Clean room with everything that we needed. quiet location, but near to town and lakes. Nice big garden to relax in and enjoy a glass whilst enjoying the company of the chickens (who also provided the fresh eggs for breakfast). Breakfast was a real treat with home made jams with fruits from the garden ... And the best homemade yoghurt I have tasted ...french toast was a treat too. Great location - only a short drive from Tunnel and a nice town to explore and enjoy an evening out. Our hosts were really friendly and we will happily stay with them again any time we are in the region

The B&B was easy to find and not too far off the motorway to LeShuttle and in fact made a good stopover as it was on the main RN to Calais. The property was very pleasant and had a good outlook. Although on a main road it was quiet as the room was at the back of the property. The owner was very pleasant and spoke quite good English (I'm sorry to say we don't speak much French) Breakfast was good and sufficient with fresh croissants bread etc.

There was nothing not to like other than the tea and coffee making facilities lacked sufficient tea bags (we're British after all!) and milk. After asking the owner she did give us another two milks.

Wonderful house in an amazing garden! At the bottom of the garden is a gate that gives access to the path along the lake, nice walk (slight detour) to the town. The room with en-suite has its own entrance. Breakfast is in a very charmingly decorated dining room. The host is very helpful and made every effort to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Breakfast with eggs from her own chickens, home made jams and home baked cake was lovely and plentiful. We stayed just one night on our way back to the UK, next time we will try to have some more time there. Ardres is a lovely little town with several restaurants - we had a great dinner. We'd love to go back.

We had a very comfortable, clean quiet room with private covered parking. The garden is beautiful and you walk through it to get to the lake. Isabelle the host is fabulous, extremely friendly and welcoming , giving recommendations on places to eat in the village which were a short walk away. Breakfast was excellent with lots of fresh homemade food including freshly laid eggs.

This is the third time we have stayed here. It is located within easy reach of Calais. There are quite a few restaurants in Ardres within walking distance, but if it is pouring, then there is plenty of parking in the town. Isabelle is a lovely host and the breakfast is good. The jams and extras produced by Isabelle were lovely. Parking is right by the room within their garden. Isabelle kindly upgraded us to the larger room as no-one else was staying that late in the year!

Having to walk outside to go for breakfast isn’t ideal in the winter months, but selecting this property means we accept that!

We stayed overnight on our way back to the tunnel (30 minutes away) and what a great little gem of a stopover. The private self contained boutique style double room, one of two available, was very well equipped, beautifully decorated / furnished and very comfortable. The rooms are part of an old house dating back to the time of the Revolution but now fully renovated to modern standards and sits within its own extensive private gardens near the lake. The setting is very peaceful and relaxing, so a good nights sleep is guaranteed. Breakfast is served in the large shared dinning room adjourning the sleeping area and like the bedrooms, is also beautifully decorated in a boutique style making it a relaxing and comfortable space. . The Continental style breakfast was beautifully presented of excellent quality, very fresh and included many home-made items, all of which were delicious. Isabelle, the owner, was charming and very helpful throughout our sadly short stay and took the time to show us around and explain the history of her home. The nearby town is only a few minutes walk and has numerous good quality eating places to suit all budgets. Cannot recomnend the place highly enough, would definitely stay again, hopefully for a few days and happily recomnend it to other travellers looking for a quality stopover or short break holiday. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Only being able to stay for 1 night.

Superb breakfast with wonderful home-made jam from home-grown fruit. Kind and friendly landlady. Very convenient car parking a few steps from my room. Attractive site, set in gardens with lake visible in background. On quite a busy road, but set a long way back and very peaceful. Very easy drive to/from the ferry.

Nothing to dislike at all. The sign at the gate could be more visible - I twice failed to spot it when driving along. Foraging for dinner in Ardres was a bit of a challenge but the landlady gave helpful advice.

Isabelle made us very welcome in their beautiful property and we had a wonderful time. The location, room and breakfast was perfect. Isabelle couldn't do enough for us and we enjoyed the company of Watson and Le poulet! We will definitely return and would highly recommend to others!

Very friendly, welcoming owner. The property has very spacious front and rear grounds. It's within easy reach of the Channel Tunnel (about 20 minutes). There was a wide choice of local and homemade food for breakfast.

Only a little difficulty finding an evening meal locally. Either plan ahead or ask when you get to the town centre.

This was the second time we have stayed here. We returned because of the location and the feeling of being comfortable. Parking is on the premises by the room. The room itself wasn’t huge and access to power points was very difficult, but the room just has that comfortable feel about it. Coffee, tea and water were provided, but no milk for British visitors (we brought our own). Walking into town for an evening meal isn’t a problem and there are plenty of restaurants. Isabelle is a lovely hostess and breakfast was good with home produce on offer.
