This is another place that rates quite high for my family, with 30 years of experience of traveling to Europe! The owner is phenomenal and warmly welcomed us when we arrived. As it was before our room was ready, we could leave our luggage at the property. Communication prior to arrival was excellent. The facilities, including our beautiful room and bathroom, are great. The breakfast room has plenty of options. The exterior courtyard was peaceful and charming. The location of the hotel is perfect, being a 1 minute walk to Chateau d'Azay-le-Rideau. The small village is serene and easy to explore during a short evening walk. We parked (2 nights) at the free spots in "Parking de La Passerelle", about 5 minutes away. There might be free overnight parking a bit closer at L'ilot d'Azay, but ask beforehand if it is free and legal. Definitely make Hotel de Biencourt your choice when in this part of France. You will not regret it!

Absolutely stunning. Beautiful room over looking the street. Bedding was beautiful as was the decor. Fantastic, clean bathroom. Gorgeous garden area. Breakfast looked amazing, but we unfortunately had to leave before 8am so had to get breakfast on route as breakfast is served from 8am on Sundays. Amazing patisserie around the corner which opens at 7am though if you’re in a hurry. We parked in the secure garage around the corner, 3/4 minute walk from the hotel for an extra €10 I think it was including tax, book this when you make your reservation. Have dinner in the beautiful restaurant to the left of the hotel almost next to the stunning chateau. The restaurant is called Coté Cour-make sure you book as it’s often fully booked. The chateau is a MUST. €13 each for adults. Children under 16 are free. Go before 5pm if you want to look INSIDE the chateau. A lovely little town to potter about in. The icecream shop opposite the hotel is open until 11pm much to my twins delight!!!

This is a lovely Hotel managed with precision by Bruno and the team. Our room was a small suite. It was on the road and there was chattering noise which went with the windows closed. No issue at all. The location is superb. 50 m from the Chateau. Bruno recommended restaurants which were excellent and again a short walk. Paring is available pre booked in a nearby locked garage. Well worth it. Breakfast was lovely.

The room was cosy and nice. We had a cottage on the ground floor away from the street not that it was noisy, the centre of the town is walk only. The rooms have been redone and they are amazing. Breakfast is with local produce from very chic. Beds were really comfortable but the pillows too soft.

Location of the hotel is very close to the entrance to the chateau. Everything has a price which is well written and you are informed from the beginning about it. The reception closes at 8pm so make sure you understand all the rules. Breakfast is pricey and also children between 4-11 years old pay half price of it. I would have a glass door or something between the toilet and the shower as all the steam one night went into the room.

We were cycling the Loire a Velo and this was a great little hotel for an overnight stop. The room was very pretty and everything is very stylish and clean. The receptionist was so helpful. As it was a Sunday night, she gave us a list of restaurants which were open and kindly booked our chosen one. Breakfast was good. Our cycles were safely stored in a locked garage just across the road. The garage also had a charging point for electric cycles.

We had a warm welcome on arriving at Hotel Biencourt and we were shown to a lovely room. The furnishings were very tasteful and we were fortunate to have an outside terrace - a real bonus. Breakfast was a very good continental spread. Our hosts were very helpful regarding the local area and places to dine. Would recommend.

Parking in Azay-le-Rideau is not easy, the one way system is very confusing when you arrive in the town and can't access the hotel. We finally parked in the nearest car park and got a discount rate from the hotel.

We arrived after reception had closed (at 8pm) but one of the staff had phoned, then sent instructions by email as to how to gain access to the hotel and our room. The hotel is full of character - it is in the buildings of a former school (boys and girls) and is well placed for good local restaurants. Moreover, it is only 100 metres from the entrance to the château which is an absolute gem. The room was comfortable, the staff very friendly and the breakfast was excellent with plenty of local produce.

The fact that we could only stay one night! We will be back!

The hotel is located in the heart of the village right next to the Château. Thomas made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, he was a real credit to the hotel and was always on hands with advice and recommendations for local activities and restaurants. The breakfast was very good and the hotel is very tastefully decorated throughout. We would love to stay there again. if you are travelling by car it is worth pré-booking a parking space. which is in a secure car park close by. There is a barrier at the top of the road the hotel, so you may need to get out to get the code from the hotel.

Our favorite stay in France...we couldn't ask for a more perfect stay or a nicer host. Walking into our room brought instant joy and relaxation. Hot showers, a very comfortable bed (actually slept great here!), a hot, delicious breakfast that kept us satisfied for an extended time (really incredible) while we explored the area chateaux and wine caves. Our host, Thomas, kindly guided us to the best of places and helped us book at a local restaurant. We were also introduced to a knowledgeable wine shop owner not too far from the Hotel (Jean-Micheal) who then gave us additional guides further out. oh! I forgot to mention: the Chateau is right down the same lane (2min?) plus 6 excellent restaurants are all around to wine and dine you. The nicest host who truly paid attention to details and the friendship of genuine hospitality. We stayed 2 nights and if there had been openings, we would have stayed 2 more. We will return! Thank you for a fantastic experience all-around.

The location in the middle of the small village of Azay Le Rideau and close to the chateau is great. The staff, Thomas, Elisa and others are very helpful booking the restaurant for us and assisting. Their breakfast is very complete and a nice set-up. Restaurants nearby are charming. I had a tea break in the afternoon with my son at Biscuithé and it was awesome.
