Nol Kyoto is a modern hotel with beautiful design and large rooms that were very comfortable. The staff was very nice and helpful. To get to the hotel we took the Karasuma Line form Kyoto station to the Karasuma Oike station which was a quick 5 minute walk to the hotel. The Sanjo Station was about 12 minute walk away which gave us access to other train lines as well. The area around and the hotel and to the south and east of the hotel have so many incredible restaurant options in walking distance. Everything was accessible from the hotel which proved to be very central. The hotel itself provided a beautiful space to recover after exploring the city. The wood baths and showers were amazing and we slept very well in the beds. The washer/dryer combo also allowed us to clean our clothes which was helpful and we could start the load and not have to wait. Great option for a wonderful stay in Kyoto.

What seems like an unassuming property on the outside was incredible on the inside. The check in and check out experience was easy and they had luggage storage and luggage forwarding services which was incredibly convenient and very handy. The room was incredible, the interior design was very well thought out and there was lots of space. The wooden bathtub in the room was definitely a luxurious experience! Our room also came with a washing machine/dryer which was an incredible addition but be prepared the time it takes can be anywhere between 3-4 hours for one load. My husband and I cannot say enough good things about the room and location. The location was also convenient with just a 10 minute walk to Teramachi. Everything! Our room was very spacious with a fair amount of light and little luxuries. The room had a sliding partition to divide the bathroom from the sleeping area, as well as a washing machine/dryer which came in very handy. The common area of the hotel was a great space to sit and sip the free sake available for guests and a great opportunity to meet other guests and learn about their travels. The location was perfect. Nishiki market only a 10 minute walk away and the random bespoke shops in the area were mind blowing! Interesting architecture of the buildings in the vicinity of the hotel.

I loved everything about this hotel! The architecture and decor were beautiful and modern, the wooden tub was amazing (I soaked in it almost nightly), the staff were lovely and kind, and the free sake bar was a plus! Location wise, it is less than 10 min walk from the subway, less than 20 min total to get to Kyoto station, and there are many great restaurants nearby. The room was very comfortable, quiet, and spacious

Location was great, really close to the nishiki market and centrally located to get to all of Kyoto. Hotel was very clean. Also the complimentary coffee and soft drinks as well as sake in the evenings is very nice and we took advantage of it almost every day.

I didn't realize from the pictures when booking that the rooms don't really have transparent windows. They windows have opaque dividers so you cannot see out but it does let light in. You can open the windows a little bit but it was surprising to us.

Lovely hotel in a good location. The wooden soaking tub in the room was divine and the shower may have been the nicest I have ever taken. The room was huge and nicely designed. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The window of the room was covered by a shoji screen but looked out into the lobby of the hotel where there were bright lights shining at night. We ended up actually going out into the lobby and turning some of them off since they were quite bright in the room. I wouldn’t stay in that same room again but would happily return to the hotel.

Travelled with family and a small child. The room was cosy and comfortable. Staff were friendly and attentive. Free drinks and snacks available throughout the day from their lounge. The location is pretty good - many small eateries nearby and Nishiki market is down the road.

It is a 7 to 10 minute walk from the nearest subway or bus station especially if you have a child that wants to be carried! We would come back again after our child has learnt to walk more consistently!

We loved this boutique hotel!! It was near markets, food, and places to grab a cocktail! We felt safe walking everywhere and enjoyed the free sake and snacks in the afternoon daily. The staff was very kind and accommodating! You won't go wrong staying here!! Excellent air conditioning and we loved having a washer and dryer! It helped so much!! We know You will love it too!

The property is in a very good location walkable to 2 train stations and also to Nishiki Market and Daimaru. There are convenient shops nearby and the property provided Coffee, snacks, cold drinks and even sake (in the night) for sampling. Rooms are of good size and they even have a bath tub and washing machine (which I find very useful). Staff was helpful using (google translate) to call us a taxi and gave simple directions. We will definitely return to the hotel if we visit Kyoto again.

Such a beautifully designed hotel. Perfect synergy between traditional Japanese style and more contemporary design. The room I stayed in had an awesome Hiba wooden bath which was so relaxing.

The two primary negatives of the room: there was a random step about 5cm high in the middle of the room, which I consistently ran into because its placement is a bit ridiculous. Should be covered by some sort of cover. The second thing was that the bathroom tap was far too close to the edge of the sink, it made it difficult to use the tap to wash hands etc.
