As soon as I stepped foot inside the hotel I was made to feel very welcome. Check in was very easy. The rooms were more than ideal for my stay of three nights, enough storage space on the top floor room for everything I brought with me without making the room feel cluttered. Yes there are certain parts of the bathroom that were a little rough around the edges but I felt more than comfortable with that. These are quite old buildings and almost impossible to keep absolutely pristine - especially considering the great value for money being offered here. I explored quite a few districts of Paris and the location of the hotel made it so very easy to get around. staff on call 24/7, whether you are coming in at 4pm or 4am someone is there. Loved myself stay as a solo traveller and would highly recommend to anyone in a similar boat

Not a lot I can mention really, lift is quite small so if you have accessibility requirements might not be the place for you.

At all stages the staff were friendly and helpful. My small single room was clean and had everything I needed including access by lift, a hairdryer, a fridge, and peace and quiet (the window looked onto a courtyard). There was a kettle and coffee machine but I didn't use them as there were so many nice cafes on the street outside. The bathroom was very small but clean with a well-functioning shower. This is not a luxury hotel and it's not beautiful, but for the price it's great value. The location is central and good for transport links, in a lively area with loads of places to eat and drink.

Very minor things, which made no real difference to me. The door to the toilet (separate from the bathroom) did not close properly - but it was a single room and I was always alone, so this didn't matter. No hand soap was provided in the bathroom, but there were plenty of sachets of shower gel.

The location, the staff, metro station close, even thought it was near the Gare de l'Est, I felt very safe. I left the hotel at 4 AM to catch a bus to Saint-Denis Universite for Aerobus, and the station was also very close. First time for me to hear a hotel policy about leaving the room key at the reception, but honestly I was better this way. Lots of restaurants, bars, and a market around the hotel.

For the location, and the price, I can complain about anything honestly. Maybe that the door was hard to open/close but once you understand how it works, it won't be a problem.

Yaz is SERIOUSLY so nice and friendly. The room was good value for money. There are some great restaurants nearby.

Not the property itself (and no fault of their own) but the location can be a bit unsafe. We were almost robbed when walking around Gare de Nord.

Great location if you want to go to all the main attractions, 5 minute walk to the nearest metro station and quite close to Gare du Nord so was easy to get to. The staff were exceptional and friendly, was lovely to see such a happy welcoming from them each time we came back to our room. Loved our balcony view which was great for pictures. The 24/7 concierge desk was a plus and put our minds at ease for safety.

Allot of road noise as is a popular district for people to hang out at late at night, suggest you bring ear plugs.

I like that although some of the interior appears to be "dated" the room was spotless and complete with amenities that u would not expect for this budget. The staff are so helpful and nice and the room feels homey.

Had a bit of trouble with the door but front desk was always happy to help. Shower had good pressure but takes time for water to heat- just.very small things that can be ignored overall and maybe subjective only to my experience

I had time to spare after breakfast and had a walk by the canal the other side of the Gare de l'Est. I have been visiting and passing through this area since Eurostar opened, and I had no idea it was there, nor the charming park.

The booking.com page said that reception closes at 10 pm. If I had caught my intended train, this would have been fine. However, due to a tragedy (not connected with me) in Dorset, my connection was massively delayed and I had a meltdown when I finally got to St Pancras. It would have saved me a lot of anxiety and distress to have known that I could get into the hotel whenever I managed to arrive. Luckily, I found another website on my phone which said access was 24-hour.

Nice staff and super convenient location, and very good price - hence very high grading as I just needed somewhere to sleep and wanted to spend money on other things. So the hotel elevator was too small for me as a claustrophobic person but stairs worked fine even to 5th floor. Clean room but worn down and small, with toilet and shower rooms separately, and old. Bedlinen super fresh and crispy clean and the bed was amazing: super comfortable madrass, pillow and duvet. I slept like a baby. No problem to leave suitcase by reception during the day.

Great location. Perfect for a 1 night stay. The staff were very friendly, which doesn't always happen in lower-end city hotels, and that really makes a big difference to the experience. It's a 10 minute walk from Gare du Nord & Gare de l'Est stations. Nearest Metro only 5 mins.

It's cheap & cheerful. I can't say any negatives because it's an inexpensive hotel and that's just fine, and its what I expected for the price. It's clean and functional.

The nicest staff ever!! :) I really enjoyed my stay there - everything was super clean, they even cleaned my room after one night already. There was a mini fridge and a coffee/tea machine, hairdryer and towels, everything that I expect from a hotel. There are many restaurants and cafés nearby, the metro is also very close. Honestly I would definitely come back to this hotel. The only reason I'm giving a 9 and not a 10 is that the hotel probably needs a little bit of a renovation but it's not a big deal.

Everything was ok!
