Charming property with impeccable decorating. It was a very clean and comfortable place and the hosts were very helpful, even loaning a map of local castles and providing advice on visiting them. Breakfast was lovely and the beds and rooms were comfortable. It was well worth the cost.

It was located further out from the city center than I expected (I was not familiar with the area), but it was a nice private respite in the suburbs.

This is an absolutely charming house with equally charming hosts. The decor in the room and throughout the house is totally gorgeous. It is a little outside the centre of Tours but very close to the Tram to take you to city. The breakfast was delicious. This is a beautiful guest house, tastefully and imaginatively furnished, and parking is secured with locked main gates. Access to Tours is best achieved by using the local tram system, and the tram stop is only a 15-minute walk away. Our hosts were charming, friendly, and helpful, and made us feel very welcome. We would certainly recommend La Maucanniere to anyone wishing to stay in the area.

Lovely house, very large and tasteful decor. Huge room and tea making facilities. Frederic was very helpful and gave us directions to Tours for a restaurant. Lovely breakfast prepared by Caroline.

It was no fault of the proprietor that the temperature was extremely hot that night. We opened the windows but the house was on a busy corner and the traffic was very loud.

Perfect location, fabulous house and hosts. Breakfast was great, home baked cake with hand picked fruit also a bonus!

One of the reasons for booking this one was off road parking as car was packed with stuff, which was not available as they have parking for two cars which were already in place when we arrived. Admittedly we arrived late in the day! There was parking directly outside and the hosts ensured us that our vehicle would be safe.

Lovely big old property on the outskirts of Tours. Large bedroom , beautifully furnished. Large comfortable bed with lovely bed linens. Modern enduite shower room. Delicious, plentiful, breakfast with home made yoghurts and preserves. Caroline and Frederique where delighful , helpful hosts. Free parking on site. Quiet location Short walk to tram stop to get into Tours city centre ( around 25 mins journey tome).

Cosy quaint b&b, tastefully decorated with a lot of love and attention to detail. Wonderful breakfast with homemade jams, eggs from the chickens that live in the surrounding garden, and local specialties. Caroline was a great host that warmly welcomed us into her lovely home and gave us good advice on dining and visiting!

Property was well presented and very clean. Hosts were excellent and breakfast was very tasty with local breads and home made preserves (we bought some to take away). Only one night as we were travelling to the south of France, but had a great nights sleep

Now many typical French restaurants close to the property so needed to walk to local retail centre to eat. Inconvenient but not a great problem.

What an eye for detail. From the softness of the towels with the logo stitched on it, the room key ring, the cushions and the soap in the bathroom, to the delicious home made yoghurt, the eggs and jams for breakfast. And also the possibility to charge our car (no fast charger). The bed is great as well as the bathroom. The family owning the mansion is lovely and doing their utmost to please their guests. We loved getting a peak of their daily lives watching the children in their pyjama's on this early Sunday morning. The behaved great, they we're even hushing to not disturb us Do not forget to read the story behind the life choices of the family in the room guide. It's worth it. We spent one night and could not follow the tips but I'm sure they are worth trying. We would not doubt returning when. We are in the neighborhood again

Delicious homemade jams, yoghurt and fresh eggs from own chickens. Strong and delicious coffee, local specialty cake as well as croissants and baguette. Beautiful house and garden. A tranquil oasis. Welcoming and helpful hosts. Definitely would stay again.
