Located in a very pretty town with lots of facilities for visitors. The hotel was very good considering the price. It had a 'homely' feel and the staff were very friendly. The hotel had a very good restaurant and bar and the food and drink were inexpensive for what was on offer. It was nice to have a room that had no frills and and the bed was quite comfortable.

Although it did not bother me I could see that some people may be put off due to the hotel's proximity to a roundabout that is quite busy at times. The room I was in was double glazed so I hardly heard ony of the traffic noise. If you like to sleep with the window open then it may not be the best place to stay. The shower could have had a proper handle fitting as it had to be held all the time as it would not attach to the wall fitting.

Very friendly atmosphere, like staying with family relatives. I had a meal in the evening (buffet)and the food was good.

Good location. Breakfast was good in the circumstances as we forgot to book! Parking right outside the hotel was also good.

Parking is a nightmare. We were very fortunate to get one of the 5 spaces next to the hotel. The stairs were difficult - wide, turning and no handrail in places.

Basic accommodation, looking rather run down and dated but everything was clean, and the shower was fine. There is a cellar where we could leave our bikes safely overnight.

Proprietor not very welcoming although in fairness we arrived before it opened at 6pm and phoned to let him know we had arrived. The breakfast, at additional cost, was a baguette, a croissant each and coffee. The hotel is located a bit away from the centre.

No hassle. The manager sent me a message because it was a late check-in. Everything went to plan. It is a good “one-nighter”

Because it is mainly overnight stays for travellers it can get a little noisy because some people arrive late (and they are never quiet!!) and some people get up and leave early. Apart from that, no issues whatsoever.
