Beautiful large room full of light with big opening windows for fresh air. Good curtains to block light out. Quiet courtyard area (until Saturday am when the noisy workmen arrived!) Comfortable bed with nice clean white linen. Useful kitchen facility for use.

Could have done with extra pillows. There was no hand soap in the bathroom (I didn’t ask for any as we had a travelling bar) I suspect this was an oversight. No robes in the bathroom as shown in the photos on booking which was disappointing. Not exactly property related but the parking in the town is very expensive. Also taxis = non existent! We had to drive to our gig at Le Phare, bonus being the parking was free!

Absolutely loved the place, which was tasteful and beautifully coordinated. It felt like we were stepping back in time - with the high ceilings and attention to detail in terms of the decor. The bedroom was spacious and the bathroom was the best I have seen in a while- cleverly set out with his and her sinks. The gowns were a decadent touch. The location could not have been better. Definitely stay here!

Very little, as it was great. However, more than two pillows on the bed (so two people could have two Pillows each) and one of the bathroom sinks was semi-blocked. That said, his and her sinks are amazing in Europe.

An extremely gracious, stylish, hotel in an ancient building, with generous sized, classy & comfortable rooms. It's the best room we have stayed in, in Europe. It was in the center but set back in a hidden alleyway, so was quiet at night.

Nothing, we regret only booking one night

A great place to stay in central Chambery. Nice sized bedroom & beautiful sitting rooms. Very well equipped kitchen which the owners could sell the benefits of rather more.

Breakfast was served from reheated frozen (croissants etc) or previous day's purchase (bread). A number of guests found the check-in process confusing. You have to be happy to climb a couple of flights of stairs.

The property was on the second floor of a unique historical building located in the walking area of Chambery where there were many restaurants, shops, and things to do. The suite was clean, nice and quiet. The shower was wonderful and the in room expresso machine was nice as well. It is self service check in etc which was a bit confusing but ok once we figured it out. We were able to talk with the housekeeper daily and get clean towels etc.

We stayed in the Chambery suite. The double bed mattress was extremely uncomfortable (like sleeping on a bumpy rock) although my son said the single bed upstairs was fine. Also the Wi-Fi only worked in the main area of the house, not in the suite. I had questions about what things guests had access to that were complimentary or not and emailed the hosts but never received a reply from them. There was also no washing machine although it was listed as an amenity.

A beautifully laid out property right in the centre of Chambéry. The hosts were amazing and unbelievably helpful. The breakfast delicious and the whole thing was excellent value for money. The apartment itself was utterly charming and absolutely worth a visit. I cannot recommend enough; a real find. Also my husband parked in the hospital car park - it had underfloor heating and piped in music.

Nothing - loved it. It’s a walk up 2 flights of stairs but that was no problem however for some it might be.

Excellent location. Perfectly clean and hospitable. The quiet was astonishing. It was soooo quiet. Loved it. I slept without earplugs. The breakfast was plentiful with lots of choices. They even offered me fried eggs. Wonderful 18th century building with lots of character.

Note that if you enter at night the stairwell has no light. Be sure to have your phone light ready.

We enjoyed staying in such a historical building. Nice decor, fabulous shower, clean, well equipped.

The email instructions said that if we wanted breakfast, we should send an SMS to say what time we would like it. I sent a text, in French, at 8.30am requesting a 9.30am breakfast. No one read the message until 9.53am and even then they did not reply. We went out for breakfast at 9.35 am.

Fab location on the second floor, accessed from a small mews just off the pedestrianised central part of old Chambery. Walking distance to everything. Huge room full of original features. Two tips: Firstly, don't bring a heavy bag - there is no lift and it's up two flights of stairs. Secondly, the location is in the middle of a pedestrianised area so it's not really possible to drive a car to load/unload. There are lots of nearby public carparks within 3 or 4 mins walk and the nearest drop-off/pick-up place is perhaps a 200m walk.

Places to plug in devices for charging were a little limited. Maybe a trailing extension socket or two would help?

Beautiful suite in the old town of Chambéry. The suites are in an old beautiful building, on the 3rd floor. The house is beautifully renovated and with excellent taste decorated. You feel like back in the 19th century, very elegant and calm. We did not see anyone during our stay. A code is provided to access the house. You can arrange breakfast for 15€ pax. We had to leave early and did not try it, but the breakfast room was also lovely. Ideally, for couples who are looking for a romantic stay in Chambéry. They have Nespresso machine with caps in the room. If you come by car, you can make a reservation at the Q-Park Hotel de Ville, 5 minutes from the house. With the reservation the parking costs less (for us it was 11€). There are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. On Sunday morning most cafés are not open. The communication with the host was very good, they called to make sure we had received the code and to ask if we wanted the breakfast. Chambéry is also worth a visit. Nice place!
