The room, particularly the beds are comfortable. Easy check in and check out. Close walking distance to a mall for cheap eats, and outlet shopping.

Breakfast has fewer options than the Hampton Inn used to. Potatoes on day one, no potatoes on day 2. Wish it had cut up fruit. I will likely never use Booking.com, because I way overpaid. I mean not just a little, but way too much. I was rushed into decisions, and will be more careful next time. That booking had NO REFUNDS< NO CANCELATIONS, which is nuts. Lesson learned. I dont mind a second party booking agency, but this gave me huge limits, and way too much for the price of this room. So not a happy camper.

I love the renovations they’ve done since it was Country Inn & Suites. I loved that they had the Disney channel available on tv. That was a plus for my daughter.

Breakfast was okay, same breakfast everyday but glad they have it of course. Might recommend changing the Egg's presentation, I mean, scrambled one day, then Egg's patties the other day.

This is my 2nd time at this hotel. I need to tell that the location is great but, I am kind of disappointed with the Staff, especially the 'Manager'. We arrived at 9:45am and we KNOW that check-in is at 3pm. Most hotels in the NYC area allows you to do early checking taking into consideration so many flights are Red-Eye Flights. We asked for the room at 9:45am and the manager said "No, check-in is at 3pm" but he said "If you tip me, I can give you the room" - IF the hotel policy states 3pm is the check-in so everybody should be compliant with this, but it seems you have to tip the manager for you to get an early room. Of course I did not give any money to him. At least he allowed us to drop luggage in the Storage room until checking

We liked the proximity to EWR, the staff and our room. After a very long flight we took the shuttle service from the airport. The shuttle driver, Richard, was kind, efficient and very pleasant. He was very helpful with loading and unloading our heavy luggage and we very much appreciated the conversation we had with him while in transit. The young woman at check in was also very efficient and accommodating. The breakfast staff was also efficient and kept the tables cleared, the food stocked and were friendly as well. Our room was most comfortable and obviously the cleaning staff takes great care in preparing the rooms.

Everything was kind of okay three things I didn't like the airport shuttle was really late 2 my husband didn't like the breakfast wasn't much for him to eat we had to go to IHOP he doesn't eat eggs and most of the food that was there 3 we didn't like the fact that a cleaning personnel went in our room with out permission even though we had a sign hanging on the door they even left a bottle of cleaning supplies in the room and they didn't remove the trash we were unhappy about that and the shuttle we had to wait a hour and half for the shuttle

It was very easy to get from the airport Newark with the courtesy hotel shuttle to the hotel. The rooms were modernized and we had a really nice shower in our suite. The receptionists were very friendly, professional, and helpful, The breakfast was included and although the breakfast room was not very nice and tables have not been cleaned, it was a benefit for us. We had choosen the Hampton Inn & Suites at Elizabeth because the Garden Mills Mall is in walking distance to the hotel and we wanted to take the chance to do some shopping before our cruise out of Newark.

Someone should be in charge cleaning the tables in the breakfast room.

Receptionist was in a bad mood since we call her to ask directions on where to ride the hotel shuttle, then when we got to the hotel she was rude, I guess she was having a bad day? But come on, you work in the customer service area, please be kind. Shuttle drivers were kind and friendly, and the receptionist at the front desk ( before 6am) he was completely the opposite; he was helpful and friendly, thank you!

After traveling all day, we appreciated the bar and food options. Ruben was tending bar and was amazing, he kept the conversation going. Several people joined us at the bar, which made for an enjoyable evening. We ordered the sliders, the food was wonderful! We would definitely stay here again. We also appreciated the free airport shuttle.

The lobby tv was very loud and turned to Fox Channel. It was very annoying having to talk over the tv volume and listen to "news" people discuss politics. Especially one-sided viewpoints. The weather channel would have been more appropriate.

Location was the best! Breakfast also made it worth it.

Workout room - door was unlocked and towels were above the one treadmill, so I couldn’t get to them when someone was on it. Tv didn’t work and no air. Homeless guy hung out on the bench. Juan was also not very helpful. Felt like we were putting him out by asking questions. Another girl worked the night shift- sorry her name was challenging but she was amazing! Zuya? Really helped answer all our questions about the area and New York.
