This is a beautiful place to stay! I stopped here with my young son on our travels to the South of France and it was an idyllic location! A beautiful garden for my son to run around and stretch his legs, plus a few outdoor toys. The weather was lovely and there was some garden furniture for me to relax and get some air. We needed to leave early and the host was lovely and provided us breakfast quite early to facilitate us getting on the road - much appreciated! Location wise it's prefect for travelling, 2 mins from the motor way and about 4 mins from a central area with a supermarket and somewhere to eat if you need to stock up. My only complaint was they did not have space for us on our return journey otherwise I Would have booked again!

I missed the turning for the hotel at first, perhaps a better sign would help rectify that. Absolutely no other issues though!

This was the perfect spot for a one night stay having arrived in France via ferry at Le Havre. It was a 50 minute straight forward drive from the ferry in Le Havre, conveniently just off the main road. The accommodation is very clean and comfortable, with ample parking out the front for our Transit Van. Our hosts were very welcoming and friendly. The beds were comfortable and the shower was great.

The breakfast was delicious; if you have specific dietary requirements we suggest you let the hosts know in advance as the breakfast was a set plate.

We stayed in Chambre D’hôtes le close de la Bertinière for two wonderful nights. The place was unexpectedly very quiet given its proximity to a main road. The big, beautiful Limetree avenue leading to the house blocked out all noise. We had a great view out onto the big garden. The beds were comfortable and spacious. Katia and Franck were great hosts, who did everything to make us comfortable and they served an absolutely fantastic breakfast with homemade jam, home baked clafoutis and other delicacies.

I liked the location of the property as it was a prefect way of breaking the journey to Loire. The location is very quiet, easy to find, sufficient parking and near the main town about 2 kms away with a choice of few bars and restaurants. Went for a sightseeing walk around the area which was nice and quiet. Property itself is well looked after and really enjoyed the breakfast in the morning. There is a single paid EV charging point, reasonably priced at 0,32euro/kwh, which was handy for my onward journey as I needed to top my car charge for onward journey.

Only one car charging point at 7Kwh so very slow and took nearly 12 hours to charge from 20% to 80%.

Le Clos de la Bertinière was perfect for our overnight stay - very close to the autoroute yet quiet and peaceful. The room was spacious, cosy on a chilly evening and spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable and we loved the big freestanding bathtub! There are a couple of restaurants for an evening meal in the nearby small town, even on a Sunday night. Owner Franck was so hospitable, and prepared us a very generous breakfast. He even directed us to a local tyre shop the next morning as we had arrived with a flat! Highly recommend this chambre d'hôte; it would also make a good base for a longer stay exploring the Seine/Rouen countryside.

You are always assured of a good welcome and helpful hand with luggage and other needs. The outlook of our room (we have been many times before) gives onto the most beautiful orchard in full bloom.

All the rooms are on the first floor so not really suitable for poor mobility people. Also, the hosts have no control over this but restaurants are nowhere near and often closed in the evenings. Our host recommended a little restaurant in Bouille (10 km away) called Les Gourmands. Spectacular food and welcome - the restaurant is small but welcoming.

Franck and his wife were very kind, the room was spotlessly clean, lovely shower and beautiful garden to relax with a glass of wine (at very good price) Scrambled egg perfect with lovely breakfast.

Our room had windows without a blind or curtains, this is unusual for us personally and we would prefer a dark room for sleeping - but bed very comfortable.

Location was super convenient, breakfast was good, the hosts were very nice. Stylishly decorated room with large confortable bed. Secure car parking and close shops and restaurants nearby.

The room was cold for December, maybe because there were 4 large windows which made the room colder. And there seemed to be no possible manual adjustment to increase the temprerature of the room.

Everything was good! A very easy stop over from Le Havre in a beautiful house set in nice gardens. The room was of high quality and had a motorsport theme which was interesting to us. Breakfast was lovely, communal style so allowed us to chat with other guests. The hosts were very helpful and pleasant.

Nothing-we liked staying here

The hosts were wonderful and welcoming. They did everything to make our stay a great experience and succeeded. We would go back in a heart beat. The gîte is well designed and makes the use of a wheelchair very easy. The bathroom is very big with wheelchair access. We loved it.
