Wonderful location on the edge of town but within walking distance of the gardens and the village.An interesting history of transformation to this historic building. A welcoming and helpful arrival from our host and a room overlooking the gardens and adjacent rural land, a quiet and serene scene. On site restaurant served a wonderful meal and breakfast, so very self contained. The rooms were well sized and serviced and met our expectations for comfort.We found our stay calm and restful.

The staff was amazing. Very friendly and informative. Made an excellent dinner recommendation and reservations. Helped us book a boat tour and wine tour. Later in the evening upon returning, we met more staff and enjoyed talking to them and putting our pin in the map.

Next time I would book a bigger room and ask for a stand up shower option. Our room had a queen bed and that filled up the entire room. Very cozy and very clean.

A lovely room in a large elegant house with a beautiful garden, within walking distance of the village of Villandry and the chateau. Excellent breakfast with plenty of home made items. They also sell home made foods at reception, including their excellent honey.

I was a little cold on the frst night as it was cold outside, and there was only one duvet, but I asked for another the next morning and it was immediately supplied, which solved the problem. Also they have a set menu for dinner in the low season, which offers no fish or vegetarian options (well, this is France!) so we ate out both evenings. I hope the menu is broader in the high season. We would certainly stay again.

Very lovely room with high ceiling, clean and comfortable bed, French doors that open to a small terrace with a hot spa, which was perfect to star gaze in whilst relaxing. Very good breakfast! The team were very good and had an excelled service attitude.

I think that there could be a coffee machine in the room or at least a kettle. I really missed not having any conditioner for my hair and body soap. Just shampoo and nothing else.

Nice peaceful location and very welcoming. Air conditoning in bedroom made it much more comfortable during our stay.

Bedroom a little bit small however it was comfortable, clean and tidy.

This is a very cozy hotel close to Villandry castle. With SPA and a restaurant on site. It was comfortable, has amazing lounge area, which is in the premises of rebuilt church. The atmosphere is truly special there.

The hotel restaurant has limited offer for dinner, e.g the dessert of lemon tart did not suffice to all guests, so something else was arranged. The food is good but plain.

Comfortable and good size room in nicely renovated property. Grounds and property are very pleasant, and the staff were very nice and helpful at check in.

The fixed 3 course dinner was appreciated as we were bike touring and happy not to have to walk down the hill to the small town to find dinner; however, the food was pretty uninteresting and pre-prepared for French standards, and the wine list a bit pricey. Bike parking is outside, partially covered.

Good breakfast, evening meal was lovely. Staff very friendly My G and T was just how it should be!

Some luxuries let it down a little - especially the bath towels. No tea/coffee making facilities.

The bed was very comfortable, Villandry is a small quiet place to stay

The hotel has a high end air but doesn't really live up to this... the garden was overgrown, the hot tubs were not overly clean (but very chlorinated) the breakfast was completely self serve and limited, there was a shower head over the bath but no space to stand up and use it, we couldn't book a massage or in for dinner (we did leave this until the same day..)

Beautiful garden and building.

A glass of wine seemed a fair price €5 for rose however tiny glass filled less than half was not expected. A bottle was €19 but couldn’t possibly drink a bottle. Please consider filling glasses.
