The staff! Absolutely amazing. Really helpful in every aspect. The room was also very clean and comfortable. Really comfortable bed and pillows. The food in their restaurant was exceptional.

Nothing at all wrong with the hotel 10/10 Parking however wasn’t great. Very difficult to get into, confusing and dark. Spaces were tight.

Superb amenities, excellent rooms and great location near the station in Rouen, France (literally over the road!) We checked in following a disastrous arrival at a local Airbnb. Booked online and our rooms were ready within 30 minutes. Hotel restaurant and staff went beyond to make our stay very enjoyable. They gave us late checkout and stored our luggage so we could spend an extra day in the city. The hotel is a family owned business with traditional good old fashioned service (founded 1880) and that certainly shows through the excellent staff, amenities and general overall experience we had.

The lift was only big enough for one person but considering it was built in 1912, this can be forgiven! But…. it was very swift and lots of fun!

Rouen was the end of a car trip through Normandy before getting back to the train to get home. We had a relaxing afternoon, strolling a bit through the historical side and relaxing in the hotel prior of heading off the next morning. For us, expecially the location right across the train station wa a major plus, also the good Restaúrant, because we were tired and did not want to get outside for dinner. Breakfast was very delicious and with many flavours. We received a warm welcoming from the staff with valuable information about Rouen. My daugther fancied the whirlpool with light animation.

Best Western Plus Hotel de Dieppe 1880 is located right outside Rouen Rive Droit main line railway station. It takes just two minutes from getting off the train to reach reception. The hotel is a characterful building complete with a central staircase surrounding a period lift. My room was beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean and had an excellent walk in shower. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning was very powerful - a real asset with temperatures in the late 30s. I also received a room in the exact part of the hotel that I requested avoiding the front as I thought that might be a bit noisy. My room benefitted from good soundproofing. Therefore, I slept well and was refreshed for the day ahead. Nearby, there are several small restaurants and bars including an excellent Vietnamese café / restaurant in the street immediately behind the hotel. This provided a good inexpensive meal. This was my second visit to Hotel de Dieppe 1880 and, like last time, I enjoyed it.

We had a very pleasant stay at the this hotel. We had a room overlooking the train station which was surprisingly quiet at night. Its is an easy walk into the museums, restaurants and shops. The parking was 100m away so easy to walk to the hotel and at a cost of 10 euros for 24 hours it was very reasonable , the receptionist arranged payment. The room was very clean, of a good size, well decorated, lovely bathroom and comfortable bed. The staff were welcoming and helpful. I would always go back when staying in Rouen.

The breakfast didn't look enticing so chose to eat in one of the many cafes in the town.

Directly opposite the Rouen Rive Droit Train Station. Great as I was arriving in the evening. Wonderful welcoming staff and the fact that they have a great brasserie ment I could check-in, get into my room to drop off my luggage and freshen up, go downstairs again to have an excellent meal and after desert I just took the elevator up and could go straight to bed. The next day after the work was done I could walk straight into the heart of the city to check it out. Although I had checked out in the morning I was more than welcome to do some work on my laptop at the business centre in the lobby upon collecting my luggage and before taking the train out of Rouen.

Nothing disappointed me. It was clean, staff was very friendly, helpful and polite. It really was a perfect stay. So the only dissapointing thing is that there are not more hotels such as this one.

Beautiful hotel, very nice staff. The room was small but very comfortable bathroom clean. The hotel is lovely. I can recommend it. Don’t book it if you can’t walk up stairs this hotel is not suitable for wheelchair uses and people who can’t climb stairs my room was on the third floor and the elevator is so little that only one standing person and a little suitcase fits in it there is no chancethat the person in a wheelchair or with a stroller or walker can access it.

Very clean comfortable good-sized room, very pleasant and helpful receptionist, good location on the beautiful railway station square, short walk to the centre. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Breakfast was disappointing. The quality of the products was good, however there was only one person responsible for the whole breakfast room plus the terrace and this was very noticeable: the tables were not cleaned, the breakfast buffet was not filled with new fresh products,... Clearly they should never leave only one person manage the whole room. I would not take my breakfast there again.

Rouen is an amazing place. This hotel is conveniently located right outside of the train station. While at night it is a bit of a dead area, during the day it is quite lively because of the station pedestrian traffic. There are a few dining options nearby, including the hotel's very own restaurant which looked great (although I didn't try and can't comment). The location is overall great if you don't mind a 10 minute walk to the most interesting parts of Rouen. Do account for the sloped climb on the way back. It is not that bad honestly, but as far as tourism goes, the hotel is not completely central. Staff were kind and attentive. Bedroom was along the lines of what you'd expect on a nice 4-star hotel chain like BWP.

During my stay, the fire alarm falsely triggered not once, but twice. They clearly had a problem of some sort with kitchen fumes, which didn't really matter for my anxiety and nerves during both occurences (especially because during one of them I was taking a nap). The design of the shower is such that after using it the floor is a horrible wet mess. You have to use your floor mat to its greatest capacity! The only elevator is quite slow and tiny, so you can barely fit yourself with perhaps a small piece of luggage and backpack.

I always ask myself when reviewing, would i stay again or would i look elsewhere? This is definitely in the stay again category. We booked on the edge of town because we wanted to get the train into Paris of a day, and this hotel is adjacent to the station and it was ideal, but what made the stay was the welcome on arrival and the attentiveness of the staff throughout our stay. Yes it could be a bit more grand and the lift is a struggle, but these things can be overlooked when you have great staff and a comfortable bed
