What a lovely and refreshing stay our family had here! The staff is very kind and accommodating and the rooms were very comfortable. We stayed in the family room for 3 nights, it was really fun because there were bunk beds and situated a bit away from the other guest rooms so you don't have to worry about being loud. The rooms fully darken and there was air conditioning. Coffee/tea is offered all day. They have a comprehensive breakfast option for €16 for adults, kids eat free(July 2025)with hot and cold options as well as fresh fruit. It was an 8 minute walk from the bus, train station, car rental place and central to anywhere in town you would want to go to. The city is safe. You step out of the hotel and see the elephant statue, the photo is what it looks like when you step out and look to the left. We usually use bookings for apartment rentals. And we had just come from a few. But it really felt great to be in an actual hotel where people want to help you and you know it will be a clean place. We were there long enough that we interacted with every front desk person and everyone was nice. Lots of affordable restaurant options within walking distance.

This was a very last minute booking as a flight delay had left all of my original travel itinerary as usuless. I booked the hotel while traveling by coach from Geneva and I couldn’t have picked a better hotel if I had planned it. I contacted the hotel to say that I would be very late arriving and I was told not to worry, someone would be waiting for me. On arrival as promised, the lady on reception was waiting and I was booked very quickly. Which is what I needed as I had been traveling for sixteen hours and desperately needed to get some sleep. The hotel is obviously very old but beautifully appointed, the hotel was very clean and comfortable and the room I had was excellent. After a good night’s sleep, I went down to ask if I could breakfast and was told not a problem at all. The breakfast was excellent and the menu was very varied and the food was absolutely delicious. As for the staff, everyone was so helpful and really made you feel that nothing was any trouble at all. If ever I need a hotel in Chambery again, this will be my first choice. Everything was first class and in particular the staff were a credit to the hotel !

The location of the hotel was superb, in the city centre, within walking distance from most attractions. The staff was always friendly and ready to help. The bed was super comfortable. We didn't use it, but there was a coffee and tea station that you could freely use throughout the stay.

As far as I understood, there are multiple designs of rooms, so this is most likely not applicable to each room, however our room had a shower without any door/curtain and so the bathroom floor would get almost completely wet while showering. Not a huge deal, just a small remark.

On arrival I was made welcome by the receptionist who spoke perfect English. The room was bright, a good size and perfectly clean. The shower room/WC is also a good size. There is air con in the room which can be controlled. Complimentary coffee is available on the landing. Breakfast was exceptional with a buffet of hot and cold items. I consider it was good value for money. The hotel is close to restaurants and shops and 10 minutes walk from the train and bus stations, or you can take a taxi if you have heavy luggage.

I found the duvet a little heavy for summer and was quite hot in bed, but the bed was very comfortable. Some rooms are between floors which involves stairs. This was no problem for me but if you have mobility problems I suggest you let the hotel know in advance that you need a room with level access from the lift.

The personnel is exceptionally considerate helpfulful informative courteous and quick to assist with anything! Amazing! Outanding! Truly exceptional!

Nothing! Breakfasts were delicious with actual homemade additions to the lovely buffet. The menu offered on the board quite delicious well prepared and beautifully presented! Lovely lovely ownership management!

Extremely helpful staff, great location in the heart of the old town. Close to restaurants and cafes.

We booked a triple room for two friends who were not couple. But on arrival we found the room was quite small and only had one quite narrow double bed plus a pull-out sofa bed. So yes, technically three people could sleep but it is a shame one of us had to be on a less comfortable pull-out bed. Not a big deal but it would have helped if the room description was clearer about the bed arrangements.

The staff were very friendly, welcome and helpful. The property is in a excellent location to visit the beautiful town of Chambéry. The property was very clean and comfortable and breakfast was excellent and served until 11. The checkout was at 12 a very reasonable time, that makes you feel that you are welcome guest not hurried out. My family experience in this property was excellent.

There was nothing in particular I objected about the property.

Location in the middle of the old town was perfect and so easy to get to by car. If you don't have a lot of luggage to take in, we recommend driving straight into the Hotel de Ville carpark and then the short walk to the hotel. The hotel has lots of charm with cool modern touches. It was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was great and beds comfortable. We appreciated the air conditioners in each room but didn't need to use them on this visit. Our room was up on the 4th floor so we had a lovely view over the rooftops of Chambery but also the old convent rafters were part of the room - no problem for us and added to the charm.

There is nothing we didn't like. We would be very happy to stay overnight again.

We stayed at Hotel des Princes en route to the Alps from England. We arrived late in hideous weather and couldn't find the entrance to the car park. I phoned the hotel and the receptionist was extremely helpful, she even phoned after a while to check we were ok. Everyone in the hotel was friendly and went out of their way to help you. The warm welcome made the journey worthwhile. The hotel is decorated beautifully and is really welcoming. We had a family room which is perfect as the children had a separate space within the room which makes it easier for everyone to sleep. Our stay was very short but I would definitely recommend this hotel. They were probably the nicest, most helpful staff I have experienced.

We liked the family room which included a private twin beds room for our sons. The staff was very friendly. You are right in the middle of the action with all of old town walkable.

It is located just inside a no car zone so unloading was a bit tricky but they gave temporary admittance. It's a small inconvenience to get access to being in the walkable area for everything else! The nearest public garage is a five minute walk away but many of its payment machines and doors aren't working so getting the car out took a long time.
