well as the shopping sites at the hotel. We will return.

A larger selection of menu items would be nice. Maybe add a mahi mahi item like the other places in the area?

-had amazing view this time. (Our second visit) -amazing staff -pool, actually swimmable beach, bar, food all in very close proximity. You can just stay here and enjoy your full stay.

-condos need some renovations. Carpets, tvs and internet need upgrade
