Location was fantastic (I was there to visit the Field Museum), Lobby staff, store and amenities were great. Room was nice, corner view of city, bed was comfy, bathroom great, easy hot water in shower. Lots of good restaurants all around, including breakfast options. Taxis and Uber easy to setup, fast to arrive.

Minor or hard to avoid, but the EL train was one block over, and sounded like a jet flying overhead and room heater kind of noisy so had to wear super duper earplugs to sleep. Not sure if rooms on the south side would be quieter, but worth asking. I needed an extra blanket, which they got up to me as soon as I realized, which was pretty late, so I was grateful.

We spent our final two nights in Chicago at the Hilton Garden Inn in the southern part of downtown Chicago and had a great experience. The hotel’s location is ideal for exploring the museum area of Chicago, with the so-called Museum Campus within walking distance. We also very much enjoyed the more cultural vibe compared to the northern part of downtown Chicago. Our corner room on the 24th floor immediately impressed us with a mesmerizing view over the city. The bed was large and comfortable, the bathroom was excellent (with an especially nice shower), and the air conditioning helped to maintain a comfortable temperature (although we’d recommend turning it off at night because it can get quite loud). We didn’t have the chance to try the breakfast or the ground-floor restaurant, so we can't comment on those. Overall, we had no complaints and would absolutely recommend the Hilton Garden Inn to anyone looking to explore the southern part of downtown Chicago.

The location couldn’t have been better for us - there is so much to do just steps away! You can see Lake Michigan from the property and it’s absolutely gorgeous. The room was comfortable and had great AC! Front desk staff was super nice and the place was easily accessible for Ubers/Taxi rides.

We didn’t drive, but the parking would’ve been outrageous had we driven in. It seems like this is a common thing throughout the city though. The elevator was a bit slow, but it was a really tall hotel - so that didn’t surprise me either. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here and have little to complain about!

Everything was amazing! Staff were really sweet and helpful! The room was AMAZING!!!! I was upgraded to a corner room near the top floor and it was such a wonderful experience! The cleaning staff were also really nice. I was able to have a conversation with one of the cleaning staff members and she was really such a sweet lady. I actually saw her walking home when I had already moved out and she remembered me and was really nice again! It just goes to show that she wasn’t being nice as part of the job but was actually a kind person naturally.

The best part of the stay was the EXTREMELY helpful staff. During my stay, I had some extremely rude and obnoxious neighbors. While the hotel can't control who stays there, the staff - Especially Gustavo - really helped to resolve this professionally and quickly. I think as a traveler one of the things you want to know is "How will the hotel handle unusual but unpleasant situations?" Gustavo was amazing, and really made things right.

They were weirdly protective of their "free breakfast." One of my days I was refused entry into the banquet hall. It also was below the quality I'd expect. The sink in the bathroom would always spill water everywhere. Very minor concerns overall.

The view was immaculate

The check in process was a bit lengthy there was no kiosk as advertised when checking in. The line was ridiculous felt like the front desk agents could’ve advised us that we were able to check in through the app, and My shower wasn’t clean upon arrival. Other than that everything was great the view, the bed, the space of the room I loved it. Would definitely stay here again.

The room was beautiful, with views of the city and the lake. The room is also well stocked - I love when hotels have the large bottles of shampoo, etc, so I can use it without feeling guilty about the waste generated by all the tiny bottles. There were plenty of outlets both electrical and USB. We didn't even have to pull out the power block we normally use.

Rooms were great, very awesome hot tub and glad the fitness center had elliptical machines. Location by Grant Park and walkable to many places was a bonus too!

Not having an official sign outside was super difficult to find and there is little to no parking in front so it too multiple drives around the block to locate the main door and find a place to pull up for Valet. Valet parking was crazy expensive and the price was not listed through Booking.com nor was it told to me at the front desk. My room was across from the elevator and you could hear EVERYTHING people were saying while they waited...there should be some better way to sound proof against this. The attached restaurant was a joke, horrible service...after being done eating and waiting for forever, I started my timer and it took him over 9 MORE minutes to catch my eye for me to wave him over...I would be very careful encouraging guests to dine there or use it as a plus.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. And the view was spectacular!

The desk in the room had a shiny glass top. Because of this the mouse on my laptop did not work properly and I had to find something to set it on to make it work. A providing mouse pad would be exceptional. The only other knock was when we asked for a breakfast of recommendation on a Sunday morning, and the place recommended to us was closed. Staff should be aware of alternate business hours of the businesses around them for weekends.

Friendly staff, easy check in, good location Staff was kind enough to hold bags until our train departure after check out. Enjoyed the dining restaurant inside of the hotel.
