Location couldn’t be better; very quiet as many streets in the city centre are pedestrianized. The landlady gave us two rooms instead of one (no extra cost) because of a plumbing issue with the room we had booked. The building is historic and charming (no elevator). Rooms small but clean and cute. We didn’t try the breakfast but they offer it. Because we arrived late, the gate was closed and couldn’t call the manager, but we asked a couple of passersby and they helped us call and waited until the landlady came out, which was not too long (worth mentioning that all French people are very nice😄). Too bad we could only stay one night.

The only issue was figuring out the parking situation in advance. If you drive into the city ask if you should park at the Palais de Justice parking lot (closest garage to the hotel). Even if the hotel wouldn’t offer a cheaper parking rate (which they did) I say it’s still worth parking there as it saves a lot of hassle (at least for the first night). It is about two blocks from there to the hotel.

The property has a lot of character you feel you are staying in an old Normandy home. Bed was very comfortable and owner was lovely, restaurant downstairs was delicious and well priced! Place is as central as it can be about one block from tourist bureau!

The shower was just a handheld in a bathtub with very low ceilings so you have to sit in bathtub, bathtub pressure is terrible so you can’t really take a bath as it takes forever and shower’s temperature kept switching. I am not very big and didn’t care especially for one night in such a lovely place but could be an issue for taller people (men).

Very quaint, in the center city, close to transport, near shopping, food and all the historic sites to visit. Breakfast was excellent, coffee, tea, juice, yogurt, bread/croissant butter and jam, cold meat and cheese. staff was helpful, and English speaking. The patio is lovely for coffee or tea. Did not eat dinner or have tea or dessert, so can’t comment.

If you can’t walk stairs, you’re SOL. No elevator, and narrow, steep staircase. We were offered help carrying our bags up 3 floors. Our chambre was small, without side tables or lamps, and only a small wardrobe for clothing. But it was fine for us, with a window overlooking patio. We could hear voices through the walls, but didn’t distract from our stay.

What a quaint old hotel in the Old part of Rouen. There is an Irish connection, as the decorations were Irish plaids and Irish pictures. The small room was comfortable and what I expexred for a hotel that is housed in a building several centuries old. It was quiet during the night. Parking across the square in the parking structure worked fine for while we were there as we did not need to use the car since everything was so close. The area is very walkable. Breakfast was a reasonable price for the price paid in addition to the room. We were there on a Monday and their lunch restaurant was closed. They have both inside and outside dining areas.

Finding it was a struggle as it is on an enclosed square that is not a road. I may have missed the parking instructions in the correspondence. We decided to park in the structure and walk around to find it and voila! There is was!

It’s quite quirky but clean and very comfortable. Getting in at night when the owner/concierge was not in the property was easy. Breakfast was delicious. We had delicious yoghurt, a good supply of croissants and baguette and no annoying little pots of jam. The jam with the breakfast looked homemade and was plentiful as was the butter. The coffee was plentiful, hot and strong however my hot chocolate could have been a little stronger although the supply of hot milk was generous. We w ere offered two cheeses at the first breakfast - Camembert and Livarot. The former was good, the latter is perhaps an acquired taste. The bed was very comfortable and we had a plentiful supply of hangers. Tip: remember to close the curtain of room 13 before stripping off as you can be seen from the reception area!

Steep stairs with no lift if you are of restricted mobility.

Wonderful little place in the heart of the city surrounded by shops and cafes. The price was excellent and breakfast was good. The decor is quirky but quaint. Room facilities were good too

We had not realised it is in a pedestrianized area so it is necessary to park in a nearby underground car park then go on foot to the hotel. It was not a problem once we understood what what required. The hotel validate the car park ticket at a reduced rate so just be aware of the system. Because of the location the street chatter was noisy until late at night (we stayed on a weekend so maybe less revelers during the week)

the location is superb, right in the middle of the old town, near to bars and restaurants. The cathedral was about a 10 minute walk away and plenty of shops to look in. We parked in the Palais de justice underground car park which was only a 5 minute walk away, if you come out of the right exit. The room was clean and on the ground floor which was a plus.

It suited our needs perfectly.

A great location in the centre of Rouen just a short walk from the cathedral. Our particular room was small and pretty basic but OK for a short stay. The courtyard however was lovely. The hotel also runs a tea shop/cafe so being able to sit in the courtyard and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee or a glass of wine was perfect. Be aware that the hotel is on a pedestrianised street so if you’re driving you have to park in the adjacent shopping mall garage and walk from there but it’s close.

The hotel looks like a postcard. In fact, there are plenty of tourists who enter the courtyard just to make a photo. The hotel also serves as a restaurant during lunchtime and as a tearoom in the afternoon. We arrived around noon and had a most enjoyable lunch there. The breakfast consists of tea/coffee/chocolate, fresh orange juice, a croissant, a baguette, youghurt and jams. We were also offered some camembert cheese (probably to remind that it's the capital of Normandy :) The rooms are basic, but everything works, and the room is warm (an important thing in December!). The staff is super nice and welcoming.

There is only one downside that you need to be aware of - the building is quite old and the walls are thin, so you will always hear the conversation in the next room. During the night you will know if your neighbors go to bathroom and whether or not their bathroom door is creaky.

We had a wonderful stay and if we ever travel back to Rouen this will be where we want to stay. The staff was so warm and welcoming and answered several of our questions. They were able to accommodate our early arrival and the rooms were so charming. The location is very near many restaurants, shopping, and we were able to walk to all of the main tourists sites we wanted to see. The breakfast was amazing. The coffee, the fresh orange juice, the croissants, etc... it was exactly what you think a French breakfast should be.

The only downside for us was that we struggled to find parking and Rouen is not an easy city to drive in. However, the hotel had sent us directions on a parking lot close to them, but we just couldn't seem to find it. The hotel is also not handicap (at least we didn't see that it was) accessible. However, they were able to accommodate my older parents on the second floor, so they didn't have as many stairs to climb.
