The property was clean and tidy and in a very safe area. The staff at the front were always very nice

The location is very far from the subway so it was hard to use public transport.You can catch the bus but it takes about a hour to 2hours depending on traffic.which is unpredictable in New York.We ended up using Uber most of the trip it cost 45 to 55 depending on where you were going in manhattan.But you could get a Uber pretty easily anywhere .And if you stayed in manhattan the cost of accommodation is triple ,what you pay in jersey.So it still ended up being a lot cheaper even with the cost of Uber

The area the hotel was in was very nice. The bus stop was 2 short blocks away. The view from the front of the hotel was beautiful. The beds & pillows were exceptionally comfortable. The room was large & bright. The room was on the first floor & easy to access. When the bathroom became steamy after my shower, there was a clear spot in the middle of the mirror that didn't fog up. Sweet! You had decaf regular Lipton tea in the breakfast room. That's rare & much appreciated.

The bathroom needed more counter space & more hooks on the walls to hang pajamas & clothes. The hair dryer was very weak. A bigger more powerful one in a bag under the sink would have been better.

Im a Youtuber. But this isnt a paid review. Location was good along Hudson River, across is the view of Newyork's beautiful skyline, the area around was beautiful for a relaxing walk. Ferry to NYC was 3 minutes walk, bus 158 to NYC was a minute walk. The hotel was clean, rooms were clean and nicely decorated. Staff was friendly and responsive. I forget my laptop charger after i checked out. I called from DC and requested to recover charger that i left in the room and keep it and i will collect it after 3 days. The staff was responsible. I checked in again after 3 days and they returned me the charger. As for the breakfast, the menue was basic but good like cereals, bread, waffles, fruits, sausages etc.

The breakfast should include a little more options like boil eggs, fresh fruit juices etc.

We booked this location so that we would be close to NYC and have some privacy. The view on the city is really beautiful and the room are spacious. Though next time we won't include balcony for extra money as at the end we didn't use it at all haha Also, a really good side is that bus for the city (n.158) is really close and there's next to the hotel a market place with few restaurants and a shop for groceries which is really great considering tha the city is big:)

We are from Europe (Croatia), but didn't except such a difference for price and what do you get. I wonder hows the difference then form NJ vs. NYC neighbourhoods🙈 Towels, shampoos, everything you can get without a problem, but a little more diversity for breakfast should be included for the price. You won't have continental/European breakfast - but have realised that this is common to all hotels when I was looking an accomodation for NYC.

The breakfast was pretty decent, I didn't need to eat any other meals until dinner. I quite liked having a mini-fridge and microwave in the room. I just went to Whole Foods that was nearby, grabbed 2 nights of food and ate that instead of eating out. The hotel is next to a strip of restaurants and Trader Joe's, so that is also pretty convenient. Most importantly, the BED was VERY comfortable! It was one of the best beds I have ever slept in. I also enjoyed the views from my room and free parking. I didn't go to NYC as that wasn't the reason of my trip, so can't speak about public transportation.

Nothing important but there was a piece of raisin on the floor from the previous guests. I think the room was clean enough though. Just an oversight as the carpet is the same colour as raisins.

I've been staying at this Comfort Inn for many years. It's my hotel of choice because of its location, fair pricing, service and staff and overall value. The hotel is located right on the Hudson River in the town of Edgewater and is very close to where I grew up ... ie: the town of North Bergen, just a 10-15 minute drive from the Comfort Inn. A Trader Joe's store is a 2 minute walk from the hotel. Also in walking distance are numerous shops, restaurants and services. The nighttime views of Manhattan from the hotel's rear deck are simply spectacular. The Comfort Inn isn't fancy, but it isn't unattractive by any means. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed and comfortable.

I had an early Dr appointment and they were in the same parking lot.

With the time change it was already dark when I arrived. There was a small lot by the entrance that was well lit but full. There wasn't enough lighting outside this area so until it was light the next morning I didn't know where to park. I used a debit card for the $100. deposit and was told it would be refunded at checkout. When I checked out and asked about the return of my deposit they told me it would take 7 to 10 business days before my money would be returned.

The New York view from the hotel was absolutely beautiful, waking up to such a view and walking around the neighborhood were so nice. Also, the location was really nice, all markets and food places were within walking distance. By taking bus number 158, you can also reach out easily to New York. The rooms were also nice and spacious. I will be back again here!

The breakfast could have more ingredients

Bkft was ok. The room was a little small but workable. Location was great.

My wife did the reservation, and as usual we didn’t have the right room. I went to the desk and told them: my wife reserved a balcony and it wasn’t there, just a water view. We specified a balcony. They said a double bed room doesn’t have a balcony. Why would they not mention this? We paid $38 extra. Almost the same thing happened last year! The site is flawed and we’re not happy. So what is the company doing about this? KC

We were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness, the renovated rooms, the mattresses and linens. The rooms were a decent size (bigger than an NYC room) and there was plenty of storage. Quiet, comfortable. Nice shower with excellent pressure. Free parking. Bus to NYC a 2 min walk away. Lots of restaurants and shopping within 5-10 min of the hotel as well. We expected a motel but it was really more like a hotel which was nice too. Had a nice vibe. The staff were all very nice and checking in and out was efficient.

The breakfast was just ok, but it was free. Coffee was terrible. But again, it was free.
