We had a great stay! Staff were so friendly and welcoming. They were very helpful in organising luggage transfer for us- filling out the forms and everything. The room was lovely- comfy beds and good quality bedding and a nice bathroom. The hotel is in a great location, close to multiple bus stops, and a train station. It is on the doorstep of Rishiki market and walking distance to lots of other attractions.

The location of the hotel was exactly in the center and approximately 6 minutes walking from the Nightlife of Kyoto. There are convenience stores and a boardwalk right across the street, the staff in the hotel are so friendly and positively reacted to every request of ours.

The elevator stops at the reception which is at second floor every time you want to go up or down.

Rooms are a decent size, with two twin beds which are very comfortable and soft. Great location - there's a 7/11 right nearby and there are multiple long streets full of shops and restaurants to explore.

The walls are a bit thin, so we heard some of the street sounds, but we were so tired we could just tune it out when we went to sleep. Just be careful if you're a light sleeper!

I particularly liked the location, it was quite close to a lot of very interesting restaurants and stores. Plus, it was close to bus stops and train/subway stations that made it easy to get around the city! The staff was very friendly and their English skills were good too which made checking in and out simple.

For American standards, the bed was a bit too firm but I was still able to sleep well so it wasn't a huge problem. Having to turn in the key each time was a bit confusing but understandable. The walls were a little bit thinner than normal so I could sometimes hear other people's TVs.

Staff are real jewels! So helpful and kind. Kudos! I appreciated possibility to exchange messages with swift respone. Rooms were very spacious especially for Japanese standards. I am not a fan of this particular style of decoration, but the room was comfortable and clean. 7/11 in front of the hotel and very nice pub on the ground floor for coffee, beer and/or snacks. I really liked the possibility to use the laundry/drying. No chemicals needed, just few coins. And the location! We were visiting Nishiki market for breakfasts :D Walking distance to Yasaka-jinja, Gion, Sanneizaka and even Kiyomizu-dera (not to mention Pontocho). Bus stop close to bring you anywhere else.

The bathroom is tiny, but managable.

This was a wonderful place for us. The room was clean (and especially bathroom-which is a blessing). The staff was kind and helpful, and the location was fantastic—a quiet yet enjoyable neighborhood to spend time in. Gion is easily accessible by walking. Also pretty closes to busses, and different subway lines. Without a doubt, we recommend it.

Great central location, a short walk from shopping streets and just a few blocks from the subway. Staff were very pleasant, and responded efficiently to messages both before and during my stay. Facilities were excellent, including good wifi. Very satisfied with my stay and would certainly return.

I struggled a bit with the hot water description; perhaps it needs some revision? (Bathroom facilities were e fine - it was the description I had trouble with.)

Location is perfect. Staff friendly. Room is clean. The airconditioning unit was leaking on our first night we were woken up with a trickling sound of water dripping. They move us into different room which was lovely

The smaller room has limited ventilation & lighting but otherwise good size for what Japan's usual hotel are

The location is perfect. Close to a shopping center, restaurants and on walking distance to the subway entrance. The manager, Mr.Kodera, is a very nice and helpfull man. He even helped us to book a restaurant. We really enjoyed the hotel's hospitality. There is coffee and tea available the whole day long. If you go to Kyoto, don't hesitate and book the L.A. Mart Hotel Kyoto.

Location is really great and all staff were lovely. Nice sized room with plenty of space. Hotel offers laundry facilities which was very handy.

There was very little ventilation, especially in the bathroom so towels stayed damp most of the time. Also, unfortunately the beds were not the comfiest.
