The well-located hotel is affordable and delivers a straightforward hotel experience. At this price point, the room meets expectation. I arrive at midnight and the staff was very welcoming, and was very easy to work with when I called ahead to notify them. They help me reduce the stress of a late arrival.

The bathroom was functional but needs a visual improvement, with plumbing and surfacing needing an update. The selection of items for breakfast was good and the freshly baked croissants were nice. The only negative mark is the scrambled eggs which may have been from a package....they had an odd creamy texture.

The bed was very comfortable and the room (including the bathroom) was very clean and well laid out. The location of this hotel is excellent, with a short but pleasant walk (mostly flat with a couple of gentle inclines for those with mobility issues) into the central shopping and entertainment area, which is teaming with eateries and shops. The breakfast was excellent with an extensive range of very fresh produce, including rich coffee and lovely bread. The parking outside was easy to access and not too expensive. A supper recommendation would be La Reserve on the same street - truly wonderful food and a very warm welcome from the staff.

This hotel is perfect for cycle tourisme in the Veloscenie. Central, clean, fantastic young guys in reception, care for the bicycles, adequate room for one, two nights in this beautiful city.

During the night, any drunk guys make noise in the square in front of the hotel. Difficult sleep. I would reccomended a dedicated space for bicycles?

For a single person travelling in a group like I was the hotel is good. I have stayed there many times before and the staff are always helpful and friendly. The location is fine right in the center of a small town near to restaurants.

The room is small although for a short stay it is ok. The toilet was stained which I did not like and is why I did not give this full marks. The reception area and stairs are looking a little tired and worn.

Clean tidy and comfortable room. The hotel was situated in a central location ideal for exploring the town. Special mention to the young lady on reception who was pleasant and friendly, despite having to undertake several other work related tasks at the same time as her role on reception.

Parking is limited.

Hotel Ibis in Alençon was very easy to find. Its location was perfect, just 10 mns walk to the city centre. We were able to park directly in front of the hotel entrance. Parking is free after 17:00. We had a warm welcome from the receptionist. Our room was comfortable and quiet.

Friendly greeting ,convenient ,room was basic but clean ,breakfast was very good , the hotel was convenient for good choice of restaurants. Free parking outside overnight.

The price with breakfast was quite expensive, it needed a hand towel as well as the 2 bath towels, the hotel needs updating , the carpets are very worn and the decor needs refreshing. Most of the restaurants in the vacinity were fully booked so even though we found a lovely local pizzeria eventually it was a bit of a nuisance after travelling .

The staff were fantastic, we met three of their staff at different times during the day and they were all wonderful and very helpful. It is right in the center of Alençon, great location.

The cleanliness was a little disappointing, notably some hairs on the bed sheets.

The comfortable reliability of IBIS in a location with easy access to the old medieval centre of Alencon.

We were allocated a room that had been smoked in by the previous occupant. On returning to reception, the receptionist was occupied on the phone and seemed reluctant to move us. She did, eventually, but without apology!

Everything - we were doing a long distance cycle and mostly camping so this was one of our few hotel stays. The staff were great and stored our bikes in the luggage store. Comfy bed and hot shower.

No kettle in room but I guess this is more unusual in France.
