The soundproofing between the different suites is well-executed, allowing guests to enjoy a peaceful environment without disturbances from neighboring suites. Additionally, the hotel's location in the city center is a significant advantage, providing easy access to various attractions and amenities. The guest suites are well-equipped and maintain a high standard of cleanliness, ensuring a comfortable stay for all visitors.

The hotel does not have an on-site restaurant, which requires guests to venture out to find dining options nearby. Furthermore, the street-facing windows lack sufficient sound insulation, and we can hear noise from tourists and traffic at night. Lastly, the curtains in the rooms are not blackout curtains, which may lead to early morning disruptions due to sunlight filtering in.

We had a wonderful stay at R&Run Kyoto, thanks especially to the *exceptional staff*. Everyone we encountered was incredibly helpful, professional, and genuinely committed to making our visit as smooth and enjoyable as possible. The location is unbeatable — just a few blocks from Nishiki Market and walking distance to most of Kyoto’s central attractions. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and we appreciated the convenience of the in-unit washer/dryer. An iron and board were also provided on request, which was helpful. A few things to be aware of: Two of the three bedrooms had no windows, which made them feel a bit closed-in. Our girls stayed in one of those rooms and found the wall-to-wall mirrors somewhat uncomfortable. The view from the main living area and master bedroom faced a small fenced terrace containing HVAC machinery, so there was no usable outdoor space or open view — despite the presence of a terrace, it was marked non-accessible.

1. Mention clearly in listing which rooms have natural light and which do not. 2. Consider making the terrace either accessible or more visually screened, especially in premium units. 3. Option to modify mirrored walls or offer alternative décor for guest bedrooms.

The apartment was so spacious. It had a washer/dryer combo, which we appreciated. Being able to wash our clothes in the middle of our trip enabled us to travel for two weeks in Japan with only a carry-on! The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. Loved the deep bathtub too! Staff was very supportive and accommodating. They brought us an iron & ironing board to use during our stay as well as water bottles daily if requested. Received a great recommendation for Ramen too!

Since it was Gion Matsuri festival, we wished that they had shared event and activity timeline information with us as an evening cultural event with music marched right down our street.

This is a great option for a family or group that wants to be together and not separated in separate hotel rooms. The location is perfect and the facility is well appointed. The kitchen is small but efficient and the combined washer dryer is especially valuable in the midst of a long trip (which makes for lighter packing)!

This is a very family friendly and cost effective option in a great location in the beautiful city of Kyoto. The only limitation is that our 3 bedroom unit had only one shower/bath but the walk in shower was quite efficient.

The rooms were very clean, spacious (for Japan) and comfortable. The service was amazing. I was rude and forgot to notify them of my change in arrival time ( I was quite late as we got lost at train station, missed train, started out later than anticipated, etc.). The reception desk was closed by the time we arrived all of us hot and tired. But they left very easily followed instructions to get the key and we found it no problem. I was able to check in the next morning. They were also concerned because I had previously told them I was forwarding my luggage but they never received it (I changed my mind and ended up not forwarding it but again, I was rude and forgot to let them know). The washer AND THE DRYER worked well and they had free water bottles in the fridge which was so nice to drink upon arrival. They easily took care of forwarding my luggage to Tokyo (they even called the hotel). They left a lot of pertinent information including maps and suggested places and restaurants to visit.

I could have wished it was a little closer to train station but only because it was so hot and humid. Normally, a 10-15 minute walk would not have been a problem. It is, however, very close to Nishiki market.

We had a wonderful time in Kyoto, and the comfort and quality of accommodation at R&Run was a big part of that. The apartment was spacious, well-equipped, and very comfortable. It was perfect for our family of 5. The location is excellent, just a short walk to markets, restaurants, the high street shopping area, and easy access to a couple of train stations so you can get to other Kyoto sights. Very central. We were connected via WhatsApp with the concierge out of hours, and they were very responsive to the couple of requests we had, including organising a taxi & luggage forwarding on our last day. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and spoke English, which was a handy bonus.

The only negative was the couch in the lounge room wasn’t comfortable to sit with 2 as it sagged in the middle. Nothing else. The rest was wonderful.

We loved everything about our stay, from the moment you step in, the hosts explain everything to you in detail about the apartment and the location, and their recommended visits nearby. The accommodation is very close to key attractions including nishiki market. Easy walking distance to public transport. Very handy having a washing machine and dryer in one. Never had an issue drying our clothes. The apartment is very very clean and modern. Fresh linen service available on request. Water bottles provided. Beds are spacious and very comfortable. Delicious bakery nearby too called Flip Up. Loved our stay and highly recommend!

The staff were amazing, so helpful with everything from directions, taxis, and restaurant bookings. A special thank you to Chou, who met with every taxi driver to ensure they knew where we needed to go. The location is amazing near the market, lots of shops and great restaurants. The apartment was clean and very comfortable.

We had to change dates for our trip so we didn't get our preferred apartment so we went with a different one which had a large dining table and chairs and two sideboards which made it crowded and no room for a couch or lounge chair. I could see this from the floor plan and photos when I changed my booking, se this is just for information.

I can honestly recommend this apartment to family or friends travelling together. We stayed here as a family of 6 (3 couples). The apartment had two well sized toilets and bathrooms and was well equipped as a serviced apartment. The facilities were clean and tidy and the staff were always happy to assist when asked. The location was excellent as well. No need for public transport can walk to most places.

The living area is a little small so if you are looking for a large common area this is not the place.

We are a party of 7 with two young kids (6 & 4yo). I needed help to send our luggages to R&Run and when i informed the staff that the self checked service aparment i booked in Osaka wasn't forthcoming when i approach them for advice, the R&R staff even pinpoint for me two places i can inquire on luggage delivery service when i arrived which was near the Osaka apartment. They even gave me the format of the address i should put on the form. We managed then to send our luggages over and they assisted to monitor when only part of the luggage arrived the next day. The apartment is so clean and our grandkids enjoy the space. We were able to sit around the long table for chats in the evening while having a meal. It has a equipped kitchen and within walking distance to Nishiki Market, Gion with many food places close by. Staff are friendly, professional and helpful with inquiries, we get fresh towels and water daily and room vacumn and made up at mid stay. Definitely a place which we would like to go back to stay - strongly supported by our grandkids.
