We loved the location. Our room was very quiet, very clean, and comfortable. The bathroom and shower were very roomy. The breakfast was excellent. The hosts were very thoughtful.

People with difficulty walking need to understand there is no lift, so you need to be able to navigate a typical French spiral staircase. Other than that, we loved our visit. Having the beautiful cathedral right across the plaza was amazing! Every night it is covered in lights. In our opinion the Chartres Cathedral is one of the most beautiful we have been to.

Nice breakfast of fresh squeezed orange juice, bread, cheese, salami and yogurt. Good coffee and choice of time for breakfast. It was located on the square right next door to the Chartres Cathedral. The town of Chartres is very quaint and there were hardly any tourists when we were there on a Sunday to Monday and the local restaurants were very nice with a great little area of shopping streets a few minutes away on foot. The little old town near the Eure river was a fun walk with a lot of historic buildings and of course Chartres Cathedral is very beautiful and undergoing some extensive restoration. The walk from the train to the hotel is only about 10 minutes! This is a very old hotel in a very old town, a bit quirky, but cozy and the hotel staff were very friendly.

We loved the experience and wish we had had more time to explore the surrounding area, which apparently has a lot to offer.

Ate dinner at the hotel restaurant, which was delicious. Breakfast included also delicious. Staff very friendly and helpful. Beds were the most comfortable on our trip in France. Room was quiet. Right across from Cathedral, so very convenient.

No parking at hotel - we parked at Cathedral parking and walked (not far), but took only our small bags. It was not inconvenient, but future travelers should be aware of parking.

Super breakfast. The location was fantastic well within walking distance from the station and so close to the wonderful cathedral. It was very quiet and the bed so comfortable that we slept very well. No bells till seven in morning. The proprietress very kindly looked after our luggage till noon

The key to the hotel and room wasn’t in the deposit box as indicated in the email. Fortunately we could speak a little French so a phone call to the proprietor solved the problem!

One cannot imagine a more central location for a hotel – in the old part of town, right next to the Chartres Cathedral! The views from the rooms were impressive. The hosts were so friendly and helpful, and the rooms were charming and comfortable. The breakfast was sumptuous. Since we travelled as a group, we appreciated the lounge area in one of our rooms, and enjoyed a nice bottle of wine there, purchased from the hotel shop. This is a special hotel – warmly recommended!

What a lovely place to stay! We had a fabulous room overlooking the cathedral, with its own sitting area as well as a really comfortable bed. The building is very old and the decor wonderfully quirky but with plenty of modern conveniences - excellent shower, a tiny kitchenette complete with minibar/fridge and 2 electric hotplates, and very efficient WiFi. The welcome was warm, breakfast was delicious and the hotel even paid for our overnight parking, which made it excellent value for money. We certainly hope to stay there again!

Incredible location directly across from cathedral--the church and the square in front of it can be seen out of bedroom window. Hotel itself is in an impressive historical building, with heavy beams and a winding staircase. Wonderful breakfast--juice, fresh pastries and baguette, butter and jam, cheese and meat platter. Very kind proprietress, who offered to let us keep our luggage at the desk after check-out time

No lift, but that simply goes with the architectural limitations of such an historical building. Very little space to hang clothes in our quarters under the eaves.

Look no further... this really is the nicest hotel in Chartres. We liked the atmosphere immediately on entering and the surroundings are also very pleasant. The three of us enjoyed the spacious Henri IV room, overlooking the cathedral and the city on the other side. It was very quiet at night. We slept there wonderfully. Breakfast may not have been very exciting, but the lady/owner? really works her heart out and does everything to make you feel at ease.

The location right on the face of the Cathedral was superb! Loved the authentic touches! We were lucky to chance upon a music festival throughout the neighborhood!

The desk closed earlier than expected and we had to call to get the WiFi. Please post it in the room! Also parking off site was understandable but a hassle for us inexperienced folks. Due to construction on the street it was more difficult than expected.

It was a great location and for one night we were very pleased. The room was huge and the breakfast was very good although mostly meat and cheese. I am a vegetarian so I opted for the fruit and croissants. Fantastic air conditioning and we could bring our kitty who loved looking out the window and people watch. Amazing restaurants everywhere! The hotel does serve lunch which and drinks but we didn't get to try unfortunately! The owners are adorable! Free parking garage with reserved parking for free!

The main issue was cleanliness in the bathroom. There were mushrooms (yes mushrooms) growing around the shower and the toilets were not flushing well. We had to fill the toilet with water to get them to flush properly but it is an old place! We decided not to shower there because it just didn't feel clean. The furniture is old and pieces didn't fit the decor. The stairs are gorgeous but don't come with a lot of luggage because the stairs are tiny! Parking is a bit far but the owners of Le Parvis has free parking in a parking garage
